Mother's Day Plans?!

Hmmmm

Saturday there is a brunch at my mom's place and Sunday I hope the minions will be doing something for me!

I plan on watching movies all day!
I have Black Swan and Despicable Me ready to go.

Dh will be in Estonia..and dd will be busy with graduations, and ds will be spending the night here on Saturday on his way back to Salina, so I might get a nice lunch with my
favorite son..

Oh..is Black Swan scary? Let me know. I don't do scary..

Beautiful day. My mom would've turned 80 today. I took Dad to breakfast and then we visited the cemetery. Then this afternoon I got my new great-grandson for about 3 hours. He's such a joy!!

Mother's Day=Breakfast with DD and Lunch with DS. It should be a wonderful day.

Black Swan is scary in a psychological type of way. I liked it but my DD and DGD and her friend hated it. Def rated R.

Still at 152 this morning..

So far, so good..Got my plants today..They only had
Juliet tomatoes left..

So I got them..I think they will be fine.

Does the ballerina turn into a black swan at the end???

Just Dance is really fun and it doesn't matter if you goof on the steps. Much easier than
Dance Dance Revolution..The old heart gets to racing for sure..

Dh and I are celebrating our 33rd anniversary. We were married 5/6/78 so he wouldn't forget..LOL. Out to dinner, then he leaves in the morning..Love em and leave em, I guess..LOL

I was still at 152..but that is okay with me..Just gotta do more "Mashed Potato" dancing.

..thanks, ladies..Brett joined us for dinner..The OK plant didn't need him this afternoon, so
he went with us..I had some great shrimp..

Dh leaves in the a.m. and Brett and I are going out for an early Mother's Day lunch.
He was going to come back to Indy after visiting his gf in Wichita tomorrow, but I told
him we would celebrate early and he didn't need to come back to celebrate on Sunday.
He can just go on up to Salina...

Happy Anniversary Carolyn!!!

I bought lots of flowers yesterday for the outdoor pots.
And I'll probably need more - but at least it's a start.

Went to a wine and appetizer party last night. Lots of fun with people we don't normally go out with!

Today is the Mother's Day celebration brunch at my mom's place.
I sent her flowers and bought her a couple of shirts.

Everyone left..except the cat..LOL..

Ds took me to lunch today and even paid..and got me a very nice card, which I will save.
Dd sent me a darling card, which I will also save.

I'm sure your mom enjoyed the flowers and the shirts..

I have named my 2 little tomato plants..Minnie and Mickey. They each have their own little red container on the deck..In 60 days, I should have a tomato..

Went to visit mom and she wouldn't get out of bed. I guess she was hitting people last night and having totally inappropriate behavior.

Not sure what we're going to do.
Nursing home?

So we left the present and flowers in her living room and went out to lunch at a restaurant. It seemed weird to eat there without her.

DS18 and i drove home. DD27 and DH did some shopping in Springfield.
I planted basil, dill and banana peppers when I came home, walked the dog and then took a long walk myself.

I'm a little stressed.

What do I do?

I bought 8 basil plants. I'll cut and freeze them all summer and I'll have basil til next summer.

Mary Kay..I totally understand what you are going through as my Mom's condition was similar to your mom's..However, she wasn't in AL, she was home, so she could swing
away and not get kicked out. and she did. I'm sure the next step will be a nursing home with an Alzheimer's unit (you definitely want that). But, it is a matter of timing, of course. Maybe you could find a nursing home nearer you..The good thing about the nursing home is that they do much more care than an AL place. But, find a good one, if you need to.

Praying for your mom and the situation..

MK, I'm so sorry about this situation with your mom. And I know that helpless, confused feeling that I'm sure you're overwhelmed with right now. I know you'll find the right place for her, but I wish it didn't have to be so hard at this point in her life, for her and for you. Please know I'll be praying for you and her, especially today. Try to relax and enjoy your Mother's Day with your children today and soak up their love and energy to aid you in the task you are facing in the next few days.
