We have our new baby boy, Oliver. He was born a little after 9:00 last night, weighed 7 lb, 13 oz and it was a water birth. My son said DDIL did an amazing job with natural childbirth and they were on top of the world, came home from the birthing center at 3:00 am this monrning. Going down later today or tomorrow morning to see them. I am so pumped.

Facial today, then get ready to go see DS.

Well according to fit day I had 1108 calories which 90grms fat(that seems kinda high) lol I love heavy whipping cream in my coffee! 66.8 was protein and 6.9 carbs. I found an all in one calculator from a link on here someone and have came to the conclusion that I can have between 56-84 grms of protein.

Welcome Stephanie,
My granddaughter is getting ready to start applying to nursing schools! We're a very friendly bunch here so jump on in and get to know us. Have you been on EFGT very long? I think it's the best way there is to eat and be healthy although I don't always make very good choices lately. So don't look to me for an example for sure, lol.

Hi Sandy!

I just stumbled upon the website the other day so I am just actually starting I have done basic low carb, but I never could quite get to where I wanted, with all the working out I do I thought that something has got to be missing... and then I found EFGT, and on came the light bulb!! so I am still reading up on it and trying to get all my calculations correct when it comes to the fat side, I can def tell ya that I think I really have been over eating on the protein!! PS tell your grand-daughter Nursing School is the craziest ride of your life...atleast it has been for me...late nights, no sleep , living in the same house as my husband but rarely saw him hahah but it has also been the best ride for sure... and looking forward to my last 4 months!!!

Steph

I am trying to do some stuff around the house and catch up with laundry today..KSU plays at 3:00, so I need to get busy..Did some exercising this morning, then had coffee at the hfstore..

I hate waking up so early..5 a.m. is way too early on a Saturday. I hope you can catch a little afternoon nap, MKay.

Happy Caturday to all my friends.

Yeah, Stephanie! I am a Nurse Anesthetist and have a 10 1/2 year Throughbred horse so welcome fellow nurse-to-be, horse lover, dieter and gym goer! You sound like a fun addition to our happy group. San Antonio is a great place for nurses. All right, road trip all to meet Stephanie on the River Walk for Mexican food!! At least not 23 degree weather like here!!

Count me in for the road trip!! I've always wanted to visit San Antonio.

We've been shopping all day. Ugh. But it wasn't too bad. DH decided to get his parents "something else" and we had to change one of the grandkids gifts to something else. And we got all the stuff for Christmas dinner too except the perishables. Now we're going to go eat and relax.

Tomorrow is Christmas Treat Making Day at DD's house. I'll be super pooped out after that. I already told her I'm not staying as long as I did last year and she said she thinks we'll cut down the amount of stuff we make this year. Sounds good to me.

DH gave me my gift early. I got a Nook!!! I sure hope I like it. I'm sure I will. I love electronic gadgets.

Morning!
Road Trip!!!!! I am right off 35 so you all can pick me up on your way through Dallas, wheeee! I love San Antonia.

Well, had an absolutely wonderful day yesterday, DD#2 and I drove to Austin to meet our new little Oliver. Of course he is perfect and beautiful but I am so proud of my son and DDIL, they are going to be amazing parent's. Boy, have they got it together, they are so happy and excited to have their first baby and while DDIL took a much needed nap, we cuddled Oliver and my son took us through the birth at a birthing center in step by step detail. I have never known anyone who used a birthing center and he said it was really an amazing eperience, they were the only couple there having a baby so had all kinds of help and at the end she choose a water birth so got into this large spa tub and little Oliver swam into the world. My son is on such a high he will surely come down soon, LOL. He has the next 2 weeks off so will be able to help her with things and her mom lives close by and is a very well known lactation consultant so they are all set. It was so much fun being with my son and sharing this with him. DD and I drove back last night but we had a great day.
Catch up and get organized day here today, make a list of what needs to be done before next weekend. Mon and Tues. I hope to get all grocery and gift shopping done, have my diabetes dr. appt on Tuesday and then spend the rest of the week getting ready for our Christmas which will be on the 26th with DD#2, DD#3 and their families.

only need to wrap a few more..Dh hasn't wrapped my coat yet, but it is not Christmas Eve, yet, is it???

Well I was an Army brat (my mom) originally from Xenia Ohio but we moved to Colorado Spings when I was 2, and stayed there until I was 27, and have been in Texas now for 5 years. My grandmother lives in SA and my mom took a job in SA and being the mama's girl I am I moved down a year after she left CO.

No, Stephanie..Get the Natural Weightloss one..It is much easier to read..I think Barry isn't selling the other one..

AKKK..Santa is going to be mad at me if I don't hit it hard the next few days up to
Christmas.... I am making a pork tenderloin for tonight. I got one of those McCormick
mixes with a bag..herb flavored, so we will see how it works.

Off to exercise..See ya later..

Ok girls, I'm not trying to sabotage anyone but here's what we made yesterday:

ok from 12:00 around: peanut butter balls, peanut brittle, bugle "ice cream" cones, Mrs. Stover's Chocolate Fudge, peanut butter fudge above that, kiss cookies, butterscotch pecan fudge above those, and dipped peanut butter ritz sandwiches. Oh and the candy cane bark hearts in the very center. We made one other kind of peanut butter fudge too but it's not on that dish.

I guess the peanut butter balls and peanut brittle are both kind of at 12. There was 2 kinds of p. butter balls.
