Hi ladies..
I walked 2 miles on the treadmill at the gym..I also have a One Mile PowerWalk by Leslie Sansone for "indoor use."..I use it once in a while..LOL Oriana: That was your dinner? Probably not terrible..It depends what Mr. Scale says in the a.m...and your got your protein in, too. Making LC lasagne for a ladies' dinner tonight..I'm putting in deli chicken breast in it instead of noodles..I am not saying anything and wonder if they will notice..LOL.. |

Been glued to tv all afternoon, very scary and so many storms but we were spared. Some warnings still active so hope for the best. Problem here is lack of safe areas.
Got out to grocery store today, about did me in. But, slept wiouthout coughing last night. |

Yeah Buffy! I know I hate spring storms. But I would still like to SEE a tornado, just not one close to the house.

I hate tornadoes!!! I've seen 2 in my life, both were white when they started. One was devastating to the area, the other was in the open and didn't destroy anything. I never want to see another one, EVER!! I'm going to see my sister in Okla in June and I'm already worried about the weather while we're there. They have no basements or shelters and I'm scared every time I go there during bad weather season. One of my early memories is of a tornado and it created very deep set fears in me for life.
I was down a bit this a.m. Finally back to Feb 1 weight, actually a little below that. 142.2 so happy about that! Now I need to hold on to it!!

Glad to hear you are starting to feel better and are safe from the storms Buffy!
Great job on all the exercise everyone!! ![]() Carolyn: I really like your idea for the LC lasagna, you’ll have to let us know how it turns out! I do agree with you that age can make a difference but I’m only 28. I know that a 20’s metabolism is different than a teen’s but I’m really not that old yet. I use ****** to keep track of everything like calories and carbs and exercise. It tells me for my height, weight and activity level I would need to eat slightly over 4,000 calories a day to maintain my weight. 4,000!! I know I’m a big girl but I’m not really sure how much I believe that number, it’s just so high. I only eat about 1,800 most days so I should be running quite the calorie deficit. |

Morning!
Another very good nights sleep without coughing, I think I have turned the corner on this nasty stuff. DD#2 had damage to their rental house in one of the Dallas suburbs, broke out a skylight and they will need a new roof. Other than that, we are all ok, but it was quite an afternoon. I do have a tornado story. When I was married to my first DH, at our farm in Iowa, all our buildings were destroyed except the 100 year old house was left standing, with my 4 kids in the basement. Oldest 2 were babysitting the younger 2, early spring night and a storm hit. What was truly amazing is that it took buildings on all 4 sides of that old house but left it standing, it had picked it up, twisted it and broke rafters, but left it standing with my kids safe in the basement. Very proud of the older 2 for paying attention to the radio and getting the little ones downstairs. God was truly looking after them. The 2 older girls saw that tornado, said it didn't have a funnel, was just a wide, dark cloud that went clear to the ground, as it got closer and they saw debris blowing out of it, they ran down into the basement and when they came back up, everything was blown to bits. What a scary time it was.

Hi gals..
Oh, Buffy..So glad the damage to your dd's rental was minimal..Now that story was one scarey one..God did protect your little ones, didn't he? Tornadoes are horrible..Never saw one in person, but they have been around our area.. ![]() Jess: I think 1,800 is a good amount of calories for you to lose at..Is it working pretty well? 4,000 is a crazy number, I think...Unless you are man with giant muscles..LOL. Well, today, my friend Cheryl and I visited the elderly and nursing home peeps from church..Of course, we work in a lunch, too.. Easter plans??? We are heading for KCity for the day only..Beth is supposed to be finding a nice place for lunch..

Good luck finding any open reservations in KC unless she did it a while back. My DD spent the whole morning hunting down a place for us yesterday. We're going back to Trezo Mare!! It sounds like they have a fabulous brunch and I already know their food is wonderful.
Buffy, that is a very scary story!! Thank the good Lord they were all fine. Did it make any of them terrified of storms? That's a very hard fear to live with, I know. Rainy and cold here today. Finally feels like spring instead of summer. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Staring around in wonder and amazement, I had forgotten what Onderland looked like, it is beautiful here ![]() I am just peeking in, hope I can stay and live here with you other Onderland peeps ![]() Scale was exactly 200 the past 3 mornings and today it was 199.6! So, I know this might be just a visit and I have to go back home a day or two but I have seen and I am determined to either stay or get here to stay as soon as I can. Now, I don't recommend the road I got here on, being sick isn't the way to travel but I will take it and claim it anyway, I just know that my appetite is coming back as I get to feeling better and I will really have to work at it to keep it at bay. Talked to the nurse yesterday, told her that I had turned the corner but I felt I could relapse anytime as I was so weak so the Dr. called in another antibiotic or more of the same, not sure which. DH is picking it up right now. Cough is pretty much gone which is such a relief, so now just to build back my strength. Sounds like almost everyone will be in KC for Easter. I am having the kids here, got the stuff for the little ones baskets and eggs to hide and then we are just having burgers and dogs and the extras, easy and the girls can bring stuff and help me with it. DS and DDIL and Ollie are coming up from Austin so everyone will be here but DD#1 in NE who we will certainly miss. But, will see her in June or July so will see her and her new home soon. Better get busy, trying to do just a little each day to get ready for the weekend. |

I thought it was up north some where MK. I'll be right up by there Sunday for brunch! We're eating at Trezo Mare at Briarcliff which is just a hop, skip and a jump away. Of course, I'll be with my whole family too. I doubt they'd be very understanding about "just a quick coffee with a friend" while they waited. Some day!!!
