Sandy: Hey, try Lifetime for a month and see if you use it. I find I do much better if I go to my faux Curves every day..I like exercising with other people..Classes are fun..and my friend loves Zumba..
I'm afraid the Wildcats will get trampled by the Jayhawks tonight.. Yup, Brett went to Wichita, took her out to lunch, then they went to a museum, then out to a German restaurant, then to a movie..LOL..That was their Valentine's Saturday. LOL. |

I checked out the class schedule closely and really I don't think it's going to work for me. Not right now anyway. Oh well, back to my old gym and my lonely workout, lol.

Nice Valentines' Day here..Kansas State whipped KU so they were celebrating in Manhattan.. Back to Bible Study..It will be good to catch up with the girls. |

Morning peeps!
LOL @ gym, aren't we supposed to call them Fitness centers now? Recently when I went to a beauty event I called the place a beauty shop, they looked at me in horror, it is a salon now, not a beauty shop. They are stylists, not beauticians. Lots of terms that have changed since we were younger. Well, had a whirlwind weekend with the kids and had a great time. It went by way too fast of course and I was worn out at the end but it was so fun. The baby has really grown and was held, hugged and admired by all to the delight of his proud mama and papa. Welcome back Sandy, I love your picture too and I am sure you had a wonderful time. DH took me out Sunday night for our anniversary/valentines dinner and it was awesome, on the 27th floor of a hotel in Dallas, so a beautiful skyline to have dinner by. Great food, small portions so we really enjoyed it and didn't stuff ourselves. This afternoon I pick up DGS 11 for his allergy shot, then off for a snack and take him to baseball practice. Tomorrow night is dinner club with my gal pals and Friday is haircut/color so another week will fly by. Glad our little experience with winter is over and I know the rest of you are.

Yes, the Cats certainly kicked the Hawks butt out of town, didn't they? They were #1 for less than 24 hours, lol. I hope they can climb back up though.
We had so many good meals in PV it's hard to pick only one. We had wonderful red snapper dishes, chorizo and egg breakfasts, fish tacos, chili rellenos, beach vendor food, street tacos. I'm hard pressed to say what was my favorite. And we have a list of the places we STILL haven't tried for next year. PV is full of wonderful restaurants and great food and after 6 years 8 trips there we still haven't gotten to them all. But we're sure trying, lol. DH surprised me with a dozen roses when he came home yesterday. He left me my card in the morning and like I said, I got jewelry in MX so I was very surprised by the flowers. They're like Windsor roses in color. I'm not sure they're actually a Windson rose but my fav flower color is yellow and these are mostly yellow with the red/rose colored touches running through them. Carolyn, are you talking about my pics on Facebook? Or my avi? Both are from Mexico, just the FB ones are newer. Buffy, your dinner sounds wonderful!

Hi ladies..
Yes, "fitness centers"..we have to be "correct" in our terms..Gym is where you box and do boy stuff.. Sandy: I saw your facebook pictures.. tummy bugs..We went to Cancun once with a bunch of peeps and half of them got really sick..They ate the salads/drank the water, etc.. Your flowers sound beautiful. What a view you had, Buffy.. We are all lucky to have nice dh's, aren't we???

Yup, we're old-timers now. We eat the salads AND drink the water with no problemo. I take probiotics year around though so I wonder if that helps a little. The first couple times we went we had a few tummy issues but nothing major.

BarboMorning everyone! My house is so much messiuer, more of the time than it used to be. I used to make sure I picked up and put everything away neatly before bed each night and when I came home from shopping, etc. Now it sometimes is messy for a day or two until I "feel" like straightening it up or have the energy/wants to do so. Much more relaxed about it than I used to be, or maybe I have become more lazy ![]() Sandy, your vacation and roses and all the great meals sound wonderful. I don't think you and I are friends on facebook either, I think I just am with Carolyn and MK from our little beehive here. Went to a Japanese steakhouse for dinner club last night, very good but the waitress wasn't very professional, then because half of us paid in cash and the other half CC's, she thought we stiffed her on her tip, b/c half of us hadn't figured it onto our bill and she came back and slapped it on the table and said here is "all" that is left over instead of taking the cash that was there. Unfortunately no-one at the door even asked how our service, meal, etc. was. Their reviews have said the same, good food but poor service, they will have to get it together to make it where they are. Carolyn, that gal is doing great on Atkins, hope she realizes this is the honeymoon part of it, unless she is one of the very very lucky ones whose weight just melts off on atkins. And doesn't become solid again and find her ![]() Seems like it is past time for me to go to dentist but I haven't gotten my reminder yet. Hair cut/color tomorrow. Weariing it short, I need trims more often. I have been eating too much "junk" lately and feel yucky because of it. Why, since we feel so good when we eat clean, don't we want to eat clean all of the time????? Have a great day everyone! |

Hi gals..
I will see the gal who is on Atkins tomorrow and chat with her a bit to encourage her.. I thought MY house was the only messy one here. It was quite clean when I was snowbound and going nowhere..LOL.. Good grief, Buffy....How unprofessional is that? Alot of peeps include tips in their card.. Of course, sometimes the waitress can change the amount..(have you heard that?) I'm kind of in the Coconut Milk/Oil tread again..I have the best book called Stop Alzheimers Now by Dr. Fife and he talks about how LC diets/coconut oil can really help AD patients. One man was practically cured of AD by eating 2-3 Tbs. a day.. It's amazing.. Jimmy Moore will have Dr. Fife on a podcast and I will let you all know when. |

Will look up that book by Dr. Fife, I always say low fat diets were the doorm of us all.
I guess it would be easy to change the tip, hadn't thought of that. The night we went out to dinner we had a coconut milk/cauliflower chilled soup that was amazing. Sandy and I are now "friends" on FB, thanks Sandy. I hadn't heard of this but a friend on FB sent me an email suggesting that I befriend a mutual friend on FB. ?? This was a guy, the one he suggested is actually a lady whom I used to be friends with and our friendship cooled, shall we say. I really don't want to friend her but then that makes me look rude??? I wish he hadn't of done that. I will do nothing at this time, haha. |

I'd just ignore it too Buffy.
And I've actually had the server change the tip amount and when I called the restaurant to complain they had already heard from lots of other customers and refunded everybody's money and of course had fired the server. I keep close tabs on my receipts. |

Hi ladies..
I got up early to go to the gym as the owner had vein surgery and I was the babysitter for a little while..So, I did a whole hour of stuff.. MK: I saw that TRX thing on tv..Is it hard??? On the changing tip thing..it was on tv..When you add your tip on to your charge, be sure to add it up yourself..Or leave the tip on the table and write the total on the bottom... Doing laundry.. |

Carolyn - it's as hard or easy as you make it - it's all body weight and the angle.
The more you increase the angle, the harder it gets. Got it about the tip. I always put a total down, so I guess they couldn't increase the tip without changing everything. Phew! |
