No way is that me on that bull; that's my oldest DGD. Now she's the fearless one!! And always has been.
It's snowing like crazy here. Ugh!! I'm sure Bible study will be canceled tomorrow morning. And I actually did my lesson too, lol. MK, can I be nosy and ask how much a decorator charges for an hour worth of ideas and opinions? And where did you find her? |

I think everything here has been canceled so maybe she lucked out and can stay in. It took DH an hour and 45 minutes to get here from downtown. That's usually about a 20-25 minute drive! And it's still snowing!!

I hope she doesn't have to go out..
I heard on the news that you might get 9 inches of snow..Good grief. We are only having 4 inches and it is coming from OK later on. My friend's dh was driving from Wichita to Newton and it was really bad. Glad your dh made it home safely. I called my broken wrist friend and she decided not to go to get her hair done tomorrow. I told her dh would have the car and the pickup won't go in snow..I was relieved. Stay safe everyone...Remember Buffy on her cruise..

Sigh. Buffy is on a cruise! *jealous*
But happy for Buffy! ![]() Sandy - I think she normally charges $75 an hour. The newspaper has been running "Hot Deals" and offering discounts on services, restaurants, etc. So I snagged an hour for $25. TRX class today and a couple of errands if the roads are good, otherwise, home to clean! Two more inches of snow on the ground and 2-3 more to come today! At least it covered up the glaze of ice from yesterday! |

I decided to skip the gym today. I shoveled the sidewalk and driveway for an hour though (of course it's already covered again!
) But at least it's walkable! |

No gym for me as the truck is like a "pig on ice"..(so to speak).
Hmmm..I ordered some of that ERFA from Canada for my thyroid. Honestly, I don't think it worked very well as I couldn't get below 154..So, I have some Westhroid left, and I lost a pound overnight going back to my Westhroid. I'll call my pharmacy for a refill. Hopefully, all our "guys" got to work safely this morning. We have a bit of ice under the snow..not good. My friend had a decorator do her whole house in IA..It was amazing..However, they are selling the big one and building a smaller one..I'm sure she will use the same decorator. In the long run, it saves alot of experimenting. |

Hi..
I'm the first one here..We are late risers.. I am packing a box for Brett..He forgot to pack his scale..Hmm..where is that thing? I can't seem to find it in the other boxes he left here with school stuff..One more look, then he can get a new one. You can never have too many scales, you know.. Made some apple crisp with a chayote squash cooked in SF apple cider..Looks pretty good. |

Hi,
The apple crisp was fine. My topping is golden flax meal, coconut flour (tiny), low carb bake mix, butter, cinnamon, etc..I usually use almond flour in place of the LC mix. It is really a ball park amount. I had made some LC ice cream, so it did need something on the top.. Cindy: No skiing pictures??? Akkk..My cat meows to get me up at 5, so I give him his meds with food, but he doesn't give up after he eats. I shut the bedroom door and the little stinker is meowing outside and throwing himself against the door. So, I got up at 6 and fed him his crunchies, and now he is happy and sleeping somewhere while I am awake.. Dh doesn't hear a thing...LOL. We are mailing ds's package today. Dh has to carry it to the PO, then we will go for breakfast, he will go to work (normal on a Saturday), and I will go exercise.. Hope everyone is okay..When is Buffy coming back I wonder??? |

Morning!
It is bitterly cold here. We're hoping for highs in the 20's today!! DD24's BF has a real job! And it's in WI!! They sent him the paperwork, so he has to fill it out and get it all back to them. They're finishing up the background check and then . . . . No clue on a start date yet. So - this means someday if/when they get married, DD would only be 6 hours from me instead of 16!! ![]() No plans this morning. Tonight is church, and then couples night out! We're going to dinner, movie (True Grit) and a night cap with friends. He's the managing editor of the paper and always fun to talk to! Carolyn - what if you put crunchies out for the cat the night before?? We always have dry food out for the cats. Cindy - my digital shows 1/10 pounds. Nice to lose .anything!

And I love my digital scale-it's so nice to see the tiny losses that don't show up on a regular scale. |

Hi,
Yipeee for dbf's job.. degrees, etc..It is very interesting.. Yes, Alex has his crunchies left out all night. However, his special food with his meds in it is FFeast. I only give him a tiny bit because the meds have to go to his tummy before lots of food goes down..Wait an hour, then feed him crunchies..all day..He is a special needs kitteh because of his kidney problems..However, the good news is that he gobbles up his special med/food. I love my digital scale, too....I can see the numbers. |

Saw True Grit last night. It was good..Hard to understand Jeff Bridges and it was a bit bloody.. but it was pretty good..Gosh, bad day for Kansas basketball..Texas is really good this year, unfortunately.. Hope you have a great day..Off to church, etc..We are supposed to get some snow..just when our other stuff melted. |

The baby shower was fantastic. Those young girls are so creative; I was very impressed with the wonderful event they pulled off. They should start a party planning business. They both told me it was way too stressful to do it very often, lol. It was perfect! And she got lots of very nice stuff too so now all we have to do is wait for the baby to get here.

I had a Dad day today. I only had to take him grocery shopping so that didn't take too long. The thing that bothers me is I'm the only one he asks to take him anywhere unless I just make him ask my brother.
My weight is doing well. I held my own through the weekend again, even with the baby shower. I'll post my monthly weight on Friday a few days early b/c I'll be gone on the first. |

Hi gals.
Oh...baby showers are fun. Glad it was a big success..I have to go to one in Feb. Our children's pastor's wife is PG with her 4th child..a little boy..She is 43 and her kids are 18,16, and 8, so no boy clothes left as the youngest one is a girl.. Sandy, I'm sure your dad likes YOU to take him because you will do it. I remember taking Betty to the store..It's a good thing you are doing.. AKKK..Brett got a call from the Naval Defense place in Indiana..They want to interview him this week..He called his dad and his dad told him to ask his boss what the policies were for interns to interview for other jobs during their 6 month employment. Of course, Brett told the ND place that he wasn't free until July and they said that was okay. So, who knows??? Interviews don't mean job offers, do they? However, he can't wait until July to start looking for permanent work in case this doesn't work out longterm.. This stuff makes me have ulcers sometimes..I have to give it to God and not worry.. Yeah for your weight, Sandy.. I was 153...I have been drinking more black tea..It's supposed to help with WL. |

Carolyn - that's great! I hope the interviews keep coming!
Sandy - My weight is up! I'm not sure how it happened - so I'm going to pay attention for the next few days! Enjoy the shower!! |

Hi,
Brett's boss said as long as he gets his 40 hours in, he can take time off for interviews as he understands the process..He can do some long days.. Paying attention is so important. Business dinner out tomorrow night...Since dh's boss is no longer in charge because of the stroke, things are different..We've never had a business dinner out in 13 years..LOL |
