Fearless Fraulein reporting for duty!!
Weigh in- Jan 1-148.8 Feb 1-142.8 Loss of 6 pounds!!!!!!! Woohooooooo!!!! At least I'll have a small cushion to start vacation with. Carolyn, the play was Pump Boys & the Dinettes. Greg Harrison was the star. It was a pretty cute musical. I go back to my ortho today for my final check on my knee. It's doing great so I'm not worried about that. I did finally find some supportive walking sandals. I ended up with two pairs! So hopefully they'll work out great for me with all the walking.

A pair of Teva Tirras in black and a pair of Dr. Scholl's in navy and cream. Just the name Dr. Scholl's makes me feel OLD!! But they're very comfy!!

Marking my spot, I didn't weigh either. At the Dr.s office on Monday I was down a couple of lbs from the last time I went. He wasn't impressed: "hmmm, your weight is down a couple of lbs, you fluctuate back and forth". But, he doesn't preach to me either which is good b/c at my age, preaching doesn't even nudge me.
Great job Sandy on your loss and MK, quit picking up after others, get over that habit and you wouldn't have found those 6 lbs she dropped ![]() Carolyn, hope DH loses his 15 lbs and can fit into his suit, win/win/win. That said, have to order DH some new underwear, he has gone up a size. Comfy shoes/sandals are just a must, who can enjoy themselves if their feet hurt and you don't want to risk injuring your knee again. I have some Ecco walking sandals that are comfortable that aren't pretty but I can take them on vacation and spend a whole day of comfort in them.

Harrison is cute.. Cindy: I'm sure you are the same or lower... MK: You have had a lot of stress..don't sweat it.. We are probably very glad that Sandy got her knee fixed before her vacation..Perfect timing and good sandals make a huge difference, I think. Grumble...My ears are still full of liquid..I tried Mucinex and Sudafed..Any suggestions?????

Sandy, those are both good looking, very sporty and all ages wear those, mine are really old lady looking, I will post a pic when I have a moment. Off now to hawk some toffee and get a few errands ran.
MK, you are just too good at picking up, be more selective ![]() Carolyn, I couldn't get rid of the ear pressure without my Doc and meds. Seems EVERYBODY has that, here, my cousin in Iowa, my DGD who has tubes even has an ear infection right now. Mild winter to blame me thinks. Picked up DGS after school yesterday and he is sick with it too, he blames his on red cedar, and it is the cause of a lot of it around here. Rock & Roll, I have so much to do before I go to Phoenix next Tuesday to see my sisters, love all I get to do but sometimes want the world to stop for a day or 2 so I can just be lazy. ![]() |

Sorry those pics are so big. I should've edited them when I posted them but I was leaving and didn't have time and now I can't.
I really dread the airplane ride with all the sick people germs floating around. We've both had the "cold" thing going around but there may be a new "something" on the plane. I'd wear a mask but can't talk DH into it and I don't want to be the only one, lol. I'll pop Vit C and D heavy the next couple days. |

Hi everyone!
Jan 1: 142 (Lost 1 lb. to 141 for most of Jan until the 29th when I went up 2 lbs. to 143 and have been holding there ever since .)Feb 1: 143 Still here...still on plan...still not having any hunger (yayyyy!!!), just SUPER busy as of late. Fairly warm here and we've had a great melt-off. Glad for that as I really don't like having to get out the 12 Ft. stepladder, climb to the top and chisel the ice dams out of the gutters (which is what I do e-v-e-r-y winter)...ughh! Making sausage with curried greens for dinner...easy and quick - good when I'm so busy. Later gators...

Morning!
I agree, love the big pictures. This is our little spot, we can post big ones. Cindy, our nurse, does airborne really help? Have heard it does and heard it doesn't. I have some that I might take before I fly next week. Sandy, when I go to our casino I see some people there wearing the mask, I never think about it, so go ahead if it makes you feel better. Should be able to stay home all day today and hopefully get lots done. Slept late as I took some of my "golden" cough syrup last night. I just can't quite shake the last of this thing. Tomorrow I am getting a light peel on my face, have never had one before and my Obagi lady gave me a deal I couldn't turn down. Basically, you pay for it but then can use all that you pay towards products, so I said sure. Kind of excited to see what it does. Did anyone watch "my 600 lb life" last night? Very interesting to see the transformation of that lady as she went through all the changes, both for her and her husband. A friend and I are going to throw a Mad Men party for a mutual friend the end of February. Our friend turns 50 that day and Mad Men is a favorite series of hers. I have to watch it on netflix, I was aware of the show but hadn't watched it. Set in the very early 60's. My friends daughter, who actually is creative, is helping with it, thank heavens. I am not very good at party planning. Too bad I don't still have that pretty light blue shirtwaist dress I had in 1964, it would have been perfect, oh, but wait, since I only weighed about 135 at the time, I don't quite think it would still fit???? ![]() ![]() |

I love Mad Men!!! I hope you can get caught up with it by the party.
My back is out! So I went to the chiro this a.m. and scheduled a massage for this p.m. Hoping it is better quickly. I think I did it when I brought the suitcases up yesterday and started packing. Yes, Nurse Cindy, what is your take on flying, airborne, masks, etc. |

Hi ladies..
No weight loss for me..Still self-medicating for my ears..Dr. wasn't in today.. So, I'm taking the expensive Mucinex-D (heavy duty) and a Claritin tab (10). I'm hoping the dam will break soon in my ears and they will flow like a river. Buffy: What meds did your doctor prescribe? Just curious in case I have to go to the walk-in clinic tonight. My dd had a Mad Men party a year or so ago..Men wore suits, women wore fancy dresses from the sixties with funky hairstyles..Food was "60's" too and they had lots of fun. I was going to watch the 600 pound life last night..Didn't do it..Glad it was good..Next week, I can catch it. Took our Chinese friend (works for the company in China) out to dinner..His 8th grade son has to take a test to get into a good high school..It's a big, big, deal in China to get into the right school. |

He gave me amoxocillian Carolyn, then 2 days later a steroid shot, mainly because I was going to be flying and I had so much pressure on my ears to be flying. I mean the steroid shot, he would probably have just left it at the antibiotic. Cleared up pretty good but I still don't feel great, just kind of hangs on.
Oh Sandy, you need this vacation to just lay on the beach and heal! Interesting Carolyn, they are such a smart race of people and really do push their kids to get good educations, it shows. |

Buffy: I got the steroid shot on Monday..It probably helped a little..
Yes, in China it is extremely competitive..Most of the "smart" kids come to the US to get their college degrees.. |
