I just can't wear shoes that make my feet sweaty. I hate it!! And my feet are so wide and in the summer they swell when they get hot. That's why flip-flops are perfect for me, lol.

On the sweaty feet, my friend who works for a podiatrist says to put your feet in a water/bleach solution a couple times a week..LOL..

I do......the pool, lolol. I always wear flipflops so usually no sweating here unless I have to dress up. Ugh.

I ordered a new nook. A color one. I'm going to load an operating system on it that makes it like an iPad. I hope I can do it, lol.

Big congrats to Brett!!! Do you think it'll bother him working for the same company as his dad?

Morning
No keeping cool in TX right now, it is just hot, hot, hot. DD#3 and family are in Aspen as I said and she doesn't want to come home. They are looking at getting a condo for the whole month of July next year, yay. Will do visit. DH and I may go to CO next month, if my BIL and SIL are out there at their ranch, then we can go out to visit them and have a place to stay.

Don't feel like I have gotten back to normal yet, have had my DB on my mind so much this past year and even though now I am not worrying about him, he is still very much on my mind. Find myself thinking, I hope he is adjusting well, LOL, now what a silly thought, of course he is.

Have eye dr. appt. tomorrow and Thurs. I am going to a upper GI dr. to have a checkup, I have had Gerd for so long and my voice now is often raspy, I think it is due to allergies but need to have all that checked out.

Friday, taking DGS 11 to get his immunizations up to date and his allergy shot, why do I have to be the grandparent that takes him on these hurtful errands???? LOL. But, we will do a nice lunch too. That night he is off to camp for a few days.

All I wear in the summer is flip flops too Sandy. Sneakers or boat shoes if I need something more. Can't do rubber type shoes.

Yay for Brett, here was a job at his backdoor and he was out looking hither and yonder. Will be nice to have him closeby, but in his own place.

Ollie (6months) stood up in his crib the other day, more safety features to be done at their house, he has already been crawling for a few weeks. Busy, busy little guy.

I take it a Nook is like a Kindle? My next tech thing will be the newest Iphone if it ever comes out, I keep hearing Sept but once in a while someone says, no, August. And then, who knows if I will have to wait to get it. I have been listening to more books than reading them, so not sure how much I would use the Nook/Kindle. And, you can load books to read on an Iphone but that would be really little.

When we got to our friends in Iowa last week, she, a fellow book lover, pulled out The Art of Racing in the Rain and said "you have to read this, it is my new favorite book", I laughed and told her I had just finished listening to it. I am listening to Matters of the Heart right now.

Yes, it was weird on Brett's job because he wasn't interested last January..but prayer can "change you"..not the situation.

Brett had a phone interview with Case/Holland, but he is going to take the MEC job here.
There is no guarantee that he would get the Case job and he would have to have a personal interview..Never rains, but it pours.

But he has decided on MEC starting August 1st. I have to rent a truck for moving his stuff down here..(company will pay), and he will come down and look at an apartment this weekend..

Dh got home at 12:30 a.m. and left at 7:30 for Boston/Maine, etc..Luckily, he had clean clothes to take.

Was 155 this morning....Hope it sticks..

Nope, no cooler weather for Buffy. Watched the weather last night and today is supposed to be the 13th day in a row in triple digits. Sigh.....

I feel bad for all the people, young and old who are looking for work today, it is such a bad job market. I watched 48 hours last night, it was about several young women who were working as personal escorts/prostitutes who were murdered, but, what broke my heart was this young woman with 2 children who turned to this work because she was desparate and going to be evicted. Her sister had a notebook of hers that listed all the jobs she had applied for and be turned down on. Our country is in sad shape. And yet, many are getting richer and richer. Some CEO's making millions a year.

Whew, stepping off my soap box, I almost broke my ankle.

Finally went to sleep last night at a normal hour with no sleeping aids and slept all night. My sleep has been so bad for quite some time now and I constantly feel so tired. Maybe I will start to get back to normal, no??

Have to pay bills today and do some laundry, oh, pick up this messy house. I swear, the older we get the messier we get.

Carolyn, hopefully, this will be the last move for Brett for a while. Just think of all the moving we helped with during those young years with all the kids we have,

. Dave got to where he would drive but refused to lift anything, haha.

Thanks Carolyn for starting our book thread, great idea. Like you, I see ones on here but then forget them, or, put them on a little piece of paper that keeps hiding from me.

Cindy, did you see the TX baby that was born weighing over 16 lbs!!!!

if I think he would like them..

I think we will hire the youth group to unload the truck...

Well, the one bedroom is little, but nice with a washer/dryer..So, I think B should look at it Saturday, and the other is a 2 bedroom with a hookup for a w/dryer and a dishwasher in a nice complex. We have a Saturday appointment at 1 p.m..

Hi..

I think he likes the price difference..$395 versus $585 for more room..The $395 has the w/dryer, but not alot of closets..I told him to bring his checkbook to made a deposit on the one he likes on Saturday..We can get the youth group to help move in for a donation..

I had to get up at 7 also, taking DGS 11 to Dr. appt. today and to get his allergy shot, before he heads off to camp for a week. A chance for me to see him and take him to lunch.
MK, that picture is about 10 years old now, so my bangs have grown,

, must get a new picture posted.

Yes, would have been nice if the Dr. would have just trimmed my bangs, would have saved me a few steps,

Yesterday is upper GI, I have an appt. for a scope on the 28th. Monday is eye Dr., then I need to find a new dentist and get that scheduled. Always something.

It was so hot running errands yesterday that I came home very tired out.

Carolyn, I like the one with W/D also, but the extra bedroom might be appealing to him as well. Hard to decide. The cheaper price also is appealing.

I'm running the Doghouse B&B again this weekend. I'll have 4 of them until late Sunday some time. I woke up to a barking Bailey as she heard the others being dropped off. If she would have just been quiet I could've snoozed a bit longer. Oh well, they're all fed and happy now. Except Bailey. It takes her a while to adjust to them invading her space. She doesn't mind invading theirs when she goes over there though, lol.

It's going to be so hot here this weekend we'll probably have to do stuff inside if we do anything. Maybe a movie?

A chance for me to see him and take him to lunch. MK, that picture is about 10 years old now, so my bangs have grown, , must get a new picture posted. Yes, would have been nice if the Dr. would have just trimmed my bangs, would have saved me a few steps, Yesterday is upper GI, I have an appt. for a scope on the 28th. Monday is eye Dr., then I need to find a new dentist and get that scheduled. Always something. It was so hot running errands yesterday that I came home very tired out. Carolyn, I like the one with W/D also, but the extra bedroom might be appealing to him as well. Hard to decide. The cheaper price also is appealing.
