MK...hope you find some relax time today for yourself, hun.
Keysgirl, I need to give up dairy completely...I crave it. Weird. It always sabotages my plan I shouldn't have it in the house. Cindy and Sandy have a great day!! Carolyn, that chicken sounds good. Buffy, I have been run down too. I think I am on my feet again. I had a strange nasal/lung infection this last week. I needed to catch up on sleep this last 4 days too. I guess the month of June was a bit busy with 3 jobs, now that I look back. No wonder I was so tired and run down. LOL. I'm not 24 any more. One more week of tutoring, subbing done until September, now just the one job at night to deal with. Not sure if I am tutoring much this summer. I'd like the $, but my student needs a break as she is not very focussed. Her mom is so driven though. Will have to talk to her to make the suggestion that she take July off. OK, so explain this....Lunch was nice and balanced yesterday and then......I ate 2 cups of ice cream, 7 ounces of melted brie cheese, and 2 slices of bread+butter last night after getting home from 3 hours of "exercise" (my cleaning job and a walk). I slept 7 hours last night instead of the usual 5 and the scale didn't go up today at all. What? Better question is why do I have ice cream in the freezer, right? I have to do a clean out this morning of my cupboards. I hate sugar. Oh, I will get this in order, ladies. Today...church, walk cats, clean out cupboards (dairy and sugar to go), exercise, eat right, a few phone calls. Have a great day, all

Sometimes you just need a good night's sleep!
You'll lose more weight the more you sleep. I think it just gives me less hours to eat! ![]() |

Hi gals..
Whew..The going away dinner for our pastor of 21 years went great..It was a potluck and I asked about 12 people to bring 2 dishes and there was plenty to go around..This is a good thing.. Yes, sleeping is so important...Dr. Oz has some video on it..about 8 hours is perfect..He recommends going to bed at 10 or 11, the latest.. Gotta pack for my Des Moines trip.. |

I can't believe that 3 of us on this thread are getting new pastors!! All about the very same time too. Hmmmm.
We went to church last night and got up and walked the dogs this a.m. before it got too toasty. Two of them went home last night so we only had ours and one extra today. She got to experience swimming in the creek for the first time. I'm not sure what she thought about that but ours loves it. She thinks she's a Lab b/c she's been raised around one and just always thought it was natural to jump in the water with him. When she's wet though she looks like a drowned white rat! Then we went to Whole Paycheck and picked up a few things. We're grilling tuna steaks for dinner. And we got some kefir and kombucha to try. We'll see how that goes, lol. Then we went to see Water for Elephants. That was a good, sad movie. My weight is still elevated (nice word, right) and I don't seem to be doing much about it except complaining. Ugh!

I think our new priest arrives July 15? Not positive though. And our former priest is already gone; using up vacation days I think. He's been having health problems too. I'm sure going to miss him but am hopeful our new one will be great!
The start of another week. I sure hope I can stay in check. |

Morning
Wow, weeks are so much better when you don't have the stomach flu!!! Had a great visit with DS, DDIL and little Ollie, too short but great. Need to get nails done today plus office work. Otherwise, just hot here, it is summer in TX. More rain would be awesome. |

Morning
Still hot Chrissy mentioned that she craves dairy, can you believe I crave cottage cheese a lot! I mean I crave it like chocolate, or ice cream, cottage cheese! I love Braum's cottage cheese, but the full fat variety. Today little Bobby (3) is coming out this afternoon to spend the night with us. I had to cancel on him last week when I was sick. He is very energized, so it will be fun but tiring and he will want to go outside and it is sooooo hot now, supposed to be over 100 every day this week.

Morning,
LOL MK, heat didn't slow him down, held him off on going outside until 7:30 and then we stayed out about an hour and it was still very hot. Got him to bed around 9 and he went right to sleep. UP at 7:00 raring to go again, wow, give me some of that energy!!! Gee, my old toaster set off the fire alarm, perhaps it is set a little too sensitive!!! |

Oh...Just got home from Des Moines and a really fun time with my old buddies..Got some stuff in Lawrence at the health food store..
Well, we saw Bridesmaids..3 of us..It was raunchy/funny...I loved Megan..(Molly)..what a riot she was. I was very bad and will have to be very good starting tomorrow.. New name? We had the Firecracker Challenge last year..We could do a repeat..I will have to have some firecrackers to blast this fat off of me..LOL. Oh...Jeanne my friend just built a beautiful new home in a new area and they had a Trader Joe's..so I went there before I left..and bought some stuff..I know the 2 KCity stores are opening up soon.

Glad you're back and that you had a good time. Our TJ's is supposed to open July 15!! Woohooo!! I've been to Whole Foods 3x this week!! I've decided to make kombucha! And kefir if I can find the grains.
I saw B-maids twice and laughed just as hard the 2nd time. Yes it was a bit raunchy, but soooo funny too. And not near as raunchy as Hangover II. I really do NOT rec that movie at all. |
