After much success on Medi Weight Loss and keeping 42+ pounds off all this time, I'm finding it has been far from easy to go back and finish what I started as I was 10 pounds from my goal. I have the latest book, NHWL, but wish there were a chapter designated to meal plan ideas. Is there a thread on this site dedicated to that and solely recipes? I think it is more of a ballpark deal, then totally specific..Just watch the protein, lower the carbs, and don't sweat the fat.

It is a shock to step outside and not be in an oven..I had to wear a light jacket this morning..Weird..

I slept until 8:30 this morning..recovering from yesterday..I don't know how peeps get up so early and function..

I was 153 this morning..Don't ask me how or why..but I'll take it.

I'm on the straight and narrow today. All I've had all day is cream, eggs, butter and broccoli! Oh and a tiny bit of salami. And I've been pretty lazy all day too, lol.

Did a little church program an hour away at my inlaw's old church group. They ask me every year..they are nice..I was nervous, but it went okay..They fed me dinner..

Dh is in New Orleans near Bourbon Street for a few days..He saw coffee with chicory..Is that any good??? He was going to buy me some if I liked it.

I always thought the chicory made the coffee bitter?? So I don't know?? I'd look it up online and maybe have him just bring you a little bit.

I had a nice drop this morning from just my one day of being super good. Now I just need to stick to it!!

Not sure what chicory cofffee tastes like but it sounds strong??? I used to like the flavored cofee's better than I do now, I pretty much just like plain ole coffee anymore, don't stray too far on my coffee's. Wow, has it gotten expensive though, we used to get our Maxwell House for $4.99 at Walmart, now it has doubled in price. Gonna stock up next time it is on sale.

Off to Austin later this afternoon to help with my little Ollie for a couple of days. I can't wait to see them all. I have a couple of errands to run before I go, so will just leave early and do them on the way.

Do you still have the baby Sandy or has he started with the new day care?

I am trying to take all 4 of my thyroid pills at once this week..We will see how it goes.

Oh...steak tip. I bought some cheap steak and sprinkled it with salt (should have used kosher)..both sides..for an hour..then I rinsed off the salt, patted it dry and grilled it.
Alex and I enjoyed a very nice lunch..

Oh Colton got his first tooth today!!! Why couldn't he have gotten it last week with me? I don't know if mommy and daddy found it or the babysitter. I hope it was mommy and daddy.

Yeah, the steak tip really worked with my charcoal steak from the grocery..
However, my steak was a bit salty as I used the fine stuff and it sunk into the meat
instead of sitting on top of it..LOL.

In our area, there is a 100 mile yard sale on Route 75. I am not a yard saler, but will go to my friend's house this morning to check things out...

I ran A LOT of errands this morning! (and into the afternoon!)

Lunch was a Pumpkin Spice Latte from SB! (Decaf and Soy, of course!)

I have new tennies, new kitchen stuff, DS19's HS yearbook, visited mom, grocery store, . . . . etc.

We leave tomorrow morning for a few days.
Lunch with DS19 in Chicago, Dinner with DS22 and GF in Milwaukee and then to Door County on Sunday!!


I also had my 2nd weight-lifting class. I upped the weights, so we'll see how I feel tomorrow!

I like weight lifting, but again, I'd like to have a buddy to do it with. And be accountable to.

I ran around all day too. I returned a ton of stuff and bought a half ton of stuff to replace it, lol.

One week from tonight is rehearsal and dinner and then 1 week from tomorrow is the big day! I'm praying it doesn't rain either of those days. They want some outside pics so badly.

Whew, busy day here! First we went to the farmer's market, stopped at a bike store and then home. Quick walk for the pooch then me and DH headed out to the park for a bike ride. We're thinking we really new some new, comfy seats, lol. Then DD called and wanted us to meet them for wings. After we ate we went to Walmart and then home so I could color my hair. We just got out of the hot tub and I realized I hadn't even posted today.

I have great news! I was under 150 this a.m. for the first time since sometime in April!! I hope it holds for the weekend.

I'm ready for bed!! But it was a wonderful day and a beautiful day. A day you'd like to rewind and have a do-over.

Dh and I did our neighborhood 2 mile walk. I used to do the walk with my friend June
before she moved away..I wouldn't do it alone, cuz it is rather isolated.

Hi Sandy..Aunt Leta is doing great for 93..She walks 2 miles everyday inside the highrise..
Her eyes aren't that great, but her legs work great.. She said the average age there
was 84ish..LOL..She has a friend who she goes to church with is 102.
