Morning!
Lost a long message I was about ready to post.

Had a great weekend with the kids, lots of fun and my house is an absolute wreck but easily fixed today.

Yesterday I had an appt. at diabetic dr., saw a new PA and loved her, she was so good and spent a lot of time with me, answered and explained all questions and issues. Will get results of blood tests sometime next week. And of course, explained why a more controlled diet would be much better, I don't disagree, I just don't do it. I know I should and will probably wish I had later on.

Today is just put the house back together and do laundry, beautiful day out so hope to get a walk in.

I took the pooch on a long walk this a.m. trying to soak up more of this weather. Then ran a couple of errands. I need to clean, but I'm not. Lol.

I have tons! My cooking mags never hit the trash or go anywhere but I have been good about taking all of my others to work. I still have at least 100. Mostly cooking, fitness, cooking, horse, cooking.......I'm a sucker for cooking mags and books!

I rarely have mags around. Not since the internet. That's where I get my news, there and TV. Too quick to pile up for me and I have a clutter problem enough as it is.

Off to bunco tonight. This time it's in the neighborhood! Good deal.

I started subscribing to a lot of magazines when they got to be $10 or less for a year, then ended up with way too many. I am letting some of them expire.

Used to save anything and everything related to cooking, recipes but have quit doing that unless something really looks good as I don't cook that much anymore.

Off to bed

Carolyn, you deserve to lose at least 10 lbs for all that cleaning!

Overcast here too MK, supposed to rain later and turn cold. See on FB that my niece in Denver is getting a snowstorm!

Carolyn, I like the looks of the Quest bar and just Monday when talking to my diabetic dr. she mentioned how important it is that I get some protein with each meal and breakfast in particular is hard for me, I get sick of eggs and often don't want to fix eggs for just me, so end up with a whole grain cereal which really isn't the best choice for me, I sometimes eat some cottage cheese as well just to get some protein in. She mentioned bars and these sound much better nutritionally than most. Wish they were not just sold online, I would like to try first before I order some. What flavors do you like best?

I think because we were not raised on the internet, we like something solid to read but Sandy is right. Everything is available on the internet. Having said that, though, my Taste of Home just arrived and I love perusing the pictures. I think because I am not creative, I need pictures to get inspired about a recipe. Almost all of my cook books are heavily illustrated. How do I know if I want to make it if I don't know what it looks like!!

Hi gals..

Cindy: I think you are right..We are all used to solid materials..My ds 24 still loves a solid book, too..

I like the peanut butter/peanut butter and jelly/mixed berry/apple pie flavors. You can order one or two at a time on Netrition..Of course, the shipping is still $5.00, so you would have to order some other things to make it worth it..They have great vitamin prices, though.

Morning
Wow, is it a gloomy overcast day here. Looks like a good day to curl up with a book or movies!!

I have several errands to run though, not sure if I am going to get out and do those today or tomorrow, have office work to do as well. DH is going to the grocery store, he does that more and more these days so I make my list and he gets most of it right.

For those of you that have CVS drugstores, check out Sunday's ad and I think Libby's pumpkin is in there for $1. Much better price than I saw at the grocery store the other day.

Springfield visit today - got the oil changed in the car and visited a couple of stores.
I couldn't find anything i liked!

I hate when I want to spend money and can't!

I received ANOTHER non-emergency phone call from mom's place last night at 11:30pm!!!!!!!! The last one was at 5:30am!!!

I called the Director today and she was really appalled that I was being called at those hours for non-emergencies! Hopefully they will stop!

Carolyn - Yum!!

Buffy - Yesterday was gloomy, today is sunny, tomorrow . . . .

Fun day here. Lunch with the girls. We're all caught up now.....for at least a day, lol.

Those cinnamon rolls would drive me CRAZY!!!!!

DH likes to shop too, he just gets too much stuff that's NOT on my list.

Hi ladies..

I am dead..We tried to close the HQ's at 8, but peeps were still coming in and buying..I had to make the "closing announcement"..LOL..Sold lots of stuff today....The locksmith came and unlocked the bathroom door..(it had been locked for several days)..So, we didn't have to use the outside facilities.. The Philly Steak guy was right at our door..the onions smelled great.

Oh, MKay..Glad you called the Director. These nurses sometimes don't get it..Non-emergencies can wait until normal people wake up..

Oh..no CVS, but that is a good deal on pumpkin..

I avoided the cinnamon rolls..The first shift of girls I worked with didn't eat cinnamon rolls or other foods, the second shift was the personal trainer at a gym...LOL..But, I did get a cheeseburger with no bun and slipped in an ice cream cone later on..

Morning!
Yes Carolyn, you did good, I can't pass up a good cinnamon roll.

Sandy, I have a little trouble with control when DH shops too, I keep telling him to go EXACTLY by the list, if he can't find exactly what I have written down, ask or don't get it. He used to always want to get the biggest of everything, I do not need a bunch of 12 bananas!!! So now I don't put bananas, I put (3) bananas, (4) apples, etc. I have also finally convinced him that store brands of OTC meds are often if not always just as good and you save about 30% or more. That one was a toughy, he WANTED the name brands!!! At first, I would buy the store brand of say, benadryl, but then put it in the old name brand bottle. After doing this for a while with no complaints, then I would fess up and get him to see they were the same. Oh, so hard to train DH's

Last night DD#3 said that DGS 11 was in his room crying after the TX Rangers lost their game in the 12th inning, she already felt guilty for letting him stay up for it and he was in there going "why, why". I told her he was just a little man in training!

Errand day, I have my list made out and think I have talked DH into going along, so he can just drop me off and pick me up at those places where I just need to run in and out. Need groceries too, he didn't feel good yesterday so didn't get that done.

Tonight we are going to a Dierks Bentley concert with dinner at Toby Keith's before hand. Should be a fun night.

I think I can count the times on my hand that dh and I went shopping together. The very first time was almost the last. Right after we got back from our honeymoon, we went shopping to stock the kitchen. That is when I found out that he didn't like tuna noodle casserole> So, the other two times we went dh always ended up in the pickle aisle.

Had a nice LC lunch with my teacher friend..She moved to Bartlesville, but travels 45 miles to teach here. She is divorced and didn't want to be near her X..It was a nice lunch..I got some yarn, then went to Aldis, came home and finished cleaning for Rachel.

There is a Magic Show in town..$5 admission, so dh and I will go to that..
