Wow, that surprises me, I assume you checked dermatologist's offices?
Cindy, I knew you used the retin a but didn't know you used the Obagi, it is amazing stuff, isn't it? I do buy some of the products off ebay but like you say, a couple of parts you can't get otc. I am sure they photoshopped the 2 pictures together. I know they work with one child at a time. They normally won't let the mother's go back but my granddaughter just light up when her mommy is around, so they let her go back with her. I am sure some mothers can be a real pain to have around. My daughter is just doing it for fun, so doesn't care if they get work or not, just thought if they did, it would be fun to have the pictures in their memory books. She sent some pictures of the kids to a big agency here in Dallas, they contacted her to bring them in and had contracts in hand when they got there, of course that only means they put their pictures out there, may or may not ever get called or pictures used, but Ava did and Bobby has gone on some shoots too. My daughter doesn't have to work and has a nanny so she has the time to mess with it. At this stage, the pay doesn't hardly cover the gas to get there and back, haha.

Absolutely...I will keep the garage door open all day tomorrow in case the UPS shows up.
Dh salted our front porch, but at -4, it is not melting very quickly. I'm staying home again..No need to go out for me. I need to get a baby shower gift for Saturday, but I still have a few days. No school here..We have some county roads that the buses need to travel on to pick up kids and they are still a mess.. Akk..was up 2 pounds. I think it was those LC peanut butter cookies I made yesterday. I had too many samples.. ![]() I watched Mrs. Bradley on Instant Netflix..very good..

Morning.
No changes here, still iced in and no school again today. DGS decided he would go home last night so DH took him home. DH didn't have to get out to work but he was going stircrazy after the first day so found places he had to go but in a 4 wheel drive dually, so well equipped. Me, I am pretty content to stay home for several days at a time, hardly get this opportunity and thankfully, didn't have any thing planned for this week. I am sure by the thaw on Sat. though that I will be ready to get out and about. My chicken and dumplings turned out good, but I cheated and just used bisquick. There was a recipe in the paper yesterday for Texas sheet cake which I had DH get the buttermilk for, if I make it I will have to freeze most of it quick. Dangerous to have around when you are iced in, LOL. I watched 2012 last night with John Cusak, it was actually much better than I had expected, lots of action of course but kept me entertained. Then watched the last taped episode of Parenthood. Yesterday I worked on my closet, needs some cleaning and organizing in there. You know I am a makeup and skincare junkie and save every sample I get, so I was organizing them into brands and or areas they work on. Not sure what all I am going to work on today. All the latest books I have are on my Iphone and I hate to waste them on just istting around listening, I like to use them in the car. Stay warm everyone. Oh Cindy, your house is beautiful and wow, what a workout on that driveway, you girls are awesome with your snow scooping!!! |

Hi everyone and dasiey..
I bought my beans at Sweet Maria's on-line. There are tons of kinds and you can get a sampler if you are not sure what to buy. Dasiey..We are pretty loosey goosey with the plan. However, the basic plan is to watch your protein and only have between 60-80ish grams a day. This depends on your body size. If you are taller and have more muscles, you can eat a bit more than 80. Don't sweat the fat..but don't eat high carb. Barry says you can eat 40ish or so or 60 carbs, but this is definitely individual. I try to stay around 30, myself.. Buffy: Are we having a thaw on the weekend? I love that you organize your makeup into "areas" they work on.. Important news: For those of us with young adults who live by themselves...If they get sick and feel icky for more than a couple of days, they need to go to a doctor. I just learned of a 30 year old's death (family friends) who died because he had the flu and didn't get help. In fact, he worked at a hospital, too. So sad..He wasn't living with his folks..on his own.. He was a very sweet guy..So, remember his parents..Robbin and Jay in your prayers, please.Last edited by CarolynF; 02-03-2011 at 02:58 PM.. |

Dasiey - there are stickie notes about the plan too! We're off to Indy today for DS18's swim meet. I WAS going stir crazy and luckily a friend came along with a 4WD and we went to lunch yesterday. It was a big help! Off to the gym - finally! |

Morning.
Hmmm, I swear I wrote here before bed last night and it is gone. Anyway, DD#2 kids and DH have the flu. The little boy was running a fever, went to the Dr. and has ear infections but he also tested positive for type A. Ava started running fever Wed. night so Dr. put her on tamiflu yesterday, DD is on tamiflu and DSIL is at his parents's house and has been sick, so assuming he has it too. DD called him and told him to get his paren't on tamiflu asap due to thier age. So sorry to hear about the young man you knew Carolyn. OK, I think I can stay home longer than anyone and even I am beginning to want to get out. Will check out the movies and if there is one I want to go to, will make DH drop me off. He won't go to a movie but he can be my driver. We are getting yet more snow today, unheard of in Dallas. Supposed to be over 40 the next couple of days though, so I assume we will get rid of this but maybe are getting more next week. |

Hi ladies..
Got out for the first time since Monday..and I got stuck in the WalMart parking lot. It was a mess..Went in and one of the cartboys along with a kindly young man pushed me out. It's best to go "forward" with a Camry..Home safe and sound. The roads are a mess..we have bad plowers here. Yup, a friend has kids in Dallas and they are getting snow..which is a big shock.. MK: Be careful driving to Indiana..Wave to Dasiey when you go by. Dasiey: We are so glad you are here..The best thing is to buy Barry's book, Natural Health and Weight Loss..It is excellent. I think you might have to order it from Amazon in Canada..or maybe it is down here now. My new coffee roaster won't be here until Monday, so I don't have to worry about the UPS delivery guy falling down delivering my coffee stuff. |

Did not end up going out, no movies sounded good enough to get out for. Still working on my closet and a couple of loads of laundry. Had DH stop for ground beef so I can make a meatloaf for dinner tonight.
Dasiey, the book is very good information to read and know. |

Meatloaf sounds nice and comforting for a winter's meal. Dh called and was wondering if I wanted to go out for dinner..It's 5:00 and I had something planned, so I said no..It's not like there are wonderful places to go and one snowing adventure was enough for me.

Cindy, 13-14 for us, too. The town isn't great on snowplowing, though. I think they have one truck...no kidding..
I refrained from my LC peanut butter cookies today. Hopefully, the scale will reward me. Last edited by CarolynF; 02-04-2011 at 05:37 PM.. |

Been really looking on the guide on tv this week for movies and have seen some good ones. Tonight i watched Brothers which was great, then one I had never hear of called Pirate Radio and it was really good. Now, off to bed and hope I sleep better than last night. I think I am too rested up now, haha.

Dd gave her dad Netflix for his birthday. I am enjoying the instant netflix through my
Wii..I love Sherlock and the other British mysteries. I am almost through watching Collison..Great mystery in 5 or 6 parts. Hey, guess what? Too many carbs and you gain weight..LOL. I stopped my LC peanut butter cookies and was back to 152 this morning.. Hope everyone is staying safe. Does Sandy get home today? I hope one of her kiddos shoveled her driveway. Anyone watching the Super Bowl tomorrow? |

There are a number of things I strongly limit due to them being to calorie dense. I easily can over eat peanut butter! I watch cheese, butter, nut butters and nuts. Bacon, for some reason, is self limiting and I don't know why. I can easily eat 800 calories of walnuts or peanut butter but am hard pressed to eat 400 calories of bacon. Maybe the extreme saltiness!

Drinking a bottle of wine over the past two nights (because I am snowed in) can cause weight gain!!! Who'd of thunk????? LOL
It really is a constant state of monitoring to just maintain isn't it gals. Well, this is supposed to start the great thaw of 2011 in Dallas and the sun is out but it has its work cut out for it. So far, every thing just looks the same outside. |

Cindy: These cookies have a stick of butter and 1/2 cup of peanut butter in them and I made them big...So, for 15 cookies, there are alot of calories for sure. It was a Big
Train mix. Supposedly having around 5-7 net carbs a piece.. LOL..Did you drink the whole bottle yourself, Buffy??? You didn't share with your dh? The sun is out..I have to get ready for the baby shower. I'm sure I will be parking in a snowbank. |

DH not a wine drinker, so yes, between the 2 nights I drank the whole bottle, but, it was just a normal, regular size, not a box or gallon or something like that, LOL. Easy when you are watching a movie and sipping on it.

I have wine in my ****** and almost all are 22 calories per ounce. I looked at a bottle and it said 0.8 liters so that is 800 milliliters and there are 30 ml to an ounce (I'm doing this in my head so I may be wrong) so 26 ounces times 22 calories an ounce is about 580 calories. Wait, that doesn't sound like a lot divided between 2 nights. I hold onto weight when I drink wine, even when I count the calories, I don't know why.

I like Cindy's suggestion the best.
![]() ![]() Morning. Nice, sunny 37 degrees in Dallas today. I was going to drive to Austin but then they called for rain/snow mix later today, and on and off the next 3 days so I finally just told the kids I would come next weekend with the DD's. Maybe I can stay a couple of extra days then. DD#3 and DSIL are having a Super Bowl party that we will go to later tdoay. |
