Wow Cindy, those pics are so great! It looks like you had a great time. Where to next??

Well, I was SHOCKED at the Drs. I was 10# less than last year!! I must've gone in last year after a bad week, lol. And this year I've been good for the past 2-3 weeks. I guess that makes a big difference! They took blood to check lipids so I'll hear those results in a few days. All else was good for another year, lol. My 50k mile checkup for the year is done.

I loved the Hunger Games books. All of them! And I bet the movie will be great.

I'm not sure about the Dragon Tattoo movie though. I saw all of them in the original subtitled version and I think I might not want to see them again with new actors, lol. But I did like the movies.

I'm reading the Berrybender Series by Larry McMurtry. I just started book 2 and I'm really enjoying them. It's been on my "to read" list for a year now! I'm so far behind!!

I hope to sleep in a little tomorrow. I hope. I'm tired and I know Wed and Thurs will be busy.

Sandy - thanks for the Berrybender idea.
I like books that are done well on audio.

I also didn't think I'd want to see the new Dragon tattoo, but I saw trailers and they may have done a good job! I'll probably have to try the first one!

MK, I'm not listening to the Berrybenders; I'm reading that series of 4 books. Sorry. I don't have any good audio books to rec right now. I went through a period of listening to a lot of them but haven't now in at least a year. I found my mind started wandering too much??

Yes it's pretty good. Like I said I'm on book 2 now and I read book 1 in less than a week. Even with being busy. So it must be good, lol. I think McMurtry is a great author.

He wrote the screenplay for Brokeback Mountain?

What's the first book?

Morning!
Cindy, thanks, thanks, thanks for posting your pictures, will probably never get there to visit and loved seeing the pictures you shared. The people are beautiful, the little girls so precious.

Sandy, good job on your weight loss and great 50K check up, , to have lost over the last year at our ages is a great thing.

I have so many books on my "to read" list thanks to both you gals and my DD's that I always have several to get to. I know what you mean Sandy about mind wandering but I just back up. I like to listen while I drive and don't actually read as much as I used to, not sure why.

Carolyn, you got all your fud? DDIL told asked me over the weekend if I had ever made fudge? I said that is the very first thing I learned to cook, that tells you something, right? Anyway, she made it for the very first time last year and they loved it , well of course they loved it. But, she is so disciplined that it will only enter their house probably once a year, they eat very little sugar. She had made a Martha Stewart marshmallow fudge and said it was very good.

It is about time I start making my toffee, I have to email my friends to see who all wants to order some and when they want it. This is the first year I am making it to sell but so many have asked me to do it that I figured I might as well, it will help with the Christmas expenses. I need to find some nice pecans, they are usually at our Krogers by now, fresh ones and at a good price but I hear they are much higher this year. I usually buy enough now to freeze for the year.

Had a nice rain yesterday and last night. Supposed to be sunny later today.

Hi ladies..

Cindy, those pictures are just so beautiful..and the food looks fabulous, too..
Thanks so much for sharing them with us.. You look as great as ever, too.

Sandy: Wowza..Congratulations on your 10 pound weightloss this year..That is fabulous..

Also, thanks for the Larry M. book ideas..I'm reading a Terri Blackstock mystery...I like her stuff..very light and not too bloody..LOL

Akkk..Had to get more food as dd and Shawn are coming for dinner on Wednesday night..Glad they will be there for dinner..I'm making it simple.

Got my red apples done and refrigerated..They were tiny apples, and I have to save some for the pie tomorrow..I might have to buy a few extra in the morning to have enough. Made that simple, dimple fudge..and its in the fridge...

Buffy: Toffee???? Oh..that sounds wonderful...

We did have a bit of rain yesterday and this morning..people are smiling..

I don't remember for sure, but I think so. The first book in the series is Sin Killer.

Hey guys, don't give me too much praise. I bounce around in that 10# window all the time, as you guys well know. I just happened to be at the bottom of my window this year and apparently was at the top of my window last year. If I tried a lot harder I could maybe make that window smaller, but hey, I guess I like the view, lol. I probably need to turn it into a porthole!!

Of course he did Cindy. You know him, always so nice to everybody. I think he's lost weight since I saw him last too, so I say good for him too!

I'm going to breakfast with DD tomorrow before we tackle our cooking/preparing day. It usually ends up being a fun day with all of us girls catching up. I love it!!

Picked up DS19 - he rode the Megabus and likes it better than Amtrak or the plane! If you haven't seen one, it's a double-decker bus:

DD25 used to ride one from Syracuse to NYC every week when she was in grad school and interned at Dance Magazine.

They're nice inside too - even have wifi!

I'm so excited to have him home!

I finished all our laundry today since he'll need to do his tomorrow.
Vacuumed upstairs and cleaned his bathroom.

In the morning I have a doc appt at 8:00 and will hopefully be out in time for weight lifting at 9:30 and then body flow at 10:30.
Then lunch with my guys!

Ya I knew he owned Medi Weight Loss. Some people I know go there and have also lost a ton of weight. I have no idea even what the plan is like, lol. I told him I LC and he said that's the best way to eat so......

Happy thanksgiving everybody. I'm off for the cooking day and then we'll go back tomorrow for dinner which will be at 1:00 so DGS and his family can go to his DWs family too. Oh the memories of having to make "the rounds" every holiday.

Starting to cook for today/tomorrow..Making Betty's Dutch Apple Pie..and bought a bottom crust (cheater, huh)..But, it is the roll out kind..lOL

Beth and Shawn and Brett will be here for dinner tonight, so will get cracking on that, too..Nice to have the "kids" together..

Hugs all around..

I love this little kitty making a handturkey in my avatar.

Morning!
Love the little kitty too, going to send that on to all my kids!

Thanksgiving is going to just be a movie for me since all the kids have other plans, . It is ok, as they all got married, I had to start sharing holidays with inlaws, my son has to work tomorrow, DD#3 might be here to go to movie with me but also she and her DH might go camping. He is from Canada so to him it doesn't even seem like Thanksgiving yet to him.

Good thing is, I don't have to cook. Bad thing is, I don't have to cook. All your cooking plans and foods you are talking about sound so good.

DH said he didn't want anything special and he doesn't go to movies so he will probably be watching sports on TV.

That bus looks really nice MK.

Finished The Hunger Games last night, can't wait to get to the next one.
