Hi gals.

Are you leaving from FL? or Houston? Dh's company shares a private jet with a company in Wichita. Dh's boss (who had the stroke) was rather large and didn't want to wait around in airports. I'm sure they will be selling their share with the new president on board..Anyway, Gary has gotten to ride in it several times and it sure it nice driving
out to the local airport and taking off..he says..

Did you know (from Gary Taube's new book) that a rise in insulin will cause your kidneys to retain fluid? Probably one of the reasons that carbs make you gain water
weight if not real weight..

Have to look at the library for The Help tomorrow.

Making a tamale casserole for the dinner for the homeless/poor people tonight. Very carby, needless to say..I'm not serving tonight, so I won't eat any..

Morning
We are leaving from Florida Carolyn, it would be easier to just drive to the boat and pass on the suitcases. But, I went to get the luggage and saw I did have one bigger than I was thinking so I think it iwll hold everything and hoping it is not overweight.
DGS 11 came yesterday and spent the night last night, I haven't had him for a while and I missed him so much. He is so busy these days.
Finally got my diabetes byetta meds straightened out with my new insurance company, whew, that was a tug of war to get it approved, they got my RX and just sat on it, and all the time I thought it was on it's way. Has to have prior authorization from the Dr. and I guess I was supposed to have read that and know it but I hadn't and didn't. And, one of meds from the new company had a $500 copay for 3 months supply. I found out about that ahead of time and told them to toss that one, I would suffer the side effects of the generic, which I hope I can handle. This whole medical thing is a nightmare anymore, no wonder elder folks don't always take their meds.

Hi ladies..

Have a wonderful cruise, Buffy..$500 for 3 months copay is ridiculous..You are right, no wonder people have to choose between food or meds..grumble..And you know that pill costs about .10 to make..

Just got home from running around..library, etc..Dh is heading to Atlanta. The traffic
there is some kind of crazy with the ice (still sort of there a bit). He should be home here around 11 or so..

I think taking my thyroid meds all at once didn't work out. It seemed as though I was gaining for no reason..(this time), so I'm back to 1 1/2 in the am. and 1 1/2 in the afternoon..

Good morning.

I was sad to her that LeahIA, a wonderful Christian woman died of cancer last night.
I think she was in her late 50's, maybe..She lived not too far from Des Moines..

Dh made it home around midnight, so he is still sleeping. That darned cat wakes me up at 5, then eats, comes back in to meow me up at 6..LOL.

I am supposed to go to a jewelry brunch this morning. I very rarely go to those parties, but I might..I'll eat before I go..

It is warming up slightly, but are we supposed to get some "weather" this weekend?

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this news about Kathy. I've been MIA on the FlyLady threads for quite a while now and wasn't keeping up on the latest news with my FL friends. She was such a sweet person. May she rest in peace, and may God give comfort to all her family and friends.

Morning!

Great time out with GF's last night. Everyone should have friends about 10 years younger than you are - they're fun!

Finished a library book that was due 4 days ago this morning, now hoping for a semi-lazy day as I clean a little before DD27 comes home.

Hi ladies..

Cindy....did you have fun? How was the snow? Glad to have you back..

Buffy left on a cruise. I don't think she amputating anything before she went.
However, with all that food available, it would be hard not to gain...I know I would.

Thanks for the Kathy link..She was only 61..Too young to die, I'm afraid.

Brett's first day of work tomorrow..He gets an hour for lunch, so he can drive home and eat if he wants.

We went to a visitation for a friend today. He too was too young to die. He got sick right after he retired and never really got to enjoy any of his retirement years. May he rest in peace.

Cindy, I hope you didn't break anything and had nothing but fun.

Buffy, I doubt you see this until you get back but hope you have a blast! Enjoy every moment.

Hi ladies..

LOL..Today is Brett's first day of work. The man hasn't delivered the washer/dryer yet, so I am hoping he is wearing an ironed shirt..LOL.. I hope Brett eats in the cafeteria from time to time to meet some peeps..

Gosh, Sandy, I just hate to hear when just retired people die..So young, in my opinion.

My back is slightly out, so I am hoping to the chiro first thing. He takes walk-ins or hobble-ins..I think it was the lifting of the 25 pound bag of birdseed yesterday.

Lunch with Newcomers today at the Mexican restaurant. I am not going to touch the chips..That is my mantra all morning..No chips, no chips...and I can have a nice
LC lunch, guacamole salad and one chili relleno ?..

Cold ! All 3 mornings we got up to ski, it was -7 degrees! And Lord, it is boring to drive across Kansas! Back at work and have been up all night 2 nights in a row . My sleep has been off for a couple of years so I finally bit the dust today and got a script for Ambien CR. The long release one . I bet I will sleep great tonight!

Morning!

Why is the total pillow great??

TRX class today, then errands, then a decorator to try to tell me what to do in the living room!

Hey ladies..

Just exercised for over an hour or so..I never get a sweat on, so I have to exercise longer..

Okay, when I am sitting in bed trying to read, I never could get my head high enough
to make myself comfortable..Enter the Total Pillow..I just fold it in half and put it on my neck, lean against my other pillows.. I love it..

I always wanted a decorator..

I had a coffee table crisis at Christmas..Got this great table in Lawrence a few years back..Well, someone put a glass on it without a coaster and you guessed it..There was
a huge place where the stain came off..Found a cute little older gentleman to fix it.
$80 later and my coffee table looks like new..Plus he put a coat of poly on it so this
might not happen again..

Have a great day everyone..

I'm knitting simple scarves. Connie (dd's minlaw) opened a darling quilt craft store in
town and wants me to teach a simple knitting class..So I am making samples..

TRX class and errands are over.
I'm waiting on the decorator, so . . . . chicken is in the crock pot, counter and stove are wiped, and I'm sorting paper!

So the place should look a mess by the time she gets here!

Carolyn - I don't sweat much either - it takes a really hard, hot class to get me to break a sweat.

I let you know how the decorator works out!

I always wanted a decorator too. I didn't get that gene.

I used to never sweat. Until I started running. Then I sweat. Of course, I haven't run in forever but I know if I did I'd sweat, lol.

She had some good paint ideas, thought crown molding would be good and I'll have to get new pillows if I want to keep the chairs the same color.

Also the rod-iron railing could be painted black.
She also had thought on window treatments.

I only had her for an hour, and I think paint took up most of that.

Hi ladies..

What's the weather like?? We are going to get snow through the night...and cold..

Yes, I meant to ask Sandy about that bull riding experience???...

Crown molding is always nice. And getting the right color paint is crucial and worth
the hour it took..Sounds like she was helpful.

Staying home..Dh is driving home with the old pickup to get the Camry and take it back to work. Mr. Pickup doesn't like snow or ice..
