Hi..

Oh...I can't wait for Bridesmaids to come here.. Should be fun.

Fourteen peeps from our church went over to Joplin to help with cleanup..They took their leadership from Samaritan's Purse (Franklin Graham's group) who are so knowledgeable about disaster areas/clean up/ emotional support..They mostly picked up
limbs, debris, etc..and encouraged the people over there.

Brett stopped by for an overnight and left at 5:15 a.m. to go to Branson to stay with
Rachel and her family. He had to leave early cuz Rachel had alot planned that day..LOL.
They will come over here at noon tomorrow and stay until Monday. I volunteered to do Brett's laundry, which I am doing now..

Gary's KCity aunt and her son/dinlaw will stop by here for an out to lunch, then we will go to a tiny cemetery about 4 miles from here where our Uncle's parents are buried.
Aunt Leta is a real trooper at 95 to still visit graves.

What's everyone up to?

Sandy - did I miss it - did the daughter and friends in Joplin ever show up?
Yes they were found and sadly, they didn't make it. At least now their families know though. I can't imagine the not-knowing.

I can't imagine how terrible it is to lose a loved one in a tornado..Must be just terrible.

My KCity Aunt just left with my cousins (who live in Gulfport, MS) now. They are fun people..and Alex was on his good behavior..

Last load of laundry..Will turn on some Netflix and iron ds's shirts..

Bridesmaids: There were parts that were hysterical. Then there were the other parts!
If I'd had three martinis, I would have liked it more!

After the movie, and another gully-washer storm, we went to church and then DS18's GF came over for dinner. Who knew you could burn/dry out chicken in a crock pot?!

But the corn on the cob and cookies were good.
We watched a couple Game of Thrones and I went to bed early.

I'm reading Heaven Is Real: Lessons on Earthly Joy--From The Man Who Spent 90 Minutes In Heaven.
It's really interesting!!

DH is going to KC today for a niece's graduation.
The kitchen sink in backed-up and the lawn needs to be mowed!
But, no, no, honey. go ahead and go . . . .

I'm having a stay-at-home read and watch movie day. I have Megamind!
And hopefully a walk!
I think the rain has stopped!

Those are 13 year cicadas. They'll be around about 2 weeks!

It is the sequel to 90 Minutes in Heaven.
But I've not read that one.

There was a lot of BBQ sauce in the crock pot - no clue why it burned!

I was only dive-bombed twice on my afternoon walk!

Busy busy weekend. Out of town friends and just lots of running around. And of course too much indulging. Tomorrow is the last day of May right? I'll weigh on Wed. You just never know what one more day might do to help me out, lol.

DGS is trying to get his pool open. It usually takes him a couple of days. I hope the weather is warm enough to go to the pool this week. I need to catch up with my pool buds.

Morning!
Been a very busy weekend and it was such a treat to come here this morning and read the thread, you guys are all so funny and entertaining and I love our little group.

Bob the cat, one of my friends has a big tom cat named Bob, I love that.

I am way behind on my movie watching but Bridesmaids looks very good and funny.

Bobby's birthday party on Saturday was quite a hit. His Mommy and Daddy had gone all out on the pirate theme and it was so cute and all the kids came in pirate attire. Had the bouncy house sat up in one garage, a big pirate ship pinata in the other garage, a pirate tattoo parlor at one table, picture taking at another and my daughter had made and decorated a pirate for his birthday cake. Little Ava, 1 was dressed in a little pirate dress, she was so cute and Bobby had on his pirate suit that I had gotten him for his birthday, it was all a lot of fun. Swimming in the pool for the kids after all the other events.

Oh, those cicadas are loud and scary looking. Quite a photo you took MK, you should enter that into a contest, either for photos or bugs!!

Dried out food in a crockpot???? Never heard of such an event. Anything I put in it turns into gallons of liquid, I swear. LOL. Good to set the bar low for the girlfriend though, she will think that is how your son is used to eating, hahahaha. 2 of my son-in-laws are good cooks and the third is a great cleaner upper, so the girls are all pretty lucky. My son and his wife are both good cooks and both clean up.

Busy week ahead, on Thursday I am going to visit DS and family so I can babysit little Ollie on Thursday and Friday while his other grandma is busy. Can't wait to see him again, I don't like him being out of town from me, I want to be able to see him every week.

The book I am listening to right now is "Sing Them Home" by Stephanie Kallos, was on the best seller list in 09 I think. Very good, and appropriate for tornado season as one of the characters seems to have been taken up by a tornado and never found.

I remember a while back that some of you were trying the HCG drops. A friend of mine said that a lady at her church recently lost 30 lbs using the HCG drops she got at a medical clinic near here. The doctor is also a member of my friends church so my friend is going to call and get the details. The lady who lost the weight said she did a 500 calorie a day diet which is terribly low but also said she wasn't ever hungry and that it was the easiest diet she has ever done. Hmmmmmmm

Good morning..

Wednesday is the perfect day to weigh.. Thanks for the great idea.

Last year we did June Bug Challenge..We can do that again..

Buffy: You always have such fun parties... I love it.

I did the "drops", but I couldn't keep up with the very low calorie thing..There is a group
on LCF's that does it and is quite successful at it. I think it is under one of the challenges..There are a series of different rounds, so you aren't eating low calorie all the time. People have gotten the drops at other places. When you get the drops at
a doctor's office, they are very expensive. My doctor does the shots, which are even
more expensive..

Ds is getting ready to head for OK and work. My bible study ladies are meeting for lunch..I will get a salad..I will get a salad..

You can check out the threads here, there is alot of information..Most of the ladies get the homeopathic stuff...Netrition sells it, too, I think.

Was good and had a salad..Had fun with 13 of our ladies..It's nice keeping in touch throughout the summer..Wish I had a pool pal..We have a nice new pool with water slides, but my friends won't go..

I haven't had any motivation today!!

Did Insanity for 50 minutes and then P90X for another 45.
Ran a couple of errands (that I didn't need to get out of the car), home, showered, back out for more errands, home to wait for the plumber.
Plumber came about 2:00, walked the dog . . . . here I am!

I KNOW I should be doing something . . . .

My stylist is still using them and loves it. You go on maintenance after a while and then start the cycle again.

And Buffy - you too!

Are you still using DHEA?
I still haven't ordered it . . . .

And I don't like the water, and we don't belong to a private pool - since my boys have been the lifeguards for the park district pool, that doesn't sound appealing either!

No exercise for me today.. Ds left about 10ish, then it was lunchtime..got back later, then went shopping at a store that was going out of business in our little town..I liked the store cuz she sold Tribal clothes as well as Woolrich..Got some shorts/tops/sandals and came home..
