Carolyn, that is so cool! And what a nice birthday surprise.
I love shrimp! But I think I can eat more than 2 bananas worth, lol.

I was down a tiny bit more this a.m. Monday I was at 156.4 and today I'm at 149.2. The Monday weight was right after a pretty bad weekend, so I'd say at least 3# of that was weekend bloat, lol. But I'm still happy with my loss. Now to hold it for the weekend. That's the challenge for me. We are going out to dinner tonight and tomorrow night with friends, but I'm determined to eat right no matter what. It helps that my appetite is just about gone now too. The best thing about LC eating, IMHO.

Hi..

Grumble, birthday salty dinner..Back to 150..I'm so proud of you gals...You are
setting a good example for all of us...

Off to Branson, but we are meeting our good friends from St. Louis area. Sharon has always been thin..She eats like a bird..(sort of). I will follow suit..Duh?? She never
finishes a meal..

Well, my connection is also sending me a DVD of the road where my relatives used to live. The house burned down in 1895.. No fire departments and lots of candles, I'm sure..

Have fun Carolyn. Hey, did u get my email with all the restaurants listed?

I went to the ENT today to have my hearing tested again. I've lost a tiny bit in my left ear but it's still in the normal range. He said I still have GERD. I told him I don't have any symptoms. I get hoarse very easy when I talk very much. He said that's the symptom. Well, I've been on the stupid Prilosec for over 2 years now. I told him I want off that medicine b/c of the bone weakness it can cause. And he tells me I can treat it symtomatically. After telling me when I was in there last that I would always have GERD and would have to take meds for it the rest of my life!! I get so frustrated with the medical profession.

I did it!!!! I actually stayed on plan for dinner while out with friends. I did have 2 bloody mary's but I'd planned them into my eating beforehand and I stayed the same weight this a.m. !!!!!! One down, one more to go. Tonight will be Italian food but they have an Atkins special on their menu which helps a lot. So I'll pass on the bread, have a couple glasses of wine and have the Atkins special. My goal is not to gain over the weekend and then maybe lose another pound or 2 before Thursday.

Buffy, I'm thinking of you and your brother this a.m. and offering up a prayer for both of you. I hope he's settling in and that you and he can have some peace regarding his whole situation. I know how very hard it is on everybody. Hugs to you, my friend.

Went out with 3 GF's last night and discovered a blood orange margarita.
OMG so good!
No weighing today, and back to protein until it's all out of my system.
Dinner was pretty good - OK not really . . . . so back to it today!

My confession includes too many pita chips with lots of salt, guac, a rice pilaf thing that was amazing plus the 2 drinks.
The good parts were water, the salmon and the salsa.
I think the bad wins this time!

Today -
B- coffee with coconut cream and 2 eggs

This morning is a Lia Sophia party, a mammo this afternoon and a bunch of errands.

BBL!

Hello gals. I bet you think I fell of the face of the earth. I did fall off the HCG wagon but not for any reason except laziness. One bright point is Ive maintained my loss and I want everyone to know this stuff does work! I think I typed it before, my daughter presented my hubby and I with a cruise for Christmas (Jan 8th for a week) and my focus switched from dieting to getting thru the Holidays. I wish I had a brain that could multitask better! Happy Thanksgiving gals! Im going to try to pop in more often and see if I can get a few more pounds off before we leave.

I'm so happy to report that for the first time in who knows when, I actually showed a loss on a Sunday morning!!! So Sat. and Sun. I showed a loss after eating out both Fri. and Sat. nights. And I've done well today so I'm pretty sure I won't have a gain in the a.m. I was down to 148.2 this a.m. Woohooooo!!!

Congrats to all the losers. And good to see you pop in Susie!

Hi gals..

Back from Branson..I wasn't perfect, but I wasn't too terrible. However, I'm sure I will show a gain.

Yeah to all our losers..

Sandy: I didn't get the list, but thanks for sending it. Beth had already found they had
dinner at Lidias, so she made a reserveration for us.

How many of you have gone to Branson? It is such a fun crazy place. We saw the
Brett Family Singers (okay) and the magician Kirby Van Burch, who was fabulous.

GERD? Protonix was the med that worked for me. Maybe you need to switch for a while. Of course, coffee is one of the evil culprits..Dh had to quit..But, that is not going to happen with Sandy. Dh also can't drink carbonated stuff..Hope you can resolve this..

Suzie: Glad you maintained your loss..Are you eating more normally now???

Donna: 170 is wonderful..It might have been the salmon.

MK: Back on track, too with ya.

Yes, I've seen Kirby! I took the 2 youngest grandkids down there on spring break a few years ago and we went to see him. My DIL is deathly afraid of snakes and right at the beginning of his show he throws a snake out towards the audience and we were front row center!! She turned in her seat and literally climbed over it and the people behind us and ran out of there. She wouldn't come back in until they promised her that there would be no more snakes. We still laugh about that.

We've been to Branson many times over the years. One of the most memorable was when we saw an orangutan riding in a convertible with some guy. We all did double takes on that one for sure, lol. Any my DH got pneumonia there from diving into an ice cold swimming pool the morning after a late night with friends. He had a headache. That was many moons ago but we still remember that time.

I've had reflux for quite a while but it's called silent reflux so I don't really have terrible symptoms. Just lately I've been getting very hoarse in the evenings. I mentioned it to my ENT when I went to get my hearing re-checked and he ran a tube through my nose to look at my throat and told me it was from the reflux. So......I don't want to be on meds for it anymore b/c of what I've read about the bone weakness caused from them. So I'm trying the ACV mixed with water 3-4 times a day and see how that works. I'll keep you informed on my progress. I don't want to give up coffee, cream, chocolate, fats, carbonated drinks and alcohol. Really, what's left if you give up all that??? Lol. So we'll see how I do by trying to trick it.

Gosh, Sandy..I am so glad that snake died or something. I would have literally died..no kidding. But Kirby is amazing...

One of our friends had reflux and he said the best thing he ever did was to raise the head of his bed up...Good luck with the ACV. My tummy is a little sensitive, so I don't use it too much. But, I do think it helps with digestion.

Cindy, so glad to see you made it home safe, sound and obviously very happy. Those are great pics. You'll have to give us a detailed trip report when you have time. My son in law has now decided he wants us all to go to Belize in 2012 for winter vacation, so I'm going to start learning as much as I can about it.

MK, it's 63 here too but I don't think it's supposed to last long. And it's very windy!!!

I had a great week this week. I lost 8.2# for the week. But I know I will slow wayyyyy down this week. If I could just lose a couple more before Thurs. I'd be happy.

Oh, Cindy...Love those pictures..especially the one on the mountain or hill..You need to blow that up.. and frame it..

Well, the girls were eating off plan and not happy about the gain, so they hit it hard last week to get down before Tday..

Sandy: You are incredible...I think Belize might be a better choice than Mexico..

MK: I love your avatar..

I was at 150..hitting it really hard before Tday..really, I am..really..I promise.

Oh..I got my "pottery" from my great great grandpas' farm today. It was Blue Willow
from the 1800's..You get it with soap..Of course, it was all in pieces. And the man
also had made a DVD about the history of my family's road..I was impressed and loved to see those beautiful NH trees...and rockwalls..

Ya Cindy, you're safe until normal weigh in time. Just a few of us got panicked with T-Day right around the corner so we went commando on the diet plans, lol. I'm trying to hold tight until the feast day and then jump right back on after until Christmas.

Carolyn, that's so cool to get that history from a complete stranger. What a blessing!

Our 63* went downhill fast around here. I had to go to Cabela's and that wind was roaring at that place and it was cold!! And it kept getting colder too!!

Can I have a month with no drama??? DHOR 28 has to have her eyeball removed due to 2 severe ulcers. The treatment would be long and tedious with a low prognosis of sight returning so I am carting her to a big vets office (read: expensive) today and they are doing her surgery tomorrow and I pick her up.....get this.....on Thanksgiving! So we were going to Tom's sister's in Des Moines but now I have a 20 pound turkey for 2!! No worries. I'll freeze part of it. Lord, can my animals go 6 months without drama??

Cindy - It's like having big expensive children!!
I hope your DHOR does well!

Physical this morning.
My cholesterol is high, but down from February.
I wish I knew what to attribute it to . . . . losing weight maybe?

Anyway - lunch out with 1 group of friends, dinner out with another.
Let's hope I can eat well!
