Hi gang! Home from the cruise Sunday night to find company from Iowa had dropped in, actually they called DH on Sat. to ask if it was ok, they were on their way home from New Orleans and heard all the snow that was forecast for the midwest.

They just left this morning but yesterday Marcia and I went to see The King's Speech which was very good.

Had an amazing tme on the cruise with my sister and 4 of her friends who are now my friends as well, what a great group they were. And, I gained 0 lbs, I was amazed, I really did not watch it at all, except for making sure I ate protein with carbs, what I am supposed to do for my diabetes, etc. my first cruise and I will definitely go on more, I loved it.

I will get back over the last week as soon as I can and catch up on all of your news, hope everyone is doing great.

Zero pounds is wonderful.. I'm sure that cruise had so many wonderful LC foods, that it was easier than normal.. Glad you are home safe and sound.

Our MK is so techno smart..

Did my exercise, now Bible Study...Dinner out at a Mexican restaurant..NO CHIPS..I'm going to say that all afternoon..I find when I do repeat this to myself, it makes a huge difference and I can resist..

Brett found out that he has to work the 40 hours, but he can work 10 hours a day for
4 days if he needs to take an interview day off. Dh and I thought it was really a good
deal for him..

Carolyn, I did Mexican today at Jose Peppers. Grilled Mahi tacos, no beans or rice but I did eat 2 of their 6" flour tortillas that the fish comes on. Very good! I love fish tacos as long as it isn't battered dipped. Cabbage, avocado, super hot salsa.....ok, I want to go back!:blush:

I didn't gain anything from eating Mexican last night. However, I did have a few chips, but a very tiny dinner, so it balanced out, I think. Sort of.

Dianne and I are doing some WWagon calls today..We took a few months off.. I love this job.

Dh is supposed to fly to NH today for business. However, there is a huge snowstorm
to hit them today, so don't know if he'll go. He's flown into the big snowstorm in MA,
the ice storm in GA, now this. Although they are taking the company plane, so the
pilots may not want to fly into the huge snowstorm..They are very "careful"..and don't have a death wish...

Off to exercise, read, and work with a lunch in between.

I did it!! Well, Dottie did it. "Always on, slightly off" is from the cable channel AMC. We watched it a lot with the zombie series, The Walking Dead. Not that I'm into zombies but it was a series that put AMC back on the map.

One of the other gals took pictures and I haven't gotten any copies yet, will proof them before I decide if I will post any, LOL. We really didn't take many. Too busy just relaxing and or having fun and or eating.
Company left yesterday morning so I got about half the laundry done, the mail sorted through and am about 3/4 unpacked. So, should be able to finish all that today.
Have a facial tomorrow so want to get things caught up before I go there so I can totally relax and enjoy that, then meeting a BFF for dinner tomorrow night. Have invited DGS11 to come on Saturday and spend the night so we can catch up on our together time and then next week want to get down to see the 2 and 1 year old and then on to Austin to see the new baby. All the peeps on the cruise with me have grandchildren but they don't live nearby, and made me realize that a lot of my time is spent with my grandkids, which I love doing but explains why I feel like I am so busy all the time. But, that is what I choose to do with my time, so I wouldn't change that for anything. DGS 2 called me the night I got home from the cruise, they were reading bedtime stories and one of the books was about boats and had a picture of a cruise ship on it and he called to see if I was on that boat, so cute.
I can't lose weight or get any smaller, thus I wouldn't have enough room in me to contain all the love I have for these little people in my life, LOL.
Cindy, sounds like your trip was COLD! Hope you had a good time and get some good sleep from your new pills.
MK, I would love and truly would need to have a decorator to make my house really pretty, as it is now, it is comfy looking, which is fine, but I do think a decorator can really make a house beautiful, I didn't get that gene.
Carolyn, you threw me for a minute when you mentioned Brett taking time for interviews, until I realized he was on an internship basis. My niece is loving her internship and really hoping she gets a job offer here.
Sandy, do you still follow along on the flylady thread? I know that really helps people stay organized and motivated, or at least that is what I hear, haha.
It is very pretty and sunny here this morning but 27 degrees, so it is cold out but as long as we don't have to battle ice or snow I am fine with some cold.

Hi,

You are a lucky Mema, Buffy..I think it is great that grandkids can get to know their
grandparents..I know Sandy's grandkids are close, too..

This is a 6 month internship, hoping to extend to a job offer, but you never know.
So, this was a place he sent his resume before he got the Schwan's job. He called
them yesterday and all the interview slots were full...I was kinda glad as it would
be in Indiana and hard to get to when you only have one day..

MK: Wow..lots of driving is exhausting..

Cindy: What pills are you taking??? Has Rose's fur grown back yet?

No NH for dh today, but they plan on going tomorrow if the pilots will fly.
I think they are having 10 inches of snow there, so I doubt if they will go
at all..Just sayin'

Busy busy busy around here. And yes, I love having all my kids and grandkids so close. It's all I've ever known and I'd be devastated if any of them decided to move away. I enjoy them all so much.

Ambien CR which is the controlled release Ambien. I have used regular Ambien when traveling to another time zone but often wake up at 2 am since regular Ambien wears off after 4 hours. Sleep is a good thing. Yes Rose is no longer a "baldy butt" like my BF called her!

I'm the resident expert for LCing at my exercise place. Two peeps are interested and I gave them my new Atkins book. It is not as drastic and easier to read than the older,
more intellectual ones. I hope they stick with it or at least start it.

Dh made it to NH..The plane probably landed amidst the snowbanks..LOL.

Cindy: Sleep is a good thing..Glad you are getting regulated. Glad Rose has her winter
clothes on..

It is warmish here, too..But "they" say that the first of the week will be bad..

Milwaukee is full of art..also Chicago, of course. Freelance writers work everywhere, so I'm sure she will find something if she moves there..

I hate chopped up days, too. I like to get everything done in the morning, but sometimes it doesn't happen..What kind of cookies are you making?

Dh should be home tonight, so we will finish up the leftovers and the asparagus I bought
the other day..

Exercise and Walgreens this morning and getting Alex his two prescriptions.. meow.
