I've eaten 200g of fat today. Am I going to die?
Hah! I know I'm not going to die, but does anyone know if this amount of fat is dangerous to consume in a day? My calories are at 2000, my protein is under 80 and my carbs are at 20. So I'm done for the day but I am going to be hungry soon! LOL! My TOM's in town so I can't seem to stop eating. I am indeed eating all the healthy stuff, but what if I go overboard on it? Oh dear....

According to my ******, my fat grams per day vary from 25 to 65.
Not sure what they should be but that's what mine have been the last month. I have been eating a lot of turkey, but my fat on my last steak day was 37 grams. |

Hey Carolyn! Yeah, there were some extra calories from some veg and stuff. I overdid it, plain and simple. LOL! I won't put the huge glop of coconut oil in my coffee tomorrow maybe. :P

Monkeyfish, I was relieved to see your post b/c I consumed 163g today (my first day) yikes! I am curious how your next couple of weigh ins were after that? I guess I'm scared I'm going to put on a few lbs overnight!

Dee, despite consuming that much fat, I've still lost a couple-three pounds, and my fat consumption creeps up to that level almost every day it seems. I just keep my carbs very low. I would not fret at all over 163 grams of fat. Hope this helps!

Hey Shal! Yes, the organic virgin coconut oil is solid when it is cool and liquid when it is warm. It does resemble white wax and has a mild coconut scent and flavor. You'll find it liquefies at about 76 degrees fahrenheit or so...so don't be alarmed if it does and it is fine for it to sit at room temperature too.

Thank you so much for your info. I have some and slowly using it in cooking. I actually like the mild coconut flavor in eggs and some stir fry. I was just a little shy with adding it to coffee. I will try a little next time to see if I like it. I really like a little cream but trying not to use cream as much.

Well, not everyone likes adding it to their coffee and if you're getting plenty of fat elsewhere you really don't *need* to add extra coconut oil in places like your coffee, but if you try it and like it then that's awesome!
