Ok, I don't usually participate in the monthly weigh in but I did get on the scales this morning and it was 209.2, up a little from my 208 low that I was hoping would turn into 207. But, for some reason, I have wanted to eat the house empty the last 3 days, not sure what it is but I can't seem to get full???? I am getting a cold/sinus thing, need to call the Dr. and maybe my body is trying to fight it off with food? Silly body, that won't work????
This coming Saturday I will be going to Austin for my new grandbabies baby shower which is Sunday, my son's baby which is due in December, so I don't want to take a cold to DDIL or not feel well for the trip. Probably try to make a Dr. appt. for tomorrow, I need to make a list of meds I need new scripts on as well. Too much to do today and I don't feel that bad, but with my history, he always wants me to come in when I start to get anything like this b/c I just don't get over them easily. Just caught up on the Kimmers thread, wow, I had not kept up with that through the years, that really turned into a massive mess. I joined her site at one time, I guess I am still a member, I got an email last week but just hit delete, I should have read it. I don't even know the site address, should look it up and see what is going on over there. And, how do you get to her facebook page? I am not very hip on facebook yet, trying to get on there more b/c my kids post pics of the grands there.

Hello!
![]() I've been following the Atkins 72 plan but have been very curious about this plan. It seems i have the best losses when i "cheat" and have a higher than 20g carb day. This plan really seems to make sense to me and i really miss my veggies!!! i've been reading and re-reading the info posts and hope i have the correct info. would it be ok to join you posting here? i would like to try adding some fat and lowering my proteins but honestly i'm scared to death to up my carbs. ![]() need coconut oil and planned to go to the health food store today but have a little one home sick. ![]() heavy cream ok? how much? other than coconut oil & olive oil, what fats do you add? thanks y'all!!! |

![]() ![]() I'll let Carolyn answer all the hard questions, but welcome to the group!! I've lost quite a bit on this plan. The biggest thing to remember is that fat isn't an enemy! I actually went down today to 117.2. Not a lot of difference but a pound lower is something I want to hold on to! Buffy - friend me on Facebook! Maybe we'll all get a Thanksgiving miracle! ![]() |

You know if you have been losing just fine, then keep your carbs the same. Some of us can't eat all those carbs anyway, but we try to watch protein and eat a decent amount of fat.Coconut oil is not a must, but it is just another oil to use. If you make the bark, moderation is the key. Heavy cream is fine..but then again 65 percent fats is not a ton of it..So watch that, too.. ![]() You really need to use ****** for a while to get the hang of the percentages and watch your protein.. Welcome, we would love to have you..

Here I am, showing up late and too heavy too. I'm up this month. 152.6 ugh!!! I really need a Thanksgiving miracle around here. My DD was so good yesterday too but I sure didn't follow her example.
Welcome Labyrinth. I'd suggest using ****** and just try to keep in the right %% ballpark. I think you'll find you can have a few more carbs and feel more satisfied and still lose. Of course, I'm not a very good example to follow right now, lol. |

I was 149 this morning..
As we age, even though we exercise, we can't eat like we could when we were 25.. ![]() That is why we see lots of peeps who gain in their 40's and up. That is, unless you have a super fast metabolism..However, even very skinny ladies can gain when they hit 40.. |

I voted early last week to beat the rush, lol. I just like getting it over with. I went to mass today for All Souls Day and then went and picked up my dad and we went to the cemetery. We visited all the relatives graves in that cemetery. We even had to go to the office to get a map b/c there was one we couldn't find. It was my grandmother and her 2nd husband that we were looking for. They added some bldgs. to the cemetery since then and it got us confused as to which garden they were in. I think there are 13 relatives buried there! It's not where I'll be when that time comes.
Weight still stuck today but hopefully I'll have a drop tomorrow. I have my yearly check up tomorrow too. I hate to see what my "official" weight is and how much I really am up from last years appt.

Haircut tomorrow..anyone else??
Good luck at the doctor's..It was a nice day to visit your relatives..I'm sure your dad enjoyed it, Sandy. Basketball...KSU beat Newman (Wichita). Those are just exhibition games..I'm sure KU has some games, too. Good for you, Labyrinth with the yoga. My friend has been doing it for many years and is very flexible. Brett made it back home. He went up to Manhattan and talked to the Career Counselor who gave him some hints..which is a good thing. |

My hair appt. is tomorrow, great heads need attention at the same time, yes????
Today is work in the office day, maybe a load of laundry. It rained all day yesterday but came down slow and easy so good for our yards, trees, etc. Today it is still overcast but supposed to be sunny tomorrow. Wow, you can tell it is fall and cooler weather, I am fighting off the going into hibernation mode big time. Bears are smarter than us, they don't have jobs, etc. and just give into the mood. Come back out sun, I really really need you..... DS and DDIL busy getting the new babies room ready, they are so excited. Dec. 11th is due date, I hope he isn't 2 weeks late, I bought him 2 little Christmas outfits yesterday. |
