Oh...Cindy..Prayers for your dhor.. It is just like having kids, only they are bigger..much bigger.

MK: Lean body weight..I think there is a good calculator on the net..Let me find it for you.

Exercised longer than usual..McDonald's has free coffee, so I picked up one and doctored it myself at home. I don't like their cream..It tastes funky.

Mary Kay: Just google this..I'm not sure I can post them here..They have ads connected to them.

Although, I did 2 calcs and for me it went from 101 LBW to 95 LBW..So, for a shorter person it would be lower..

was at 172 this morning. looks like TOM will be visiting soon.

have any of y'all noticed a decrease in PMS symptoms with this woe??? i am not having the usual "PMS WEEK" symptoms like i used to. it's nice! but wondered if it's just because my body is getting over it or if it could be food related. your thoughts???

Donna: Hmm? I do think that some younger gals do have milder symptoms..I know LCing is good for PCOS (they say), so it is probably all related. I used to gain 5 pounds when TOM came to visit.. In the olden days...LOL.

I am LOVING this eating plan!!! I was down to 147 this a.m.!!!! After lunch out yesterday with a friend. I wonder if the ACV is helping me a lot with this too? And yesterday I started on aloe vera juice too. So far so good on the reflux symptoms. No voice problems and MUCH less clearing of my throat. I sooooo hope this fixes me, lol.

Well I guess I should've clarified "this plan". I've not really been doing EFGT, per se. I'm mainly eating proteins and fats with a tiny bit of veggies included sometimes. And I've had a few cocktails too but have tried to make unsugary choices and limited myself to only 2.

So far, so good. I just really hope I can stay focused after the holiday.

Are you coming to KC for Thanksgiving? It's cold!!!!!

Hi..

Oh, Sandy, I do hope that the ACV fixes ya.. It is supposed to help digest food better and that helps with acid reflux..Here is a little bit on the WL thing:

Apple Cider Vinegar and Weight Loss… How Much to Take?

Most apple cider vinegar weight loss home remedies, like the one investigated in Vermont by Dr D. C. Jarvis, M.D., call for the taking of one or two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water before each meal.
Patricia Bragg recommends adding 1 or 2 teaspoons of raw honey to this mixture.

Whichever way you take it, don't expect a rapid weight loss, the weight will be lost gradually, as it should be to allow the body's fat cells to adjust to their new size.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Weight Loss… How Does it Work?
No one is really sure how apple cider vinegar works to promote weight loss, but there is no shortage of theories.

It is generally believed that the nutrients, enzymes, and organic acids in apple cider vinegar cause weight reduction by acting as an appetite suppressant, by increasing your body's metabolic rate, by reducing water retention, and by helping you maintain a feeling of well being.

Yup! That's my kind of diet Cindy, lolol.

Carolyn, I think the appetite thing is true. I know my appetite is probably way down because of ketosis (havent' checked for that though) but I'm just not interested in food. I eat my meal and that's it. That's just NOT me, lol. But I'll take it.

Morning!

So sad!
DD24 is snowed in!
She may not be able to meet us in KC today!
Denver is OK, but she can't make it there!

Fingers crossed she can fly out sometime or at least by tomorrow!

It's really icy here too - luckily spin class isn't until 9:15, so hopefully the temps will rise!

Hi ladies..

Sometimes we forget the benefits of ketosis..It is supposed to kill your appetite and make you satisfied with less food. Sandy is our prime example..

Oh dear..Mary Kay. I'm sure the skiiers are happy, but the travellers aren't. Hope she does get to see you this weekend. I'm sure they will plow the roads, etc..How far is it from Denver???

LOL..Dh had to bring something for their Tday potluck at work. He made devilled eggs all by himself..I'm so proud of him..He never, ever cooks anything..ever.

Prayers for dhor's eye surgery..Will they sew up the hole? No glass eye, huh?

No Carolyn, no prosthesis. They sew the eyelid close. She is out of surgery and back in her stall. Poor baby. Will pick her up Friday.

Wow, that means there are 4 of us from this thread in KC right now!!!! We really should try to meet up for a coffee or something. I know that's really hard for you out-of-towners but it would be so nice, wouldn't it Cindy? I'm sure we could be accommodating, right?

A sad development

We are going to put DHOR 28 down in the morning. She has been battling other chronic issues over the summer and had taken a turn for the worse. My BFF who takes care of her says she hasn't been happy over the past few months. We are at the end of the road. This pic was over the summer with her son. Her son is the red on up front leading.

Oh Cindy, I'm so sorry you have to do this. But I hope you get comfort knowing that you gave her and her baby a wonderful life and that you love her enough to let her go now. Please know my thoughts are with you. I know how hard this is to do. Thank goodness you have her son to help you through the grief of losing her.

Finally home from Omaha, what was going to be a 4 day trip turned into a 8 day trip but I just could not leave my DB and he is much worse than I thought or expected him to be, a long story but I spend 7 good days with him.

I have not had a chance to go back a full week but just read this page and Cindy, I am soooo sooo sorry about your horse, I know how hard this much be and we are all thinking of you. You did give her a wonderful life, I can tell in all your posts how much love you had for her.

Will get over the rest of the posts in the next couple of days, hope you all are well and it is soo good to be back home. I am very very tired, both mentally and physically.

Got home from the big city..Had a nice visit with Gary's 95 year old Aunt who looks fabulous..walks a mile everyday..Lives on the 5th floor and takes the stairs..She only eats half of her meal and saves the rest for lunch..(She has a little apartment). Portion control and exercise is the key.

Buffy: Oh...let us know what's going on with your brother when you get a few minutes.
Glad you are back home..

Oh, Cindy..I thought of you all day long...

We had a very nice Thanksgiving..Dh is leaving for Terra Haute on Sunday, so tomorrow is an ironing day for me.
