I'm finally down to 123.8. Do i really have to do the .2 at a time?! ![]() DS23 has a FT job - not one he likes, though, since it's 11PM - 7AM, and pays minimum wage. He does get a bump for the rotten hours, and has benefits etc. But . . . . I just keep telling him a job is a job and suck it up! ![]() |

Good morning all. Busy day today and my neck is still stiff & sore. I'm icing it now so hopefully that will help. My weight is still in my cushiony window of 140-145 so I can't complain too much. Ten pounds less than a year ago! I'm being pretty vigilant about keeping it there adjusting day to day if needed.

Beautiful day here!
Exercise this morning, along with buying tomato plants and some herbs, a trip to the grocery store, dropping cookies off at the Tri Delta house for finals week, the painters come for touch-ups this afternoon and we have date night with friends to see The Avengers! It's gonna be a fun day! Carolyn - we already bought him black-out curtains! Sandy - hope it feels better!! Where's Buffy? Visiting someone? |

Hi ladies..
My new indulgence is Cafe Breve at my local coffee shop. I was having McD's lattes, but they are full of milk..So, I have switched to a Breve when I want a treat..espresso and steamed half and half. Sorry for your neck, Sandy. I hope the icing helps. Wowza on your weight loss for this year.. MK: Let us know what you think of The Avengers...Yes, black-out curtains are very helpful.. I want to see that Indian Hotel movie..I think it will be great..Might have to go out of town to see it. Where is our Buffy? It is hard to keep track of her.. Hi to Cindy...Wed. I am going to my PA and have her switch my troches to creams..for BioI.

In case it doesn't make the national news, I wanted to let you all know that a miracle happened today at my house. I made 5 doz cookies and a loaf of whole wheat bread for our church bake sale this weekend and I DID NOT EVEN LICK ONE FINGER, BOWL, BEATER OR SPOON!!!! OR EAT ANY OF IT!!!!! I think that might be a first, lol.
Buffy is on a 10 day trek with some girl friends. I'm sure she's having a wonderful time. I think she flew to where they were and then they were all driving on to their destinations from there. Sounds like fun to me!! I went to lunch today with DGD22 and DGGS1. She went and picked him up at daycare so she could enjoy him for the day. We had a great time even though he was ready for a nap by the time we left IHOP. He's really a good baby. I hope their new one is as good.

Carolyn, I think you will like all your meds in 1 cream. Don't forget it is at night before bed. You will feel yucky if you take it during the day.

Hi ladies..
I think bunnies eat everything. Made 2 casseroles for the funeral dinner..We aren't going..Dh led the prayer service on Wed. night and got to talk with her parents.. So sad..Not much going on today..Want to put the suitcases away and finish unpacking them..LOL..I hate that part. Exercised this morning..got coffee/got a new landline phone..Now to take the dishes out of the dishwasher.. Dishwasher peeps: My glasses were rather cloudy..So, I bought some LeminShine in the dishwasher section at Wallies..It comes in a cylinder and is granular and you mix it with the detergent..Wowza..the cloudiness disappeared and now my glasses are very shiny.. |

When I bought a new dishwasher a year or so ago I had that cloudy problem with my dishes. A friend told me about Lemishine and it's GREAT! It has something to do with all the new dishwasher detergent being reformulated for EPA standards. I feel like I should buy cases of this stuff just in case they ever have to quit making it or reformulate it so it doesn't work any more.
We had a wonderful lazy day around here. We did take a long walk. Then we ran a couple of errands and then went out to the park and sat and read and watched people this afternoon. It was perfect!! We need to do that more often. |

Some docs will try to tell you don't need the progesterone if you've had a hysterectomy. My doc listened to me though, and I have prog in my cream. It really does help you sleep! Uterus or not!! Lol.

Carolyn.....I just wanted to say thank you for the information you shared with me..I have lost 1 1/2 pounds and my sugars are better than I could have dreamed of!!!! I really appreciate your help. I think I have figured about the right fat/protein/carb ratio for me..It's working and I keep eating pretty much the same things for right now...I have tried and tweaked this woe for so long that I am afraid to change what's working right now...Anyway thank you so much

My mom's in the hospital - pneumonia.
She went in yesterday afternoon and was doing better after only an hour of antibiotics. They put her in ICU last night and hopefully will be a lot better this morning! |

I think there's a lot of respiratory illness making the rounds. I hate to hear it's hitting the elderly hard too. I pray she gets better quickly and can return to her normal living routine. So you can too, of course.
I actually lost weight over the weekend!!!! I'm going to try to be really good all week in anticipation of the long weekend coming up. |

I found the Lemishine at Kroger! There's also the extra strength. Amazing that I didn't even see it before! |

I’m going to have to look for this LemiShine! My BF and I were just talking last week about how we wind up hand washing half our glasses out of the dishwasher because they don’t look clean. Thanks for the tip ladies!
MK: I hope your mom starts feeling better soon, it’s a really good sign that the antibiotics are helping her so quickly. Sandy: Good job on the weekend weight loss! ![]() Carolyn: I hope being in ketosis helps you! This has not been one of my better weeks. My BF’s grandfather passed away last week so we had to go up to his family’s for the weekend and attend the funeral. It was fine, his grandfather was 94 so he lived a good long life and this wasn’t unexpected. One of my uncles was just admitted into hospice care because his current fight with cancer isn’t going very well and he’s not only fighting the cancer at the moment but also pneumonia, shingles and a blood infection. He’s a fighter and he beat cancer once before years ago but the outlook isn’t so good this time around. Family events do not usually make for great food choices and I did fine on the low carb part but I was definitely exposed to wheat again because the hives came back. It’s not really that unexpected this time, I’m sure I was exposed by something at the wake after the funeral. I was just too stressed and hungry to not eat when I knew we wouldn’t have dinner for another 6 hours and fasting for 14 hours on a hot stressed day just wasn’t going to work. Oh well just the way things go sometimes.

Sorry about your challenges Jess. Family and life situations are sometimes hard to maneuver but it sounds like you did the best you could do and that's all anybody can do. Just hang in there.
I bet there are millions of peeps out there who thing they need a new dishwasher!! This should be advertised way more, IMHO. |
