10 days of antibiotics on my counter, lots of fluids. He really didn't label it but sore throat, itchy ears, swollen glands in my neck, sinus headache so I am pretty sure it is a sinus infection brought on my allergies.
Thankfully, I don't have much on my schedule for a few days so planning on getting lots of rest.
Thanks my dear friends!!!

Morning!

I'm sniffly! Ick.
I don't have time for a cold!

So I took a Claritin D and I'll be walking with my neighbor at 6:30. Then spin class at 9:15.
I was going to visit my mom today, but I don't want to expose her, so I'll stay home, call her, and then get some stuff done!

Carolyn - you always say the nicest things!

Morning.
Crud about the same, throat still sore, feel like I could sleep 24/7. But, I know the meds will kick in soon. MK, everyone around here seems to have it, allergies and or turning into something more. We did have a frost the other night so maybe that will help.
I must get this house in order today, I have been tossing things here and there since I came home Sunday night and it is a complete mess.
Yay for Rosemary shedding the cone of shame, LOL.
Hi Sandy, Susie and Donna.
Yes, our Carolyn always knows the right thing to say to make us all feel better, is she a good friend??? Or, an enabler, haha. We all know she is a great friend.
Homemade chicken soup does sound good, let me go see what is in the freezer that could be stewed.

Hi gals..

LOL...you gals are so funny..

Yup, those darn things flying around the air are terrible right now. We need a frost, but noone wants one really.

I'm sure Rose is doing great..and her hair will be growing back, too. She'll have a new
lease on life..

I did make some beef/veggie soup..We are having a repeat performance of it tonight.
I had better whip up something LC for dessert, cuz the boys will be searching the
fridge after soup.

Hi everybody. Buffy, get well soon. I was getting a sore throat this weekend but it went away. Thank goodness. I feel like I've been so busy I'm not getting any of my usual stuff done. But busyness is good. It keeps me away from snacking. But going to lunch and drinks does NOT help, lol. But it's so fun.

Cindy, when do you go?? I can't wait to hear all about it when you get home.

Morning.
Tough infection, 2 days of antibiotics and I feel the same. I will give it 5 days and if not better, call the dr., unless it starts getting worse, then will call tomorrow.
Have some office work that must be done today.
Wow MK, that needs to be done here, but alas, neither my DH or I are getting any of the outside work done.
Got a call last night from a niece in Iowa, she is flying down here next week for a job interview and asked if she could stay with us, of course she can, and it will be so fun to see her and catch up on her life.
I did go to dinner club last night since I am not contagious and we were talking about all the grads that are looking for jobs. Young people who graduated from good colleges, some at the top of their class, still looking. So sad.
We planned our December gathering, a carriage ride through a wealthy area of Dallas with beautiful homes, all decorated for Christmas.

Yes, a happy Veteran's Day to our special men and women who served us so bravely..

Hey, its rainy today..We needed it..especially for Dh's bushes he planted..

Cindy: Be careful and have a great time..We love your pictures.

Buffy: Definitely call tomorrow if you aren't better cuz the weekend is upon us..That is so sad about our grads, isn't it? Glad Brett isn't the only one..

Off to Christian Women's Club. I take 2 ladies who don't drive..one had a stroke and the other one can't drive that far..

My weight is horrible..I think I was eating LC tortillas..Maybe I can't eat wheat....

Have fun Cindy and be careful. Can't wait for your trip report when you get back.

I went to Bible study this a.m. and now I'm just trying to do some odds and ends around here pretending like I might catch up, lol. That's not happening today, lol.

Working outside is so hard!
I'm asleep every night by 9:30!

Today is spin class, mani/pedi, lunch with DH, and either back to the garden or off to an outlet mall!
Decisions, decisions!

Cindy - can't wait for pics!

Carolyn - or what are you putting on the tortillas?
Salty stuff?

Buffy - I hope you feel better today!!

Sandy - I'd love to catch up - how do you do that?

Another day of 80°!

Morning.
I am finally feeling much better. Felt better last night but still fell asleep before 10 pm while trying to watch some tv. But, woke up at 3:00 AM and could not get back to sleep, so got up and emptied the dishwasher and cleaned up the kitchen from dinner last night. Finally went back to bed about 6 and napped a little and got back up. I do feel rested finally and throat is not sore this morning, the first time all week it has not been sore. So, by the time I finish the antibiotics I should be good again.

More office work today, am hacking away at it but don't get much done each day and it keeps growing on the other end of my desk.

Have fun Cindy although you probably are on your way by now.

Sandy, I wish pretending would work. I wonder what we would do if we ever got completely caught up? Would we just sit down and wonder if the world was coming to an end???

Any news on Brett yet? Just found out our niece is flying into Dallas next week for an interview, needs a place to stay and I think I might be driving her around, she is not familiar with Dallas and is too young to rent a car. It will be fun to have her here, haven't seen her much since she went to college.

Hi gals..

On the tortilla was egg salad..I'm ditching those things..I have avoided them in the past on a regular basis, but will again..

Brett won't hear for another week or so about going down to TN. I think you have to be 26 to rent a car, and there is a good reason for that..LOL. Did your niece go to a college in Iowa???

Sandy: Any good places to eat Thanksgiving dinner out in KCity? We haven't firm plans, but might see dd and her dh for the day and just go out..She has a bunch of Chinese
people at UMKC that she is working with and has lonnnnnnggg days..They will leave
next week, I think.

I'm sure there are some great places to eat T-giving in KC but sorry, I don't know where. I don't think we've ever eaten T-dinner out. I'll let you know if I see any ads though.

I got up this a.m. and decided to really try to start eating right again. I have gained another couple of pounds and I'm just getting tired of this. So.......here I go again. Pray for me please. I know I need it.

Buffy, glad to hear you're feeling better.

I went to get my mammo today. Oh joy. But really, I'm thankful it was fine. And I have to get another colonoscopy this year so I went to drop my paperwork off in person so maybe they'll schedule me sooner. I really want to get it before the end of the year but with the holidays in there I don't know. He only does them on Thurs and Fridays. I hate the prep!!!!

Thanks, Sandy..We will get the KC paper on Sunday, and I will check there, too..
Will pray for you to eat right..me, too..The weight comes on soooo easily..
I hate the prep for the colonoscopy, too..But if you get it at the end of the year, your deductible might pay for it..Nothing like a free colonoscopy..LOL

Morning.
Carolyn, I think her major is in marketing but I am not sure. She interned in London for a Public Relations firm and I think that is what this Dallas interview if for. She is DH's niece and to be honest, I don't know her really well but she has always seemed like a wonderful young lady.

Going to take DD#3 shopping today. She is depressed about her weight and I want to help her find some new clothes that fit that she will feel good in and good about herself. She needs that right now. The stress of her job is about to do her in.

Other than that, I don't have too much planned for the weekend which is a good thing, I want to get a few more things done in the office. As soon as I feel up to a trip, I want/need to get to Omaha, DB is not doing well, I am suspecting he has had another stroke, sometimes he makes sense and sometimes he doesn't and now he has aspiration pneumonia and is back in the hospital, he doesn't sound good at all.

Hi..

I can't remember if I have seen the Drowsy Chaperone or not..is it an English comedy??
Thanks for the invite..LOL.. Mary Kay, you do need a colonoscopy...really..The prep is not fun, but the rest is a breeze..Has your dh had one???

Buffy: She sounds like a really special gal..hope she has a good interview and gets the job.

Avoided the church bazaars this morning..went exercising.

Big game..MO versus KState..I think it will be a good game if KSU plays well..

We are going to see Mark Twain..that impersonator, tonight. I know Brett will
enjoy it as he loves dry humor.

Hey all!
was back to 172 this morning but have a huge tummy ache.

Recipe:
1 onion - browned in 2 tbsn butter
1 lb all natural pork sausage browned
4 oz cream cheese
mix all together into filling. (if i would have had spinach - it would have gone in)
stuff into portabellos which i salted & peppered.
top w/ cheddar cheese (or whatever kind of cheese you like)
bake at 375 for 25 - 30 min.

way to yummy!!!!
