OT: Eat Fat, Get Thin Book Club

Let's put this thread here when you find a book that is enjoyable that you think people would like. Don't have to be diet books, either..Just any book, diet or
regular..:)

Great idea Carolyn!

One of my favorites:

Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks

I could fill up the whole page by myself - and probably another with the ones I didn't like!

Go for it..

I liked The Help..:)

Loved The Help. Will add more but marking my spot. Thanks dearest Carolyn for setting this up, great idea.

My oldest DD, the elementary principal, simply devours books, wow, she reads fast. one she was reading recently was.........The History of Salt. Hmmmm,???? She reads all kinds of things, it has really been interesting to learn through her. She also reads a lot of historical books, now, if I could just remember 1/4 of the things she tells me....

I have recently read "Sarah's Key," "The **** Officer's Wife," and "Clara's War." All are about the Holocaust, and very interesting.

Right now, I'm reading "The Devil in the White City," about the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago.

Buffy45 07-13-2011 07:43 AM

Sarah's Key is one I read in the past several months and was a great book.
Thanks for reminding me of that one Shirl.

When I saw your post about Kate Morton, I remembered I'd been given a book of her's, so I'm adding it to my reading pile!
