Carbs or Net Carbs
Hi, I have been a low carb dieter for a while and have slipped off track. I am back but find Atkins a bit too strict and am having trouble getting back on. So I read EFGT. I like this approach much better. I just need some clarification. Are the total carbs net carbs. do I minus the fibre. In the book he acutally had carrots, an apple and an orange. Not all at once but all were allowed. I am giving this a try. Will check in for support.
Thanks Deb |

Debi, I believe it is net carbs..However, many people cannot do the 60 grams that Barry recommends..It is all so individual..Do what works for you.

Thanks, I actually found an address to send to Barry and received an answer, it is net carbs. you are right 60 carbs is high for real carbs, and way too high for net carbs. I just like the idea that I can have carrots, corn, or potatoes once in a while as long as I don't eat them all together every day.
