Thank you so much dear friends!!! Prayers are ever so helpful.
Carolyn, he has the beginnings of dementia and of course is bi-polar, so along with all the health problems, a very hard case to handle. |

Hi ladies..
148 down part of a pound.. Oh, Buffy..I think the right medication is so crucial in these cases. Of course, the AD part is so hard to control...So sad..but God is good.. Wow..MK: that is wonderful on your weigh-in.... Off to exercise, then book club at the library..then to Bible Study..The book is Thanksgiving by Janet E. It's really a very simple story..not much to discuss. |

Thai Yoga is a kind of massage/yoga session.
It felt good! Carolyn - I think I lost lots of water. Day 2 of protein is going well so far! |

Going well here too. I actually like all protein days. You don't have to think much which works for me. I am dreading the challenge tonight but I feel confident I can make it through. I might have a small amount of veggies but I'm passing on all the bad carbs.

We had sloppy joes tonight - so not pure protein but no bread.
I'm sure I won't lose as dramatically tomorrow - but it was great to get rid of the water weight. I'm also not eating after 7:00. |

I did it!!!!!
![]() I had salmon, pork and beef and chicken and a tiny bit of zucchini and broccoli and a side salad with a little bit of ranch dressing. No starches, no desserts! And I felt satisfied!!! I'm sure I had way too much protein but I'm proud of myself nevertheless. |

Morning.
Very busy day here today, our niece is coming in to spend the night and go to her job interview in the morning. And, I finally got my reservations made about midnight last night to go see my brother and I am supposed to leave at 6:am tomorrow. Did a package on Expedia to save money and it took forever to search out a decent hotel in the area I was wanting to stay in, and get a good price. There was a doubletree right near the hospital but about $300 more for the trip, so I opted for a cheaper motel but in a safe area. Trying to keep the cost down as I presume I will be making this trip fairly often. I just wasn't up to driving up and back again, that is a long trip by yourself. He had a good day yesterday I hear. You gals are all doing well with your plans, keep up the good work. Maybe I can walk a lot at the hospital. My cousin is meeting me there to keep me company, for which I am very thankful. Have a great day my dear friends....

Hi ladies..
Good for you, Sandy on eating totally on-plan.. and Donna for staying the same. I was up .5 pound this morning, but I know it was water weight..LOL.. Oh..Buffy, safe travels up north..Take some warm clothes..Cheaper hotels are much better when you are going to be in the hospital most of the time...Hope your niece gets that job...That would be great. Exercised for over an hour this morning..My friend took me out to lunch. I'm not eating any dinner cuz I did eat an eggroll..

Happy Birthday Carolyn!
![]() ![]() I hope your day is perfect in every way. Do you have any big plans?I'm happy and thrilled to report I'm back below my 150 Iron Curtain this a.m. I'm loving these protein days. I think I'll start adding a veggie now at dinner if I want one. I've been eating eggs, bacon, butter, hamburger patty, mayo and steak. Except for the dinner theater day when I added the veggies and the small salad. The best part is I've not even been hungry or had any cravings. It's amazing what happens when you "set your mind" to something, isn't it?

Yay! Sandy!!
I'm up to 118 today. I'm blaming it on the salt from the taco meat last night. I'm eating all my meals at home today though ~ and lots of water! Circuit class finiahed, laundry is running and I'm ready to tackle the kitchen! AND get dinner in the crock pot. |

My body might be built for LC so why do I love carbs so much, lol. I am lucky in that respect. If I eat good I do lose well. The trick is to eat well for longer periods of time, I guess.
I love crab cakes!! Enjoy every morsel. |

Had a nice dinner..Even ordered an appetizer...No dessert. I ordered big shrimp and boy, those shrimp were filling..
Of course, I learned today that our stomachs are the size of two bananas..put together. The Doctors, today... This is very interesting: A man emailed me today..He lives down the road from my greatgreatparents (1840) farmstead, which has burned down. It's in Canterbury, NH and he has been doing research on the area. He found some pottery and is going to send me a piece. Wierd, huh? I guess this is a birthday present from my relatives who are in heaven. |
