I'm still too afraid to color my own hair, but every 7-8 weeks at the stylist just isn't cutting it anymore.

How often do you all color??

Well, it came out a little more red than usual. I chose a color called cappuccino because I liked the name.

Not to worry, it will grow out or wash out.

About 5 weeks..

I do it about every 5-7 weeks. Although I could probably do it sooner. It's not my fav past-time for sure.

Carolyn, love the pic!! And remember, you're not supposed to be tasting the hair color so don't buy it by what sounds tasty, lol.

Ok, I like the chicken's hair, I am always trying to get more height and body!!! Luv it!

I get my hair colored every 5 weeks and it gets way too expensive but I can't do it blonde by myself, so I pay and pay. Sometimes a cut with that, sometimes just a tiny trim.

Last load of laundry in the dryer, whew, there was a lot. House picked up and dinner in the oven, so tomorrow is office day.
Went through my summer clothes and put all the possibilites together. Geez, I found 7 pair of white capris, I am always drawn to buying the white and the navy ones. No decent black pair though, they always fade it seems.
I think I need 2 pretty dressy items for dinners, then the rest is casual. Fits me.

That's funny Buffy, I probably have 15 pairs of black capris and only 3 whites. And go for it!! I know you can get that 50# off by Saturday!! But please share your plan with me b/c I need to use it before my vacation too.

I love black capris, but they do fade.. White and navy is my favorite combination for
summer...You will look like a sailor and fit right in, Buffy.

Yes, I'd take 5 pounds by Saturday..or .5 pound..

Just made some chicken and noodles for my hairdresser's Christmas present. I think they will be fine in my car tomorrow..unless they freeze..

Dh made it to Wichita safely, on to Atlanta tomorrow..

Morning!

Snowed more here - and DH is in OK City.
So guess who has to walk the dog and sweep the walk - again!!

Carolyn - our DH's are criss-crossing the country!

Spin class, a bunch of errands, hair cut and color, more errands . . . . oh yeah, and the cabinets!

DS18 left for Chicago this morning on a school trip to wander around the city, eat and see Wicked. He saw it with us a couple of years ago - but his GF is on the trip so, of course, he had to go again!

I had to walk the dog this morning - so bitterly cold - about 16°!

Hi ladies..

Hair is still slightly red...Can't wait for the hairdresser's opinion..LOL..But I am bringing her chicken (appropriate) and noodles so she has to be nice.

It's cold in OKCity, too, Mary Kay..My computer says it is 1 here..I never wear a hat, do you guys? But I have a hood in case of freezing temps..

Oh..I'm betting Chicago will be chilly..That city is always chilly, I think. Never saw Wicked, but people really love it..

Off to exercise this morning, then reading, etc..

Check in later..

When I walk the dog I wear a hat, a hood, anything I can - plus 3 layers on me!
Who knows how long it will take him!!

It's only 3 here this a.m. I have to go out to take my dad to the Dr. and get groceries. I'm fixing a birthday dinner tomorrow night for my DD and she's requested something I've never made before so I have to go pick up all the ingredients I need. DGD is coming over to help me and she's making carrot cake for her from my mom's recipe. Mom would be so proud!

I think I'm glad I have a cat..No outside stuff involved..And the dogs around here just
walk around themselves..LOL..Except for the pitt bull down the hill who is always on
a leash..

Be careful with your dad today..I know that cake will taste extra wonderful because
your dgd made it..(I love carrot cake alot)..

Better get going..

Yum! Carrott Cake!!!

Carolyn - I wish!
We have strict leash laws!
Plus he's a Doberman mix and he'd scare people!

We have strict leash laws too. For dogs and cats. But they sure don't enforce it for cats, which really makes me mad. I'm actually thinking about bundling up and taking Bailey for a short jaunt. Very short!

Both the "dressers" liked my color.. We are out of town, so it's every dog for himself.
We don't get dog catcher services, so I have to load stray dogs in my car and take them
to the shelter and pay for their food. Luckily, I have only had to do this twice..both black labs.. In town there are leash laws, though.

Did my exercise and errands..I have a new little girl I read with. She is very shy, but
started talking. I asked her how many brothers/sisters she had..She said 3 brothers and 2 sisters, but some of them are her dad's with another girl. She lives with her mom
and her dad is in prison (has been there for 6 years) and will get out in another year or so... These kids today have "stories" we can't even imagine...

I think I might be crazy: I took the dog for a walk! It wasn't too bad on the north/south streets but the east/west streets were brutal. I didn't really go very far. Brrrr.

I always love the book more than the movie.
This one i read far enough apart that I'd forgotten most of the book!

Morning peeps,
Got my errands and shopping finished up yesterday, dinner club last night, nails done yesterday and back this morning for the pedicure. I always wear flip flops for that and it was too cold to run errancds in flip flops yesterday.
Picking up the 11 yo DGS after early release today so he can spend the night with me, haven't had him in a while and we miss each other. I can still get a lot done while he is here thogh and get to visit with him at the same time. Tomorrow hair cut and pack and Sat. I am off on the cruise. It is always rush, rush, rush, right up to the last minute.

I am reading/listening to Mudbound right now, going to download The Help onto my Iphone to take with me on my trip. DD#1 devours books, tells DD#2 which ones are good, she then dloads them to her audible account and I can dload them from there as well. Then I listen while driving and thought I would enjoy on the ship while relaxing.

I saw the movie you watched Carolyn, but have not read the book. Maybe we need to start a book club, LOL.

Eating lightly this week, not getting on the scale, it is what it is at this point.

Stay busy everyone, stay warm.

Morning Buffy!

I loved The Help. I hope you do too!

Need anyone to carry your bags?
I'm so tired of the cold!

Well yes I do, the worst part about traveling to me is wrestling with bags and now they charge you for each one you check and yet I just don't like to carry on much b/c you have to keep up with it every minute, then heft it up into the bins and pull it out at the peril of anyone around you. Why can't we be the Beverly Hills Housewifes and just have the limo drive us up to our private jet where all of our things have already been magically deposited and then fly, fly away. Take turns with that wealth people!!!!!
It is really cold here in Dallas this week so I am looking forward to the tropical weather as well.

The Help sounds really good, I have to get that d/loaded before I forget it.
