That's the way it is when you don't have as much to lose anymore. The last 10 is always the most difficult plus the 10 I gained. I am fascinated with this woe. I have the latest book, NHWL, but wish there were a chapter designated to meal plan ideas. Is there a thread on this site dedicated to that and solely recipes? Welcome!! Girls, what is the name of the EFGT book? I may have it and could send it to out new comer.

Susan....Yup, you have the right book..His meal plans on the back are too English for me..(Natural Health and Weight Loss, Cindy)

I think it is more of a ballpark deal, then totally specific..Just watch the protein, lower the carbs, and don't sweat the fat.

****** is a great program to keep track of everything...

Oh..you got up at 12:50, Buffy???

Morning,
It wasn't quite that bad Carolyn, but it was late!!!

Really loving our cooler weather, it is so nice to step out the door and not be assulted by a blast of hot air.

Listening to The Bonesetter's Daughter on audible right now.

I'm on the straight and narrow today. All I've had all day is cream, eggs, butter and broccoli! Oh and a tiny bit of salami. And I've been pretty lazy all day too, lol.

Yeah for you, Sandy..

Did a little church program an hour away at my inlaw's old church group. They ask me every year..they are nice..I was nervous, but it went okay..They fed me dinner..

Dh is in New Orleans near Bourbon Street for a few days..He saw coffee with chicory..Is that any good??? He was going to buy me some if I liked it.

I always thought the chicory made the coffee bitter?? So I don't know?? I'd look it up online and maybe have him just bring you a little bit.

I had a nice drop this morning from just my one day of being super good. Now I just need to stick to it!!

Morning!
Not sure what chicory cofffee tastes like but it sounds strong??? I used to like the flavored cofee's better than I do now, I pretty much just like plain ole coffee anymore, don't stray too far on my coffee's. Wow, has it gotten expensive though, we used to get our Maxwell House for $4.99 at Walmart, now it has doubled in price. Gonna stock up next time it is on sale.

Off to Austin later this afternoon to help with my little Ollie for a couple of days. I can't wait to see them all. I have a couple of errands to run before I go, so will just leave early and do them on the way.

Do you still have the baby Sandy or has he started with the new day care?

Hi gang..

Beignets..Don't tempt me..I'm sure he is enjoying all that wonderful food down there..

I'll do a search on the coffee with chicory..

Have fun with Ollie, Buffy...We do need more Ollie pictures..Be safe driving..

Exercised, got my coffee, have another food meeting tonight. Barbecue, which is
usually pretty good..I will avoid those taters and dessert..

Sandy: Yeah for the drop..Being good does pay off..

I am trying to take all 4 of my thyroid pills at once this week..We will see how it goes.

Oh...steak tip. I bought some cheap steak and sprinkled it with salt (should have used kosher)..both sides..for an hour..then I rinsed off the salt, patted it dry and grilled it.
Alex and I enjoyed a very nice lunch..

Welcome Frances, yes eat legal, it works. Remember though, do as we say not as we (sometimes) do, lol.

Carolyn, I've wondered about that steak tip before. So it really works huh?

Oh Colton got his first tooth today!!! Why couldn't he have gotten it last week with me? I don't know if mommy and daddy found it or the babysitter. I hope it was mommy and daddy.

Yeah, the steak tip really worked with my charcoal steak from the grocery..
However, my steak was a bit salty as I used the fine stuff and it sunk into the meat
instead of sitting on top of it..LOL.

Was a little up from my salted steak..LOL..but I know it will come down today.

In our area, there is a 100 mile yard sale on Route 75. I am not a yard saler, but will go to my friend's house this morning to check things out...

Hope everyone is doing okay today..Another beauty of a day.

I ran A LOT of errands this morning! (and into the afternoon!)

Lunch was a Pumpkin Spice Latte from SB! (Decaf and Soy, of course!)

I have new tennies, new kitchen stuff, DS19's HS yearbook, visited mom, grocery store, . . . . etc.

We leave tomorrow morning for a few days.
Lunch with DS19 in Chicago, Dinner with DS22 and GF in Milwaukee and then to Door County on Sunday!!

I also had my 2nd weight-lifting class. I upped the weights, so we'll see how I feel tomorrow!

That 100 mile sale sounds like a fun day!

I like weight lifting, but again, I'd like to have a buddy to do it with. And be accountable to.

I ran around all day too. I returned a ton of stuff and bought a half ton of stuff to replace it, lol.

One week from tonight is rehearsal and dinner and then 1 week from tomorrow is the big day! I'm praying it doesn't rain either of those days. They want some outside pics so badly.

Have fun MK. Sounds like a great trip.

Sandy - that's why I need a class! Plus the instructor has won competitions and I know she'll make sure I lift correctly!

Carolyn - how were the muffins?

Whew, busy day here! First we went to the farmer's market, stopped at a bike store and then home. Quick walk for the pooch then me and DH headed out to the park for a bike ride. We're thinking we really new some new, comfy seats, lol. Then DD called and wanted us to meet them for wings. After we ate we went to Walmart and then home so I could color my hair. We just got out of the hot tub and I realized I hadn't even posted today.

I have great news! I was under 150 this a.m. for the first time since sometime in April!! I hope it holds for the weekend.

I'm ready for bed!! But it was a wonderful day and a beautiful day. A day you'd like to rewind and have a do-over.

Sandy: Nice comfy seats on bikes is a must..Do they make them..Good for you on your weight..YOU are such a good example....150..

Dh and I did our neighborhood 2 mile walk. I used to do the walk with my friend June
before she moved away..I wouldn't do it alone, cuz it is rather isolated.
