Morning!
Up early for me but I have a busy day ahead. A friend is picking me up to go to a beauty/fashion show, then to a fall sample sale, then on to a baby shower and last of all, girls game night at a friend's house! More than I like to pack into one day these days but that is how it worked out.

I think the next movie I see will be Tower, I have liked Eddie Murphy since SNL.

Yes Sandy, wash our hands, and tis the season!

Carolyn, I experimented with some different types of sweetners but they don't work the same as sugar/cream combo. So, you just make my recipe when you have discussed a cheat with yourself and decided to go for it!

Hearing this morning on the news of the death of Andy Rooney, what a long, interesting career.

Is everyone starting to make Thanksgiving plans? It is just going to be DH, DD, DSIL and myhself this year, so will be shopping for a small turkey. Then told DD that I would help her decorate that weekend, not going to decorate much here as we are going to DD#2 on Christmas day.

SF fudge is a unique adventure..There are some good recipes on the Recipe Board..

Ds is coming for dinner..I got some ribs at the market, made coleslaw and will make scalloped cauliflower with lots of cheese. I also made Jody's Pumpkin Bake for dessert.
(wonderful recipe..easy). OSU plays KSU tonight so we will watch it..Hope the Wildcats
are on their toes tonight..OSU is undefeated..

Didn't weigh this morning..

Have a great Sunday.

Hi..

Up early because of Daylight Savings Time..LOL.Good day to dye my hair..25 more minutes to go. I am trying to go more medium brown than dark brown cuz I read as you age your hair should be a bit lighter..LOL.

Going to Branson next weekend with our good friends from St. Louis. Should be fun.
They are always fun. Sharon has such good "portion" control it is amazing..

Morning!
Hair color also depends on skin color but I think too dark can look harsh on some women as they age, I know my Aunt with very fair skin normally had black hair but as she aged, she kept dying it jet black and it started making her look kind of hard, when she finally let it go natural, it was a beautiful white and it softened her looks completely. I keep waiting for that beautiful white to show up but so far get a mousy brown/gray mixture that isn't attractive at all. I am so tired of the expense of coloring though.

Kind of a gloomy overcast day here, chance of rain today and tomorrow. The rain would be nice so I hope it comes along.

Had a fun weekend, Sat. was full with the fashion show, then on to a sample sale at market, then on to my DD's for the baby shower she was giving for her nanny and then Sat. evening to one of my dinner club friend's house for game night, we had so much fun. We all took salads then played a game with winning prizes kind of like the chinese gift exchange, you got to pick a gift or steal if you won the round, that is always a lot of fun. Everyone but one made it but then one of the college age daughters joined us so we had 9 which was a nice amount.

Sunday DD#3 called and asked if I wanted to go to Corner Bakery with her for lunch, so we went and shared a sandwich and just relaxed and had a great visit. That really was all I did yesterday, still haven't even put things away from Saturday yet.

Tonight is another beauty event, can you tell I like these??? This is the lady I get my Obagi products from and she has about 4 events a year so I try to attend these as she has specials, great food, gives away drawings and I like to support her and help spread the word about her good products.

Not much planned then until the end of the week. WE have tickets to see Willie Nelson Friday night.

Hi gals..

I think I turned into a reddish brownhead..LOL..I'm sure it will fade as I wash it.

Buffy: You are our beauty expert for sure..And, if I was blonde, I would have it done professionally..I think it is too hard to do that yourself.

Oh..is Willie still with us?? Have fun.

We got rain..We needed it badly..There are cows and crops around here, so that is important for the ponds.

Buffy - I totally agree about black hair!

Luckily I'm brown/brunette so blonder highlights in the summer and redder ones in the winter!

Carolyn - raining here too!!

Raining here too. Busy day with my dad. He's back from his 3 week stay at my sister's house so I'm back on Dad-Duty, lol. I took him to get his flu shot!! I sure don't want him sick. Then we went to Costco and spent too much $$.

Overcast day here so far too, rained hard last night amid tornado warnings. Heard one touched down in OK. Crazy weather.

The event last night was a bonanza for me, I won one of the gift baskets worth over $500!! Woot Woot!

Not too much on the schedule for today.

Sandy, you are such a good daughter

Reddish brown is very

Yes, Willie is still around and I have heard he puts on a good show, can't live in TX and not see Willie.

With help of DD#2, I already have 2 Christmas gifts bought and since they are already at her house, I am sure they will be wrapped and under the tree for Mema and Papa, sweet....

Hi..

MK: I am in the SE corner of KS..close to MO and OK. It's hot here in the summer..LOL.

Let's hope we don't get the flu, huh?

Dh left at 4:45 for a 7 oclock flight and will be back tonight. Long day..

I was at 152 for the last few days...But, we are going to Branson this weekend. I should eat like my skinny friend Sharon (who we are meeting). She is really really good at portion control..

Morning.

DD#3 had the flu shot and 2 weeks later had the flu, but she was also working very long hours during those 2 weeks so I think her immunity was way low.

Carolyn, I don't think my oldest sister has ever been on a diet and she has never had a weight problem. She eats anything and everything she wants, is an excellent cook and baker but has always had a small appetite, so she just eats really small portions of things and I don't think I have ever seen her go back for seconds. She never jumped on the sugar free, low fat, fake food train either. My brother, other sister and I were not so lucky, or as smart, not sure which!

Beautiful chilly morning here. Don't have anything planned so think I will just work around the house today, there is plenty to do.

Little Bobby (3) got a goldfish from the carnival last weekend. But, little Ava (1) keeps putting her hand in the fishbowl trying to pick up Clara the goldfish as she wants to hold him in her little hands. Bobby got so frustrated yesterday that he told his mommy he needed to call the police and have them come and arrest Ava and put her in jail for trying to "eat" his pet, and then he said that he would just have to get a new Ava. Oh, they are so entertaining these days!!!

Brrrrr, quite cold here this morning. I'm up early AGAIN!! I always have a horrible time adjusting when the time goes back this way. Oh well, I have plenty to do so I shouldn't complain.

I've been being "very good" on my eating since Halloween. Not perfect, but IF I cheat, it's a very small portion. Which is good for me, as portion control has always been my biggest problem. Anyway, it's paying off with a nice loss so far. So hopefully I can keep this up. I don't want a big gain during the holidays to have to fight in the New Year. So I'm trying to keep it under control before the food attacks begin.

Morning!
Good job Sandy, portion control was what got me in this weight problem years ago, if it tastes good, I always want more, has nothing to do with hunger.

Carolyn, I think the goldfish might be the only kind of pet the kids might get to have, daddy has horrible horrible allergies and pet dander is off the charts for him, he takes shots but still has trouble. Of course the kids love my kitties.

Another beautiful chilly day here, I love this weather. Supposed to warm back up by the first of next week for a couple of days, I don't like the warm/cold, warm/cold we have this time of year, it is hard to know what to wear and we are all wanting to wear our fall winter clothing.

I think we are going today to get DH the new Iphone, he has an old "dumb" phone. He is convinced he wants the Iphone and I am convinced that he will never learn to use it but hard for me to say no to it since I got mine.
