Morning!
Whew, info overload. But, the meeting helped, staying with the same supplement plan we picked last year, and you helped me more than you knew on that Carolyn, after telling me what your MIL had, that is what we ended up going with and it is good. I need to change my part D drug plan though as there is a diabetic drug that I want to switch to that isn't covered under the Part D plan I am on. When you gals get older, if I am not senile by then, I will have all the info at hand for you!

Carolyn, Kohl's is just a great all around store for lots of things, I just went yesterday, returned a pillow and bought a new throw rug, their sales are soooo good. The rug was on sale 50% off, then it was seniors day for another 10-15% off and then the cashier had a 15% coupon that she also used, they are really super about that. Coming friday, I have a coupon for 30% off anything in the store. If you get a Kohl's charge, the deals are really good.

Love, love, love chili, I grew up on it and still love it and could eat leftovers on it until the pot is empty. Love it with cornbread or crackers and cheese on top.

I have a steak laid out for tonight.

Sandy, don't know if you have any of the 2nd hand baby stores near by but we have several great ones and you can pick up really nice stuff for a bargain, in fact I need to go by and look for one of the little booster chairs like you just got, they are so handy to have and the fold up ones are great. Only problem is little Ollie has gotten spoiled, will only eat standing up!!!

Ava will sit down and eat though.

I am home today and must tackle home stuff, it has piled up the past couple of days while I was out gathering info

Any more news on the baby Lisa yet? I saw in the paper that now mother admits she was drunk and hadn't checked on the baby for hours, beginning to sound bad, I hate these cases. What is wrong with these parents????

Thanks, Buffy..Glad you like your plan..Betty would be pleased that she helped someone. Dh signed up for Medicare, even though he is still working and has BC/BS..I love Kohl's, too.

Sandy: That is a great idea about freezing the chili so you fool dh..I think they don't like having the same thing 3 days in a row..

MK: You are right..My dh would probably kill me with his cooking..BAD...

No real news on the Baby Lisa tragedy..Hopefully, they will find out something shortly as her little face is all over the news..

Just planned a trip to AZ in Feb. to see my sis and to see the gals who I went on the cruise with back in January. Southwest Airlines had a great 72 hour sale. Got my trip for $158 RT, which is awesome.

DS, DDIL and little Ollie are coming up this weekend and DD#3 and DGS are going to be spending the nights here this weekend as her DH is having friends in town for a Cowboy game, so, DD#2 and the kids are coming out Sunday and we are going to have a cookout. Need to pick up groceries in the next couple of days for that.

Doesn't sound good at all for that baby. So sad.

LOL..I never thought of dressing up a horse unless they are in parades..(like around here).

Off to exercise..then we have the local theater peeps doing Willy Wonka tonight. This is of the events I sold tickets for. One lady called and asked if it was appropriate for children. Hmmm..Okay.

I am fighting 153...grumble..

I'm making a cheeseburger salad tonight. Salad with cooked hamburger, tomatoes, cheese in it..I've made it before and the hamburger is best at room temp.

My new phone came yesterday and I am in setup learning curve, one glitch of course, isn't there always. Will have to run by Att store later today.

Love the horse costumes.

I am tkaing Grant to Moneyball this afternoon, pg 13 but he will be 12 in Dec. and b/c of his love for baseball and statistics, I think he will love it.

That's a very long day Carolyn, to be selling tickets.

What happened to that day I didn't have much to do??? It caught up on me....

Up at the crack of dawn this a.m. DH had his carpal tunnel surgery this a.m. He did fine but it just changes the routine of a regular day. Plus I played with my new phone all day too. Now I'm heading to bed hopefully to sleep well and late tomorrow morning. I really do hope.
Tomorrow night the baby is spending the night so no late morning sleep on Sunday for sure. But we're looking forward to it a lot.

Had fun in Lawrence..KSU won, their band got to play, too..A gal from our church is on flags, but we forgot which area she was in and there are lots of blonde heads there..
Got Brett some dress pants cheap at Penney's..and had Greek food..

Church this morning, etc..Housecleaning is starting this week as Rachel (ds' gf) will be coming in on Friday..

I think we are getting colder weather this week...Anyone else??

Yes, it was a sad day for the Jayhawks yesterday, but thank goodness basketball is right around the corner.

Did you make it to Kohl's?

We survived the overnight with the baby and the kids came pretty early to pick him up so we went for a long walk and then out to eat. Hopefully the walk evened out the lunch. Haha!

Sandy: KU never is famous for its football..except for a couple of years there..Greek Restaurant: The Mad Greek downtown on Mass..They have lunch specials, too...They also have Italian food.

No Kohls..We found $70 pants on sale for $30.00..and machine washable. LOL..Ds has gained some weight..So we ended up with 2 sizes bigger than he thought he was. I told him his dad's rule is that the pockets have to lay flat..LOL We started at Penney's and that was it..Ds hates clothes shopping.

Glad you had fun in Indy...

Dh left for Minneapolis today..Last night in the car he said, "I guess I have to pack"..Shock.."Oh, are you going somewhere?" Anyway, no ironing was required..LOL

I met friends for lunch outside at our fav Mexican restaurant. We're trying to soak up every ounce of this beautiful weather that we can while it lasts. We had a great time too!

Then back home and to reality, lol. Laundry, dishes, dusting, vacuuming, etc. All INSIDE!!!! Ugh.

Well Carolyn, we actually have more than one, lol. Jose Pepper's for lunch with girls and 1.99 Monday and Tuesday margaritas, Panzon's for the food overall and the neighborhood Cheers feeling to the place and Taqueria Mexico for Mexican breakfast. Can you tell we really like Mexican food??? Lolol.

We're trying to soak up every ounce of this beautiful weather that we can while it lasts. We had a great time too! Then back home and to reality, lol. Laundry, dishes, dusting, vacuuming, etc. All INSIDE!!!! Ugh.

Jose Pepper's for lunch with girls and 1.99 Monday and Tuesday margaritas, Panzon's for the food overall and the neighborhood Cheers feeling to the place and Taqueria Mexico for Mexican breakfast. Can you tell we really like Mexican food??? Lolol.
