My FIL was part of the troops that liberated Dachau. He would never talk about it much. I'd imagine it was pretty traumatic for everybody.

My peonies took a little bit of a beating last night and now more storms tonight will probably really destroy the blooms. I have a beautiful friendship peony that is beautiful too.

MK, it should be all about you right now. You have a lot going on.

I had Colton (my new GGB) this morning and DH called and wanted to meet for lunch so I loaded him up and off we went. It totally made me realize that I can NOT do that every day, lol. But it was fun and he was good. He got his first vaccines today. Poor little guy. She said the Dr. told her only 10% of babies are fussy from them; I told her 100% of my babies were fussy from them, lol.

I walked, made it to my haircut/color etc, Sams, Sears for DS18's pic, Wine store and Kohl's.

Now I really don't want to clean because I look cute and I have a meeting tonight!

:aprayer for Brett!
Lunch was a few meatballs!

We're supposed to get rain tonight, tomorrow, etc. Of course - since I'm having a party!

Hi guys..

Had dinner at my gfriend's house..Heard James went home on Idol..Big surprise to me.

Yes, Sandy, having your sweet little guy every day is exhausting...But, its fun to play great grandma once in a while, though..Not babysitter..

Thanks for Brett's prayers..

Morning,

The storms missed us the other night but there were some around. But, a tornado touched down in the small town in Lenox near where I grew up and did some damage. Cindy, it is a small town about 20 miles from Corning so Tom would know where it is. It is even smaller than Corning. Hope everyone's flowers got the benefit of the rain and missed being hailed on.

Prayers for Brett in KC interview.

MK, I am leaving this morinng to go to my oldest grandson's HS graduation in NE which is tomorrow as well. My DD just has the two and her DD graduated last May so she will be empty nester next year as well. Carolyn, yes, he is going to college at UNK in Lincoln. It is a quick trip, drive up today, enjoy tomorrow and drive back Sunday. Everyone has to go back to school/work on Monday and DD#2 who is driving up with me needs to get back to her little ones so we are not staying on.

Having a terrible situation with DGS 11's stepmother. We have tried to get along with her and poor little guy, he has tried his best to meet her expectations but she just plain has a mean streak in her and I think she and DGS's dad are having marital problems. She is taking it out on DGS and trust me, it is truly awful. She told her DH in front of DGS the other day that he is just a rotten kid. She made him sit down the other day and write down a list of why he was bad and he gave her a paper with 5 things on it, then she turned around and said no, you can list at least 20 things and made him work on it again. My former SIL is somewhat of a wimp when it comes to her and hasn't done a very good job of sticking up for his son, but I think this last visit kind of put him over the edge finally and he talked to DD yesterday and said he was going to sit down with her that night and go over some things. Divorce seems to be being talked about but she is due with their 2nd baby in June so he is really in a tough situation but poor DGS is taking the brunt of it. He wants to see his dad and we want him to but something is going to have to be done to keep him away from her. It is heartbreaking to watch but each time we say something, she just treats him worse and worse. He seldom opens up about it because he knows it will get back to her and he will just suffer for another visit.

Well, better get ready, DD will be here at 10:00 to pick me up.

Sandy, Colton is adorable, love the pictures you have of him on facebook but yes, it is very tiring to watch little ones at our age. We are keeping the triplets for 3 days in June and I told DH that HE is helping on that one!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Oh Buffy, that is horrible about your poor DGS. Especially when as grandparents you feel so utterly helpless. I hope your former SIL can fix things to make it easier on him. How often is he with them? Hopefully not too much.

You will sure have your hands full for 3 days with the triplets. How old are they now?

Hi ladies..

Where are the weeds???? I love hostas so much...My dirt doesn't like them and they keep dying on me..Great job, Cindy.

Yes, today was Brett's MAC interview..Hope to hear later on today how he thought he did. Thanks for the prayers...

Buffy: Grrrr.....it makes me mad that a stepmom can be so mean. Will definitely pray
for a resolution to this problem. Does he live with your dd or your ex-sil? No golfing for dh when the triplets are on board, Buffy.

Had lunch with a friend today..It was fun and I have leftovers for tonight..

Dh should be home around 1 a.m. tonight..He will be one tired puppy dog.

Hi ladies..

Brett's MAC interview went well, he thought..They want him back to see the plant up north .It is near Morrill, KS..His gf isn't too pleased, but what can you do???

Dh made it home and he is planting my new little Early Girl tomato plants in my rolling patio planter. The farm boy is coming out in him. I'm doing laundry..what else??

Haven't stepped on the scale, but will do it tomorrow..

MK had a graduation this weekend and I'm sure she is busy with family..

Amazingly fun party last night!!

Great food, fun friends, and how did we go through 6 bottles of wine?
Must have had a good time!

I guess today's graduation will be in the gym - No one said anything about tickets, so fingers crossed we don't need any!

It's 52 and so chilly and damp!

Hi ladies..

Oh..Mary Kay, graduations are a real fun time for all..I'm sure they will let you in. We had only 10 tickets when Beth graduated, so that limited peeps..Most peeps want to go to the party and don't worry about the graduation anyway..

Hope everyone is doing okay..It is cold out here, too.

We went to a wedding last night. It was very nice but too far to have too much fun and drive home, IYKWIM. But we were still out late. This morning I had to work a reception at church for one of our priest's archbishop from Africa. It was very well atttended; if fact we ran out of food!! Yikes. But everybody had a good time.

My weight is UP again. Ugh.

Oh...what great looking kids, Mary Kay..Of course, having good looking parents helps..
I'm so happy for you and Evan.. DBF is darling, too..

Cindy: I stopped taking my 100 yesterday cuz I thought it was keeping me up at night.
I will go cold turkey for a while. I can get the 25 version, though..

Ds is on his way here from visiting his gf and will spend the week at the Pie Factory..
They don't give samples out there..

Hi ladies..

Did my errands..back on track...today..

Going to make something with the leftover rotisserie chicken. I think it is a pretty salty bird, so I threw the whole thing in some water to boil for a while..

Beautiful day down here in KS..

On the Pie Factory..yes, they should give out free pies, but they don't like the pizza factory does. The Pie Factory is seasonal in it's manufacturing. They bake pies when they can get fresh ingredients, which is a good thing.
But the other side of the Pie Factory will be the place where Brett is working. Schwan's is making a line of prepared meals..called Bon Appetit..They have a fancy chef there supervising, too..I'm sure they aren't lowcarb.

My old neighbor June is passing through town tomorrow on her way to see her sister in Wichita. We are having lunch together. I could get a gang of ladies together, but I think
I'll keep her to myself..Unfortunately, her niece's ex died of alcoholism.. at 52.

Morning!!

Got DD24 out of the house at 4:30am yesterday morning and off to the airport in St Louis with DH. Then of course I couldn't go back to sleep.
So waled the dog and then off to Springfield for my mom's doc appt.
Comedy of errors later, I made it to the doc's office.

Home about 1:00pm, and then helped DS22 get packed.
We all went out to dinner and then DS left for Milwaukee.
Hopefully he made it safely - he was supposed to send a text me, but. . . . .

I fell asleep about 9:00 last night and got a wonderful 9 hours!!

Today is Insanity and some errands and then I can't wait to be at home!!

Though the house is really quiet with just the 3 of us!

Hi ladies..

Yes, this is June who went back to her ex..They are getting along and it's been 2 years, so I'm happy for them. We had a nice visit..thanks.

Weight is slowly getting back to my beginning of the month weight..LOL..

Gee, MKay..what a day..How is your mom doing??? I'm sure it was fun having the other kids back for a while..

Our ds will stop by on Saturday for an overnight (?) visit. His gf will be in Branson, so
he won't have to go see her..I think he is going over the following weekend to Silver Dollar City..and they might stop back here..So more cleaning..LOL

MK, I know you are so proud! What great pics!

Carolyn, I take 100mg with b-fast and 100mg with lunch. If I forget the am dose, I take 200mg with lunch but not after because it can keep you up.

Yardwork, yardwork, yardwork! But it is really looking pretty! I'll be sick of it in a month!

Taking the 100 with breakfast kept me up at night.. I'm better now.

Tell me again what you're both taking and why it's good for me??

Yes, it was great to have the kids home - though I hated that we had to have the party inside due to the cold and rain. My flowers and mini lilacs looked amazing!

Also, at the 200mg dose (100 w/ b-fast and 100 w/lunch) has been shown to burn fat better. I'm running around like a mad women! Carolyn, that's why there are no weeds in the flower beds!!

LOL..there are weeds in mine..Maybe I need to upgrade myself. Today, I took all of my Westhroid at once..I upped myself to 4 (60)..This is an experiment..I used to split them, but would get run down in the afternoon, then would take 2 more..I go for blood next week..

Our pastor is leaving the end of June and I'm kind of in charge of the luncheon..Potluck, etc. I have others helping me..We will miss him..He has been here 21 years!!!
