Morning!
Ruebens are very good. When I was in Omaha last fall I had a rueben every day at Village Inn, theirs were very good. Had a busy, fun filled day with the out of town guests of DD#2. Went for a nice lunch and then shopped until about 6:30, then stopped at a local bar for 1 glass of wine for 2 of us and a green beer for the third. The place was very crowded with people enjoying St. Pat's day. I got a couple of tops at Coldwater Creek, buy 1, get 50% off and then I had a $10 coupon. One of the guests loves to shop so she had a great time, the other isn't so much into shopping so she might have gotten a little bored. I hope they take today and to the things she enjoys more. DH finally went back to the Dr. yesterday for the upper respiratory stuff he has, another round of antibiotics and steroids, hopefully this will get him over it. They also did a chest x-ray as the Dr. heard a little wheezing, hope that comes back ok.

Thunder and lightening here... ![]() Did my exercise, got my coffee,..dh is at work..Typical Saturday. How is everyone? I got dh some Breathe Right strips for his nightly snoring, which forces me into another bedroom during the night..LOL |

Slept late this morning, now must get busy and get something accomplished for today. I have been running around the past couple of days so things pile up.
Cindy, I have made those salmon muffins too, but it has been so long I can't remember much about them but her recipes are usually very good. Love your idea of the crabmeat Carolyn. Yes, everyone here is suffering from allergy symptoms. I am as well, was taking zyrtec and went into Walgreens and asked the pharmacist what to take as the zrytec wasn't doing much for me. She first said I need "D" and I told her I can't take that with my blood pressure so she recommended sudafed PE and wow, that has really done the trick. Eyes aren't nearly as itchy or watery, headache gone, head doesn't feel as stuffed up. I am also taking musinex. And, the sudafed says to take every 4 hours but I am only taking one in the am and one in the pm. So glad I went by and asked her that day. I think DH started out with allergies but it has progressed into something worse and harder to get rid of. DS is in town for a golf expo so I am going to go meet up with him tonight for dinner and to catch up on things with him. He is staying with one of his sister's as it is very close to where the expo is. He is really enjoying himself, has gotten to see old school friends, family and get in some golf, so although here for work, it has been a nice get away for him. Need to go find something light for lunch to save room for a nice dinner. I love it when cats and dogs have jobs at local business places, they do an excellent job of making people feel at home and comfortable, unless they are mean ones of course, LOL |

Oh, Carolyn, let us know how the strips work for Gary, I got them for DH a long time ago and he tried them but it didn't help much. Some nights I have to get up and roam too, once it starts bothering me it seems like it just gets louder and louder and louder....

Hi ladies..
Buffy, you are so funny..There are 2 wonderful roaming kittehs at my vets..One loves to poke Alex through the carrier holes, then sits on top of his carrier. Alex is not amused. And, we have a cat that works in the library, too. Trixie is her name.. Yup, Sudafed D is good stuff..glad you got the PE..Of course, you probably had to sign your name away and show your license. Well, I got the advanced version of the Breathe Rights...LOLOL..Let you know. |

Morning.
Oh, didn't know there were advanced breathing strips, let us know if those work. Had a nice dinner with DS last night, ordered a cheese/spinach omelet that had goat cheese in it, it was delicious. DS had the fish which was also very good. He is very anxious to get home to DDIL and Oliver, had never been away from them for this many days and it is nice to see how much he misses his family. Spring is definitely here, all the bushes and trees are blooming and it is getting pretty warm during the daytime. And, it is showing me that the house needs some good cleaning, the bright spring light lets me know my windows are dirty, carpet needs cleaned, some good old elbow grease type of cleaning is needed. Hmmmmm Wasn't the moon beautiful last night, it was so big.... |

Reporting on the Advanced Breathing Strips..It was lots better..At least I didn't have to move out during the night. They are about 50 cents a piece, so I will see how the 10
pack works, then spring for the economy size..LOL. Spring is here, too..Some green things are up in the garden. Dh planted some bushes last fall..Can't wait to see if they survived the winter. Dh working on taxes.. How fun is that.Oh...my poor Wildcats lost last night..Very sad.. |

Hi all, I've been so busy I've been MIA. More drama with Dad, plus basketball, mechanics, church, meetings, etc. And this week looks like a busy one too. The baby is doing great though so that's wonderful! I'm so thankful for that. There was a new baby at church today that was born Friday and he weighed 10#4oz!! That's twice as much as our baby did last Friday! He was a c-section too. Thank goodness for the momma, I'm sure, lol.
Those muffins sound great. Do all of you put the green peppers in them? I don't always like them in baked foods?? But the onions sound good.

Morning.
So happy your baby is doing fine Sandy. Cute comic MK, I am already pulling spring clothes out of the other closet and wearing them, getting into the 80's here during the day so my "other" season clothing is too warm, I keep grabbing hangers of those clothes and taking them to the other closet and bringing some spring/summer ones back to my closet. And I need to thin out again and get rid of the ones I keep and never wear. I haven't even started on our taxes yet, I just want to do the fun things anymore, none of the boring worky things. |

Hi gals..
Well, forget about those nose things..Last night they didn't work and I moved.. Gorgeous day here..I'm starting to run a minute or two on the treadmill..I need to build my stamina up cuz I have none..Then I run on the deck, too..but I get so darned winded.. Sad funeral tomorrow for our friend who died in Hawaii..His wife was at church and we talked to her and she still can't believe it..He was 61 and they worked together at their heating business.. Glad the baby is going great.. He turned out to be a normal sized kid, too. Made some Dixie Diner Strawberry Muffins today for the week..I am going to mix some SF strawberry jam and cream cheese for the frosting. I will freeze them.

Yes, I think red bell pepper adds so much zip to things..
Our friend had just gone to the doctor a few weeks ago..However, flying in a plane for a long time can cause blood clots, I'm afraid, can't they, Nurse Cindy? |

Oh yes! Anytime I fly a distance, I take a baby aspirin a day before, the day of the flight and then the same coming home. Or you can just pop a couple of 325 mg a few hours before. I was always careful to do that.

Carolyn, didn't you say your friend had just gotten off a cruise when this happened? Do they think it was from the flight? I always worry about that too so I always exercise my ankles. Plus running to the bathroom keeps me from sitting for real long periods of time.

Wow, that makes me think about my flight to London coming up, I will take your advice on the aspirin Cindy and be sure and get up during the flight. Our first one is at night though so will probably or hopefully sleep during it.
Here it is, 3:12 AM and I have been awake for over an hour. Either can't get enough sleep or can't sleep, gee whiz. |

Morning!
So - DS22 brought his GF home with him for Spring Break. I'm happy about that, but it means I don't have ANY time alone with DS22!! We usually go to lunch together, the store, etc. I almost feel like I should apologize to my MIL for taking her son away . . . . ![]() I do feel better that I insist that DH spend time alone with his mom whenever we go back to KC! |

I feel your pain, MK. I rarely see my son alone and I miss that a lot.
Busy day ahead. Dr. with Dad, errands, etc. then bunco tonight. At least that part will be fun. Except they're calling for bad storms tonight. I always like to be home when it's storming. I hate tornadoes. |
