Yum, I love Pierponts! I asked my DD about her looking for reservations again and she said one reason was because we're a large party. I forgot that part, lol.
I watched the whole show on Sugar: The Bitter Truth on youtube. Wow!! What an eye opener!! I just wish mainstream America would get educated on this stuff so we can have the change we need to turn this around. |

Morning!
Thanks for all the kudos my dear friends. Woke up and found I was still in Onderland, even after going out to eat last night with some family that is in town. But, I didn't overeat at all, have been eating so light that I just couldn't eat much. Was 199 this AM. All of you be safe as you travel to KC this weekend and have a wonderful time. If you all ever get together you must, must post a picture! Dr. called in a different antibiotic so hopefully it will get me on through this and completely well. Taking double of my probiotics during all this and so far no tummy upsets for yeast infection from the antibiotics which is what usually happens. I still need to find that sugar episode on you tube. DD#2 who has little Bobby and Ava got to her pre-pregnancy weight and now is 5 lbs below it. She has worked hard at it but highly recommends Bethany Frankel book about not dieting but eating less to achieve your weight loss goals. Can't remember the exact name but it is on Amazon. She has it on tape and just listens to it over and over to reinforce what she talks about. Well, off to get my few things per day done. Have to really pace my self but so glad to be up and about and getting a little done.

Wowowowow...Onederland for sure, Buffy. So great....
Does your doctor know that you are taking the probiotics with your anti-biotics? My dr. always says take the probiotics at night before bed away from the antis..Maybe Cindy knows.. Yeah for DD#2... Safe travels for MK..Have fun with the kids.. Dh is landing at the KC airport tonight and driving home..He will be one tired puppy dog. |

Rah, rah, rah for our gal, Buffy!!! I'm glad you got more antibiotics. I didn't know that about probiotics Carolyn. Thanks!
Yes I bet your poor DH is really going to be pooped. And then aren't you turning around and driving right back up here???? I made non-battered chili rellenos for dinner. We LOVE those things!!! And they're really very easy. Now we're getting ready to go to church for Good Friday services. |

No, hadn't mentioned the probiotics to Dr., hmmm, I take them usually during the afternoon. Meds am and pm. Hope it is ok.
Either it is the different antibiotic or just time, but I finally had some energy today, felt good to get some stuff done. That sounds yummy Sandy. Poor DH Carolyn, he will be pooped. That's the bad thing abour not living near an airport. |

Here is what I read..You are probably doing it right, Buffy..
Stay on a Schedule Take a dose of probiotics twice a day, preferably at least a half hour, or more, before eating. Also, take doses a couple of hours apart from taking antibiotics doses. Do not skip a dose, as that will delay the helpful bacteria's colonization in your digestive tract. Continue taking probiotics for at least a couple of weeks after you have finished your course of antibiotics. If you have stopped taking the probiotics and you begin having any gastrointestinal symptoms, resume taking them. Yup, we are driving back up on Sunday morning, so dh has a day off..Ds has a flight out of KC on Monday, so he will just stay up there.. KCity airport is about 3.5 hours away from us..Tulsa is only 90 minutes away and we like that much better..

Thanks Carolyn, except I have been taking them once a day, need to try to mix that up a little. Hard to get all my meds in at the right time. Thyroid has to be taken first thing AM, without eating for at least 15 minutes. Victoza once a day, then several other prescribed meds AM and PM. Probiotics, fish oil, yada yada yada.
Everyone enjoy their families this weekend. I am almost ready for mine to come. Cleaning lady coming today to help me finish up, I just could not do it all on my own right now. Tulsa at 90 minutes is not so bad Carolyn. Still in Onderland, Yay! 198.8 this AM. |

Happy Easter to all of you dear friends! BE safe while you travel.
Hoping it is as beautiful as it has been the past few days since we are planning on grilling out and hiding eggs outside, but alas, it is calling for a 50% chance of thunderstorms and showers. Please wait until tomorrow, or Tuesday, Tuesday would be even better. 198 this AM, so fun to post these 1 weights, ![]() |

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter! I went out to my parents house with all the family. I was very good, I actually only ate some ham. Everything else was carby sugery concoctions that my mom loves to make. I did have a cheat meal on Thursday when we had friends stay overnight with us and we had for breakfast one of my favorite foods, sticky buns. Homemade ones from this amish stand that are just so sinfully good. I enjoyed it very much but I didn't feel all that great later in the day, just tired and a little grumpy. I don't cheat often, this is my first cheat since Christmas so I don't feel bad about it.

We had a lovely Easter and brunch was fantastic. I did have a very small dessert but all the rest were good choices. I do have to say, that small dessert bloated me up almost instantly! We took a long walk in the afternoon so that helped but I really didn't feel like eating the whole rest of the day!

Hi everyone..
We had a great Easter at Pierpoint at Union Station..It was very lovely..Beth had never been there before..Surprise, surprise.. Brett is on his way to Canada.. I need to go to be earlier..No caffeine today for me..just decaf, so hopefully I can get back on my normal sleeping pattern..Sleep helps weight loss... Buffy....Yeah..you are solidly in Onederland.. Yea, I ate 1/2 of the dessert included in the meal..It was good..but my weight was the same this morning..Hopefully, tomorrow it will stay the same too and not sneak up on me.It was the flourless chocolate cake, so I was bloated..Maybe it is all about wheat..??? |

Where was the wheat if the cake was flourless?? I was hoping our brunch would have that but they didn't. I need to make one of those. Without sugar too. Yum!

I'm afraid portion control might be a big problem for me if I had a whole one of those sitting around. I probably should wait for an event so it can be shared.

![]() Had a great Easter! Lovely shopping at DSW and Sephora and Marshalls and . . . all those stores at Zona Rosa! A pretty good dinner and home late last night! DH was off to St Louis today so I took DS19 back to the MegaBus stop and he's already back in Chicago. Got the puppy back from the kennel this morning too, so life is almost back to normal! |

Yup, back to normal...
On the train trip to Chicago..Shawn said it was $220 for both of them roundtrip. And, they stayed at the Hyatt Downtown, so no car, no expensive parking either.. |

Morning!
Whew, back to normal except a little more cleaning up to do. Whirlwind with 3 under 5 years, but what fun we had. Rained so we didn't get to be outdoors much but the kids love all the Fisher Price toys that we have saved since their parent's were little kids and they played and played and played. Grant (12) put on a rap and break dance routine, Bobby (3) did a circus act, Ava (2) sang a Justin Bieber song and danced round and round in circles and Oliver (1) screamed with delight at watching his cousins play, it was really a fun evening. Weight right at the top of Onderland this morning from all the Easter goodies so will have to rein it back in to stay on this side of that nasty curtain ![]() Hope you all enjoyed your trips, familes, celebrations as well. Going over to FB, see MK posted some pictures that I want to go look at. Tired but feeling much, much better. |

Sounds like you have been brushing and flossing!
Fingers crossed for Rachel. What's in the German salad? Salads sound so good this time of year. |
