Just marking my spot. I'll post my April 1 weight tomorrow.
So glad the Jayhawks won, but it sure wasn't a pretty win. Their games wear me out!! |

Morning!
Weigh in: Mar 145.8 Arp 144.8 So down a pound but still up 2 from Feb 1. I'm still working on it day by day and don't feel too shabby about this month considering all the celebrating I've done in the last week. |

![]() ![]() The hair was a regular appt (and I finally love it~ it's taken me a while to be happy with my hair) and she did a great job on the color and highlights too! The makeup was a trip to Sephora with a friend and I've been needing to try something new! Quote:

Hi gang..
Good for you, Sandy.. MK: Oh dear..your poor little doggie..Did he just have a virus??? Hope he is better. Pudgy is a state of mind, MKay..and you aren't pudgy. Sunday is always funky for eating..I had a taco salad, no shell, so I was feeling pretty good, even after eating 10 chips. But, won't eat much dinner tonight. Brett is doing well on his plan..He has lost about 10 pounds eating LC.. Gorgeous day out... |

Yes I saw that piece. I want to watch the youtube video now called Sugar: The Bitter Truth. It's 90 minutes long though so I have to find the time. Finally maybe mainstream medical and nutritionists will start to see the importance of this!!!
My allergies have finally decided to kick in. I was outside a lot this weekend! I have a massage today so I think I'll take a benadryl so I can lay face down without being miserable. |

MK: I have those kind of days too, I hate it when the scale agrees with you though.
Congrats to our lovely ladies who dropped this month! ![]() Welcome 35ticker! It’s nice to have a fellow PA resident, I’m on the other side of the state in Lancaster. And I'm still a newbie here too ![]() Carolyn: I didn’t know 60 minutes was doing a special on sugar, do they post the episodes on Hulu? I’d love to watch it. We cut the cord on cable over 3 years ago now so I’m very often behind on what’s happening on tv, lol. Got back on the scale after a two week break and I’m down 2 for the month. Which is good but I feel like something isn’t right. The last time I did low carb (about 10 years ago) the weight came off fast at the beginning, and I didn’t slow down until I hit the 190’s. And that was fine, it made sense to me. But I’m in the mid 300’s right now and this time around I’m more careful with my carbs and calories and I exercise a ton, but I’m just creeping down the scale. I feel like something is holding me back but I haven’t figured out what it is yet. Oh well down is down I guess, and anything down is better than anything up. |

Morning!
35ticker!Sandy - that's the worst part of the massage - everything rushes to my nose!! Carolyn - OK - I weighed in - same as last month - 124.4. I really need to get serious about this! Instead of a walk last night, I had a glass of wine! ![]() |

Hi Jess!!
Congrats on the 2 lbs. Baby steps are really annoying at the beginning! What did they say about sugar - besides we can't have too much of it? |

I have a question for anyone, everyone, this is my second time doing Atkins, I've been struggling to get any weight off, I've been working on this for almost 3 months, I want to try the "fat fast" to see if I can get my weight loss started, do I have to eat a lot of fat to get it to work? I like avocado my book says have chicken salad with regular mayo in half an avocado, I'd rather just have the half of avocado, make sense? Thanks

Found my way to this month's thread, easy enough. I kind of missed yesterday, was very tired and slept a lot. Guess that is good for me right now but I am so tired of being so sick. Up today, trying to act like I feel normal but I don't, but I am not any worse, I think I am just worn out from coughing, coughing, coughing.
to our newcomers. Jess, it is frustrating to lose slowly, I have always had that problem too and the only reason I lose now is that I am on diabetic meds and that and the diabetes has lowered my appetite so much. I assume you have been checked for that, thyroid, all those things that make us gain weight? My good news is that my weight yesterday AM was 200.2, so hopefully this is the month I will reach Onderland, I hope it is this week. With the pneumonia I have hardly no appetite so have really been watching to make sure what I eat has protein, so basically cottage cheese with a little fruit, hot cocoa, I did pick up some catfish the day I was out so have had that the past 2 nights. If I ever get well, I am afraid I might find a couple of these lbs I have lost when I get back to eating more normally. Glad to read all your news and goings ons.

Oh, hope I taped 60 minutes, will have to check next time I watch some tv, which, the way I feel, won't be too long.

Hi ladies..
MKay..The same is good.. Jess: I hate to mention that you are 10 years older this time, but it does make a big difference....Some of us are older than you and have to keep on the straight and narrow for weight loss to happen..Calories count..they do..Best to keep track. Hot: Welcome..Yes, you can do the Fat Fast..There are many threads telling what to eat, etc..Basically it is 90 percent fat and 10 percent protein. And, it is only 1000-1200 calories..5 or 6 meals spaced out a day with only 200 calories at a time. Give it a go.. Buffy: OOOOOO...How exciting..After you feel better you might gain a pound, but maybe this is kickstarting your journey to Onederland..(We will celebrate that day when you "claim" it for sure)...Glad you are better....really. You can find the Toxic Sugar online at the CBS site..Yes, Sandy..Sometime I want to watch that whole discussion on you tube. Dr. Lustig is not a low carb advocate, but he believes in "safe carbs"..Jimmy Moore did a podcast with him so will have to figure out what a safe carb is..since all carbs are metabolized the same as sugar..Hmmmm... MK: Sugar causes heart disease, helps cancers grow, causes diabetes, etc..It's bad stuff..

I wasn't too hungry tonight and wanted to have sweets so instead I had an Atkins chocolate shake and an Atkins choc. nut roll. OH MY WORD! I was in heaven. I hope I didn't goof up. I figured it was better than eating something bad and I am full. Is this okay??????

I'm thinking about walking....does that count? Lol. It looks like it could start pouring here any minute so I don't know if I'm going to risk it this a.m.
