Hi ladies..
Off to Tulsa and to see The King's Speech..We had to hunt to find that movie.. I'm not in the mood for clothes shopping, but dh needs some pants. Pants that don't have to be drycleaned would be nice.. Up to 153, but I think it's water weight from salt... Anyone having any special fun today? I got myself one of those Sleep on your side pillows (TV). It is very comfortable and I don't find myself flipping as much. |

That will be kind of sad when it's over MK but enjoy it today. Maybe someday you'll have a grandchild who likes to swim. My oldest grandson did for a while but then tired of it. I was sad then too. I love watching swimming, diving, etc.
Carolyn, enjoy your day. We have a birthday party for a close friend this evening at Carraba's. That spells trouble for me! Lol. |

Morning!
Wow, 16 years of swim meets comoing to an end, probably both a sigh of relief and sadness. My oldest DD's 2nd child graduates this spring and she and I were talking about this new stage in her life. The King's Speech is awesome. You will be so happy you drove to see it. Carraba's sounds sooo good, I am hungry right now, haha. I am meeting up with some friends at the casino tonight, we have a good time when several of us meet there to eat, and have fun. No concert tonight so hopefully it won't be too crowded or smoky.

My brand new dishwasher is not washing the dishes well. And it's 5 days past the 30 days, grrrr. Neb. Furn is working with me though and a service guy is coming Wed. I've only run it maybe 5 times since I got it and it's never done a very good job but I was so busy getting ready to go away I just let it slip away. I hope I don't have to pay for that busyness now. I also forgot to send in the rebate form for it and it had to be postmakred by Feb 15 so $50 gone! Grrrr.

Hi ladies..
Loved The King's Speech.. Sandy: You might only need a cleaning of the filter..That's what happened to me. I hadn't rinsed my dishes perfectly.. I hate when you have to send things in...I think the stores should do it for you..Back to the King's Speech..Colin Firth looks just like Bill Self, doesn't he? Buffy: How old is your oldest grandchild and how young is your youngest? You have such a range of cuteness.. Didn't weigh today..Had a popcorn moment at the movie, though.. Gary read that many Borders Stores were closing... ![]()

![]() Did Spin this morning - we rode 36 miles and it says i burned over 1200 calories! I hope it's true!! Then I told DD24's BF's mom that I'd go to Indy with her to pick up her car. I may regret this later - 3 hour trip each way, + dinner, + we can't leave until 2:30 . . . . Going to be a late night, after an early morning! |

I've only washed 5 loads of dishes at the very most in my new dishwasher so surely the filter isn't dirty? My plastic stuff isn't flying everywhere either so I think something is not working properly.
We just got back from a long walk with Bailey. It got cloudy halfway through it though and got a bit chilly. I broke the news to my grandson today that I was not going to be the full time babysitter for the new baby. I told him I want to be the fill in and just a great-grandma. I think he took it well. I hope so. I just don't think I could take care of a baby every single day for at least 9 hours a day and I'm pretty sure I don't really want to either. I seem to be crazy busy all the time now, how would I do it with a baby full time???? Plus I was just putting the carseat into the car to see if I could operate it and it wore me out!!! Without a kid in it, lolol. I'm not in "baby shape" anymore, lol. |

Hello Everyone
I 'pre-weighed' today and have dropped, but tomorrow morningis the real thing. I'll report. This was birthday week and I had one meal that was not LC with the addition of beans and rice and corn cake. Had one birthday party lunch with 'fritos' on my taco salad. That's all I did. I make the 3 min. choc cake and dipped large strawberries in SF choc. ganache. If I loose this week, I will know that I can add strawberries once in awhile. I see that you are all awesome exercisers. I do water aerobics MWF but last week it was to chilly and windy. Will be back on tomorrow for the weigh in report.

Morning
Glad you liked the King's Speech Carolyn, it is a great movie. Wow, MK, you are a spinning fool but wow, what great exercise. No flab on you!! Sandy, my kitchenaid is like 15 years old, I seldom rinse my dishes and only run it like twice a week and my dishes come out spotless. Something wrong with that dishwasher for sure. My kids all rinse all their dishes off, etc. and I suppose you should but my kitchenaids have always done a superior job. It is disgusting when you open it up and I haven't run it through the cycle yet, but I don't have to rinse. Barbo, you did great on a birthday week and to still lose sounds really great. I had a fun time at the casino and even won a little money. boy, was it crowded and noisy on Sat. night but our little group had a good time. DGS 11 is here today, no school so he spent the night last night. |

Hi ladies..
I saw the snow heading up north..We were lucky and didn't have anything but 30 degree temps. Sandy, Sandy...So glad you told your grandson that you weren't the permanent babysitter. I was surprised that he thought you would do that. Hopefully, they can find someone who does this for a living.. On the dishwasher..you got a lemon, I think...Let's hope they can fix it.. Barbo: Birthday weeks are hard, but sounds like you did great.. MK:What are you going to do on your Saturdays???? It will be a nice break for everyone as your ds chooses his college..Does he know which one yet?? Buffy: I hate to rinse, too.. Glad you were a winner at the casino.. |

DGS just remembers how much he enjoyed being at our house through his growing up years. Of course I was 20-25 years younger then, lol. I told him I was honored that he thought I could do it but that I just didn't feel capable myself and wasn't comfortable doing it full-time. I sure hope they find a good sitter.

Hi..
And...welcome back, Cindy.. Sandy, your dgs had great memories with you and that is great..Now you can enjoy being a ggrandma..I think you are "ahead" of us here..Buffy isn't a ggrandma yet.. I don't know about Barbo, though.. Of course, some of us aren't even grandmas.. ![]() Oh..Barbo..162 is wonderful..So proud of you..I like to break the "decades", too.. Loyola is a great school and there is that wonderful Chicago experience when families visit.. Did my exercise, got some coffee, then on to Bible Study..Our Hallmark store is going out of business as the owners are retiring..30 percent off all cards..I need to make a list of the cards I need, then not lose them. Dh heading to Houston where it will be 75. |

Yes Cindy, I've heard this too but I was using the same detergent in my old machine as in my new one and the new one just isn't cleaning!! If it's not going to clean the dishes any better than that I'll go back to handwashing and put a trash compactor in that spot.

Hello!
Late checking in today, been messing around too much. Welcome back Cindy, hope you had a great time. Sandy, I don't blame you for saying no to your grandson on the babysitting. I don't want to be tied down full time and it is very tiring taking care of the little ones. I am going to stay with DD#2's 2 little ones for a week in March but will have the nanny there to help full time, so it will be fun and not so tiring. She doesn't stay over but is there most of the time. 2 and 1 are very busy little ages. Barbo, 162 is awesome, great job. Carolyn, hmmm, going to meet the girlfriend, how fun. Now, be nice, haha. Even is she isn't good enough for your son! Just kidding! MK, chicago is a great city to visit so I am sure your son will enjoy school there. Have to pick up DGS 11 at 5:30 and take him to baseball practice, but otherwise, home today getting laundry and odds and ends caught up. |

Yes the service man comes in the a.m. I have the DW full and ready to run. It takes about a week for us to fill it up, lol so yes it's really easier to just wash them myself but for some reason DH thinks I need one.
Carolyn, how fun is that! I can't wait to hear the report. I'm off to bunco tonight as a sub for a group I've never played with before. I know half the gals though so I'm sure it'll be great fun. |

Do you still have your tonsils? I like gargling with either warm salt water or a good mouth wash like Listerine and gargle to get really back there.
