Hmmm, I just get in here this morning and you girls are already drinking, tsk tsk!

Those sound good though, like all the ideas.

Jess, I haven't been drinking much at all these days but think it was pneumonia and being on antibiotics, now back on them for a UTI. But, taking the probiotics definitely helped my system stay on course through all the antibiotics.

I did have a couple of drinks last week, our local hangout squeezes fresh pink grapefruit for drinks so I always have that there with a shot of vodka in it.

Errands today and looks like rain, so will be messy out.

198.6 this morning, I was beginning to wonder when I was going to visit Onderland again, had kept seeing 200 each time I weighed.

Sandy, as I said on FB, love your hair. Really opens up and lifts your eyes! Instant face lift, via hair, not surgery, LOL.

Sandy: I didn't know crystal light made a margarita mix. I'll have to look next time I go to the store. Rum and diet soda is my usuall standby when out. Love the new photo, you look so pretty!

Cindy: I did look at the drink mixes at the store a few weeks ago but our local ones don't carry any that are SF. I don't think I have similar stores to most of you in the Midwest areas. I can always look online too

Mary Kay, I'm exhausted just reading your list!!! You are one busy lady. I sure hope you enjoy all of it. I'd be too stressed & overwhelmed to enjoy it all I'm afraid. And I certainly hope your DH is a hands-on type of dad/hubby to help you with all the logistics. I'm sure you have it all figured out and it will all operate like clock-work. I can't wait to hear all about it when it's all over. It should be a lot of fun too.

Sandy - I wish he was helpful like that too

And I'm not sure I'll enjoy ANY of it at this point!

The painters said they'd be here at 7:00am - it's 8:45 and they're still not here!

MK you might want to consider reporting that painting company to the BBB, that's not acceptable business practices when they consistently don't deliver on their promises.

Morning!
I can't handle that busy of a schedule anymore, if and when it happens I am like, truly exhausted, for a week or more afterwards.

My countdown to vacation is in full swing, 2 more days to finish up everything in the office that has to be taken care of, laundry, packing, pedicure and threading and I am sure there are a few other things that will come up. Update my GPS with the latest maps, think that is on my list.

I am taking some extra things along to give to my 2 cousins, sure hope I can get them in my bag and still stay under that darn 50 lbs. Since I will be gone 10 days I will need lots of clothes to take for me, let along their gifts.

Hi!

Jess - i think I finally scared them.
They said they were finished as soon as I got home from the gym today.

Of course I've already found a couple of places that they've missed . . . .
I'm supposed to get a gallon of each color of paint. I may just fix the spots myself!

Sandy,
Yes, I have been trying to decide if I may do a little laundry while gone, since there are 3 of us, we could at least do a load of undies and lights and I think I read the hotel had laundry facilities.

I remember what you said about sending things to the laundry in Mexico and how it was so inexpensive, I agree that I would send more and more things if the price was right. Love that things come back so crisp and pressed.

If the hotel has laundry facilities I'd def do laundry! That's a lot of days to be gone to take that many clothes. It's really amazing how much less you have to pack when you know you can wash and wear your stuff again.

I made some BBQ chicken last night with BBQ flavored pork rinds. Wow, it was sooooo goood!!!! DH said it's def a keeper.

Had a great visit with my friend!!
DD25 will be home about midnight tonight, so I've changed her sheets and just have to clean her bathroom and I'm going to bed.

Yay!

One day at a time!

I think I was exposed to wheat sometime over the weekend. I got some hives and a little acne and I feel like I'm holding onto some water. I know this is to be expected when eliminating wheat from your diet but it's frustrating because I'm being soooo careful about everything I put in my mouth. I also don't know when the exposure happened. My tomato allergy takes 2-3 days to present hives after coming into contact with tomatoes and the hives always develop while I'm sleeping. But I don't know yet if my wheat allergy works the same way. It could be happening the same day or the next or it could be several days until I show the hives. This is always the annoying part about figuring out food allergies.

Yay! Carolyn!!

DD25 arrived about midnight last night.
Today we exercised, shopped, had lunch, shopped, took DD28 out for dinner to celebrate her master's graduation and then walked a couple of miles.

It's been great to have her home!!

Hi..

We are heading back to Galveston..The ship moves at 22 miles an hour, so it takes a while..Today Dr. Davis (Wheat Bellly man) is speaking..then there will be lots of time for
questions and answers from the other experts.

Fred Hann (Slow Burn) guy had everyone's interest when he spoke. He definitely believes in slow resistance with as much weight as you can do, plus doing this once a week..and only
4 or so reps until you can't even lift the free weights or machine weighs.

The food is good..I guess the specialty restaurants are excellent, but the regular food works for us..

Not everyone is slim and trim..Many have lost/gained/lost, etc..

I do think that you have to be in ketosis to lose..according to the doctors here..That is, if you are on a high fat diet. If you aren't in ketosis, then you are burning sugar and unless you aren't eating much then you won't lose..But, we will see what wisdom they give us today...

Yup..Dr. Davis talked this morning to rounds of applause..Wheat is the worst thing you can eat..One piece of whole wheat bread can skyrocket your blood sugar faster than ice cream.
So, he said...First give up wheat, then do low carb. He said that many plans do incorporate
wheat in their lowcarb plans/recipes..Not good at all..Wheat can cause so many diseases that it should be eliminated period..Will see if anyone has any interesting questions this afternoon.

Yup, love your hair....

MK: Wowza on your dd graduated with her Master's Degree..How proud you must be..

Dh and I got a bunless cheezeburger for lunch...One very fat LCer in front of us got 3 bunless cheezeburgers and a hotdog..So........I think people are deceived by portion control and don't think it exist or is needed...

I hope all our mothers out there had a great day yesterday!

Carolyn: The talks sound really interesting, I just finished the Wheat Belly book and that was an eye opener. Wheat is a really hard thing to eliminate though. I'm at 6 weeks of it and it's a struggle, but I agree that it's worth it.
