Hi ladies..

Happy Mothers Day and Furmom's Day, too..

Sandy is right. Your mom may be better in a day or two..You just never know so take
your time and see how it goes. In my motherinlaw's case, the AL place met with dh and told him that Betty needed a nursing home..This was correct, too.

I ate lunch with an older lady whose kids are grown and away after church today...

That was so nice Carolyn. I'm sure your friend appreciated that so much!

I had a wonderful breakfast with DD and her whole family, sans baby, yippeee!!! Then we took my fur baby to the dog park and let her swim and play before heading out to DS's house for bacon wrapped wild turkey medallions fixed on the grill. It was a very nice day!!

Poor dh..After traveling 10 hours with a baby near him on the plane, the plane to Warsaw was one hour late..He barely made his connection, then his luggage didn't make it to his
next stop. Poor guy.. I hope they are organized in Poland..and get his luggage to him.

I'm impressed Carolyn. Give it away before you have a chance to change your mind.

I am taking advantage of the nice weather and doing all my spring yard work. It was warm today! About 89. A record or close to it. My iris are going to bloom in the next couple of days . I'll take pics!

Water early in the morning. This is best for plants facing a heat-filled day; it will reduce the chance of stressing plants that feel a lack of water. Watering early can benefit from the dew already laid down. It also helps to discourage fungal growth for plants such as roses; if you water in the evening during humid weather, this encourages the growth of fungal diseases because the foliage lacks a chance to dry out during the night. Lawns also benefit most from early morning watering.

Morning!

Carolyn -

Mom's place called last night - at 10:20pm - yes, I was already asleep! - and she'd fallen again. They also thought she'd had a TIA . . . . hopefully she's fine this morning!

MK, I'm so sorry your mother is having these problems. It's so difficult to make the right decisions. Is your mother normally in assisted living but is now in the hospital?

Look at this thread I started on the Playground. These shoes are too cute! http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/be...ses-shoes.html

Hi gang..

Oh...prayers for your Mom and your situation with her. This is so difficult. Have you been looking for other options for her?

Took my Just Dance Wii game to exercise and my friend and I danced away..LOL..Honestly, dancing is more fun than running.. and you don't mind getting
your heart rate up..

I need to start pulling some weeds...or spraying them with weedkiller..I hate weeds..They grow faster than the flowers..LOL.

Getting my hair cut this afternoon..

Hello dear friends!

Back from London and had a mahvelous time!!! BEst way to spend Mother's Day ever. We covered lots of ground and saw a lot and ate some amazing food and walked a lot, so didn't gain any weight and just absolutely loved London. Back for 3 days and then a drive up to NE to see DGS graduate from high school on Saturday, then back home on Sunday. Whew, then I am home for 2 weeks I think.

Haven't had a chance to go back through all the posts so hope everyone had a lovely mother's day and is doing well. Carolyn, love the group hug picture!!!

DH kept things and the cats under control while I was "across the pond" so nothing out of sorts when I got home. Flights were about 10 hours going and coming and the planes were not full so even coach was comfortable and I slept going over, it was nighttime and napped coming home so didn't even suffer from jet lag.

Everyone's flowers and gardens sound wonderful and Cindy, your yard and flowers are amazing, I used to have the energy to do that, now I just run around all the time, haha.

Haven't gotten the pictures yet from the girls, one of my DD's took her new camera and got some very good ones. We went to Windsor castle on Saturday and the Queen was in but must have been napping, she didn't wander out to say hello to us! Had high tea on Mother's day which was a very lovely experience and the people in London seem very very friendly and nice.

Busy around here getting ready to run up to NE to see DD#1 and her family and see DGS graduate from HS on Saturday, can't believe he is all grown up now. So proud of him.

Oh....Buffy: So glad you returned to us safe and sound.. I love "high tea" or any "tea"..
It's really a meal, isn't it? Too bad about the Queen napping, but I'm sure she was
exhausted after the wedding.

Wow...are you driving to NE??? Is your dgs going onto college next year?

Got may haircut, now I need a dye job. Big weather heading this way, I guess.

Oh, it is storming here now! They are calling for hail and high winds. Hail punched holes last year in my big, lime green hostas . I now have 2 beds of iris with about 70 blooms ready to bloom that I am cringing for. Rocky for the next 24 hours. We'll see!

Morning!!

What a day, yesterday!!

Cleaned the kitchen counters, the inside AND outside of the refrigerator, outside of the stove, the outside of all the cabinets, did 2 walks, watered all the flowers, and then went to DS18's Baccalaureate Mass and Senior Award Banquet!

We finally had dinner at 9:00pm!

Today is more of the same.
I need to get a walk in, haircut at 9:00am, need to get some groceries and some wine for the party Saturday night. I decided DH can be in charge of the beer and meat! Then DS18 has a cap & gown picture at 1:00, we need to go to Sam's and Kohl's while we're out.

BUT I have 3 bathrooms, the downstairs refrigerator and the kitchen floor to do also.
Tonight at 7:00 I have a Parish Council meeting.

*help*

Needless to say, I haven't even looked for a new place for my mom.
There's simply no time!

Sorry it's all about me!

Buffy, welcome back! We want to do Europe next year. Tom wants to do more of a WW2 tour.

MK, this is why you are losing weight! You are running around!

Round 1 of the storms are past. My iris won so far! Today is more storms, possible hail. I love spring but please, Mother Nature, don't ruin my hard-worked flower beds!

Hi ladies..

No storms YET today, but the day isn't over yet..

A WW2 tour would be great, I think. My guys went to the concentration camp near
Munich..Dachau and it was very sobering..

MKay: Wowoow..you are so busy. No time for lunch, I bet. Graduation weeks are busy..How fun for everyone and your baby is leaving the nest..
