Oh Carolyn, I forgot to ask. Can you apply as soon as you turn 62? Or is it 62 1/2? DH and I were talking about it.

No...Sandy..I will be 62 in November..You can apply several months in advance..Then
when your dh retires, you can get some of his.. My dh's full retirement age is 66, in 2012..So, you get more then, obviously.. Okay..however, if you collect "earlier" than your retire date, you can only make $14,000 a year..but if you wait until your retirement date, you can collect SS and keep on working.. Terribly sad news today. One of my dinner club friends was expecting her first grandbaby any day now, I watched her daughter grow up, get married and pregnant, we were all so excited for the whole family. The mother went into labor today and they had a baby's heartbeat but the baby died before she could deliver, not sure what went wrong. I am sooooo sad for the whole family. I have known this friend for over 20 years, the whole family is wonderful. Why

![]() Carolyn - they said it's better to use your arm a lot after the shot. It should make it less sore! I like Pumpking Iron! ![]() |

A friend and her family have all had this stomach bug, she missed one day of work, her DH has missed 3, moans and groans all night, hmmm, THE MAN COLD, I told her that he would probably call 999.
Going to take some flowers and paper goods over to my friends house to help out with the people coming and going. They have a lot of friends so I imagine will be getting more than enough food brought by, sometimes just extra plates, napkins, plastic ware and trashbags, paper towels help out. Will be a hard visit to make but I have to go and let them know how sad we are for them all.

Morning,
So glad I went by to see my friend and family yesterday. Got to see and hug her DD, the mommy, as well. She said that people hadn't been by, I suppose people are at a loss as to what to do but she was very glad that I came and I was thankful that I went ahead, it is hard to know when and what to do. No plans for the weekend, I told her if needed, to call me and I would come over and help with anything that needed done. Otherwise, just take a couple of walks and enjoy our cooler weather. Not sure if I mentioned that I went to the Dr. thursday and got a steroid shot for my allergies, it sure helped, I feel 100% better, although didn't sleep hardly at all the first night and not too much last night, but better than the misery I was in. Hope everyone has a great weekend. |
