Morning!
Frankie Vallie show was good and for 73 he put on a great show. His band and backup singers were very good. Got in the meet and greet part so had our picture taken with him, he is a very small man, DH and I dwarfed him!

Yes, Carolyn, tell us more info on the LC cruise.

Some shopping returns with a friend today, then DGS's ballgame and he is coming home to spend the night with me. Tomorrow might go to the new SJP movie with 2 of my DD's.

Oh..yup..I'm not sure I can post a link, but goggle Low Carb Cruise 2012..There are some peeps from here going and lots of Jimmy Moore's peeps and many wonderful speakers.

You have to look on the Carnival site for the prices, but we got balcony rooms for about
$1200 each. Starts Sunday, May 6th and lands the following Sunday.

How fun it some of us could go..... or all of us..There are beaches involved, Sandy.

Hi.

The cooling mattress is very cool to the touch. Dh was snoring, so I had to move before
I could make a good determination. However, he will be gone this week, so I'll be able
to tell you if it works all night long...

Those emoticons are very, very cute...

Had a potluck/meeting at church. I just got a meat/cheese tray from Wallies..Easy and good..and I have leftovers.

Hi all,
Well this was wedding weekend so busy from Friday until this a.m. It was beautiful! And everything went very smoothly, which is always nice. I got to see lots of old friends and family. We had 5 generations in attendance again which is always fun. I plan on loafing around a LOT tomorrow, lol.

DH decided to get up early today (5:00am) to go to work early. I wish he'd tell me these things the night before, so I wouldn't stay up late reading!

It's a good book and I had trouble stopping - so . . . . now we're all up WAY too early!

Book club tonight!

What's the book? I have book club tonight too. I could NOT get into this month's selection. And nobody else I've talked to was able to either. It was called The Women. About the women in Frank Lloyd Wright's life. I thought it was totally boring!!

Morning.
Yes MK, what book?
Oh Sandy, I have to say, that book sounds totally boring

I need to go to DD's house and see what other audible books she has on her Itunes and have her put them on my phone, I have listened to all of them I have now.

I did get a 30 minute walk in yesterday and plan on it again today. Last time I tried to start walking again, I developed a very sore right food and had to stop, sure hope that doesn't happen again, I need to get back into walking.

Carolyn, I made a roast, carrots, onion and potato in the crockpot yesterday and like you, poured over a can of cream of chix soup and a can of french onion, when it was done I used a little corn starch to thicken up the gravy, it was very good. DD#1 always cooks her roasts this way, using various soups.

Hi Cindy!

Hi gals..

Hmmm...We saw Falling Waters in PA, that gorgeous F rank Lloyd Wright home. Just amazing..However, I'm sure The Women would be slightly boring as he worked all the time. Although, an interesting note..My Aunt Elsie was a private nurse near NYC and she had him as a patient in the hospital. He wrote her a very nice note..My brother has it..Maybe Aunt Elsie could have been one of the women if she played her cards right..LOL.

Your roast sounds great.. I still have some leftover meat, but I might make a soup with it..

Exercised, now Bible Study..Did my ironing while watching Dancing With the Stars and switching back to Sing Off.. Tonight I will have to DVR The Biggest Loser..What an exciting life I lead..

Last night I watched 3 of the new or starting over tv shows. 2 1/2 men, I think it is going to be very good with Ashton, didn't know quite how they would pull that off. Then, 2 broke girls, looks promising and then I watched the Playboy Club. Will watch all 3 again and decide if good enough to tape.

Carolyn, I will have to do something with part of this roast, it was huge piece of meat and just the two of us??? I should have cut it into half or even thirds before I froze it the first time. And, DH isn't very good about eating left overs although I am. Making a soup out of some of the meat is a good idea, I make and freeze little containers of soup for my lunches all the time.

Going out to walk again today. Keep it up Buffy

Right...Soup is always a good thing..I know with just the 2 of us, a roast can go a very long way unless you are creative..LOL.

Walk, Buffy, walk...

Hi gang..

Be sure to look at the end of the August thread to see Cindy's beautiful porch/deck area..So pretty..

I was 154 today.. I'm like a bouncing ball..up and down.

Read with my 2 little girls today..Sweet ones..One lives with her grandpa and his girlfriend along with one sister and 2 brothers. The gf has been her "mom" since she
was one. The real mom and real dad are duds apparently.. But, she is very sweet.

Yesterday ~

I had breakfast with a friend yesterday, then exercised, then lunch with another friend, walked the dog, walked me - with another friend, then had a slumber party with 3 women that I've known for over 20 years!

We had an amazing dinner, wine, etc, then talked until 1:30am!
I'm almost coherent today!

Now - to focus on today!

MKay...How fun was that???

Poor dh and ds both have colds..I guess it is going around..Try to get some Sudafed..and it seems as though the pharmas around here can't get it..So, trying some other stuff. I made some chicken soup for Brett and it is waiting in his fridge for when he comes home from work.

Weighed 154 today.. still the same..Some of this fat has to come off before the cruise in May..Maybe I should stop eating so much??? Ya think??

The slumber party sounds FUN!

Allergies are kicking in big time for both DH and I and a lot of others in our area. I have felt drained all week, all I want to do is sleep and itchy eyes, oh, I hate it. Just makes me so tired. Been taking zrtec, or however you spell it. Not sure it even helps.
DH got up in the attic this morning and pulled down a bunch of boxes, that now he wants me to go through, , more dust and I imagine most of it needs to be trashed but it is something we need to work on. He keep wanting the kids to take their stuff but my DS has such a teeny house that they have no place to put this stuff and I am afraid he will toss things he might wish he had later.

Maybe plans for Sat. night, if I feel up to it, supposed to go out with the girls from dinner club to celebrate a birthday. Wine bar and wine and allergies don't go well together so I am pretty sure it would be diet cokes for me. We will see how I feel tomorrow night.

Hair cut and color yesterday, more of the dark color but not highlights, just a root touchup, I don't really like it as much, getting too dark for me but others say it looks good. Hmmph!
