Carolyn - yay for Brett!! And that's definitely a workout!!

I still don't know if I'll spin on Sunday.
When I did it a few weeks ago, I liked it, but was tired for the next 4 days!!

DGS is doing well. He's not even sore!! I saw pictures of his jeep and it really was a miracle he wasn't hurt. I sure hope we don't have any more of that kind of excitement around here.

I love cream cheese filled jalapenos!! I just mix toasted bacon bits in with the cream cheese, fill the peppers and eat. We don't even like them baked. Just raw! Yummy!

Just exercised and now to do some last minute cleaning up. Boys are home..

Gary's boss who had the minor stroke is heading to a Tulsa hospital, maybe for
some rehab. He has a daughter there and his wife can stay there..So pray for
a quick recovery for Dave.. Thanks.

Sandy, so glad DGS is doing well, my GS was in a wreck last summer and like yours, lucky to come out of it without any injuries and it totalled the car as well. whew, those are scary times.

Just talked to a dear friend of mine who ran into an acquaintance of both of ours whom we hadn't seen since last summer. Things have really gotten bad for this couple with 5 children, he had lost his job, she had to go back to work with 2 babies at home, they are behind on house, car, etc. payments so I am trying to get their address so I can drop a little something by to help them out. I try to find and do something for someone on a personal basis at Christmas time and this is just perfect, someone who works hard and truly needs it.

Have my menu in place for our Christmas on Sunday night so just have to get a few groceries to finish that up, I finally did get a few decorations up and a small tree so I am pretty much ready for Christmas, all the gifts are wrapped.

DB is going to be moved next week from the rehab center to a nursing home where he will finally get the private room he was supppsed to have in rehab but it never happened. It will be closer to family so hopefully they can go see him more often. He is quite a bit better and begs to go home and I honestly think with some help coming in that he could but his wife says no at this time. I can't change that but it breaks my heart to hear him beg to just please let him go home.

Yes, Sandy..so glad your dgs is doing so well..Jeeps do flip over so easily..Time for a new car, I guess..

Oh..sorry for your friends..Things can be horrible with no job and many children.. I can't imagine...Let's hope the job situation improves immensely in 2011.

Glad your db is getting his private room....My minlaw never had a private room at the nursing home cuz they were limited. It was pretty bad sometimes.

Carolyn - The spin class fills quickly, so if I didn't decide today, I probably can't get in.
But, I think I'll just hold out until Monday!

I went to circuit class today and will go to Spin tomorrow anyway!

I've made lots of cookies today - for the decorating party tonight.
I'm taking 3 dozen and I left 1 1/2 dozen here for the boys to eat now.

My bathroom is clean, DD24's bed is changed and the living room is vacuumed.
The house is as clean as it's going to get!

I need to put my basket of clothes away and finish in DD24's room!

She's landed in St Louis!

Had dinner with our Chinese friends (from dh's work). She is a doctor in China and he sells. Very sweet people..We took them out for burgers at a sports bar..Visited at our
house, then dropped them off at their hotel. James had a Merry Christmas cake in the
trunk of his car for me..from the local bakery. I put it in the freezer for Christmas..
They don't really know about Christmas, etc..

Happy Christmas Eve... Started cooking..Dh has to buy his brother a little present as they will be here for dinner.. We don't usually exchange, but since they are our guests, we need to do this.. Alex got their cat a little kitty soft Linus blanket from Walgreens.
He is a very kind cousin.

Thanks Cindy for your kind thoughts for my brother. I am very afraid it won't get better, I am doing my best to get along with SIL but even though he could come home with some help in the home, the truth is, she doesn't want him back home and so I am afraid it will never happen. It is very sad.

Sounds like everyone is winding up and having fun things to do. I just wrapped the last gift and now doing some laundry and want to finish up the menu for Sunday night so I know what I need to get at the store.

It is rainy here, not a Christmas eve type of weather! At least make it snow if it is going to be wet.

Dreary, had some snow flakes this morning but it was too warm for them to stick. We are headed to Des Moines for Christmas in the morning and I think they will have snow.

Merry Christmas everybody. I hit the floor at 6:30 and never stopped until just a little bit ago when everybody went home and I hit the couch!! I'm pooped, but we had a very enjoyable day. Next year we'll have the new baby to enjoy as well.

I caught a nasty cold somewhere on top of the sinus infection/dizzy thing I've had going on. And I took my last dose of my Z-pak tonight. Sigh.....I hope it keeps me from suffering from the cold too much but at least I don't have much planned for the next few days.

Here I come, dragging in a day late to wish you all a Merry Christmas! Didn't get online yesterday. Had a nice Christmas here at home with DH, got video updates and pictures from the kids and then late afternoon went to visit stepdaughter and her family, the triplets. Our stepson whom we seldom see was also there with his 2 boys so was great to see them. Had a nice time there. Today 2 of my DD's and 3 of the grandchildren are coming this afternoon for Christmas dinner so I have to get busy to get ready for that, have to run to the grocery store first.
Then Tuesday I am off to Austin to stay with DS and DDIL and the new baby for a couple of days.
Busy busy busy.

DGD21 came and got all our "bad" leftovers to take to a friend who just moved into an apartment and had no food. I hope she enjoys carb overload, lol.

I'm loving my Nook so far. Still wondering if i should've gotten the color one but still don't know, lol. I might keep this one and upgrade at a later date. Then I'll have 2. One for inside and one for outside. Is that terribly spoiled??? I hope not, but I'm afraid it might be. But they might go on sale by then so maybe I won't feel so bad, right?

KCity kiddos left..Had a good time. I got an immersion blender, which I am dying to try out with some cauliflower soup..

I'm throwing out all the highcarb stuff..

I can't believe that Dh is still flying to Boston. His flight comes from the West, so, it thinks it can get into Logan..(LOL). He is leaving at 2:30 from KCity..Methinks, he will
be "turning around" and coming home tonight..So pray for safety..
