I'm thinking about a hair cut. Does that count?

I was right......up 6# from last year. Maybe that will motivate me to get it back off. Amazing what numbers in front of you and other people can do for motivation. I hope.

Just got an email from one of DD's this morning who is doing the medifast plan, her counselor had told her to start coming in every 2 weeks to weigh in instead of every week and she found it didn't work as well, she said she was slipping knowing she didn't have to weigh in as often. So, yes, it can be very motivating. One of my friends always loses weight when she goes to WW's, not by actually following the plan but by knowing she has to weigh in each week.

Hi ladies..

Was still at 149, but hope to be back down to 147 by next week..

Weight finds us easier as we age..

Every year we lose more muscle and we can't eat as much..

So sad.

Weighing in front of others is very motivating. I have a friend who is going to the doctor and is on a protein plan and has lost lots of weight. Hopefully, she can keep it off this time. She is youngish and needs to be healthy.

Visited Mom today, shopped at Toys R Us for Christmas, and the health food store.
Drove home, walked the dog for about 45 minutes and almost have the DW emptied.

Such an exciting life!

And I HAVE to weigh every day - it keeps me on track!

Hi Carolyn!

After DD24 left, I walked by myself for a long time. that's when i started putting books on my IPod.

Early Fall, my neighbor started going with me, then she noticed her pants were fitting better and now she's hooked.
I actually miss my IPod!

Look around, I bet there's someone there to walk with, or start out on your own!

LOL..I could find someone if I really tried..LOL..I have an Ipod, too..However, much of the road is desolate..

so I might be a little nervous.

Akk..Ds came home with a speeding ticket just now..and he didn't have his upgraded
insurance card with him..He was going 30 in a school zone..So, he went to our agent to
get the recent card (he had insurance, but not the current card). Then he is going to plead his case to the cops. I told him to take his checkbook with him..

I totally understand that! I won't walk on the bike trail alone because it makes me nervous. I do city streets with sidewalks if i have my IPod on.

L -1/3 lb burger w/ salad
D -2 pork chops for dinner.
S - unsweetened Almond Milk w/ Truvia

wasn't really hungry for the breakfast but wanted to eat so i wouldn't get dizzy at Yoga. stopped at Whataburger on the way. LOVE their website - you can customize the food - including removing the bun. very handy. (Whataburger is a Texas thang - but oh so YUMMY!)

lots of sodium too. will be a 'skip the scale' morning!!!

Oh Cindy, how exciting!!! I hope you are full of details and loaded with pics when you get back. How big is the boat and how did you find this trip? What a wonderful idea. I'm sure you're going to love every minute. How long have you been diving? My DH used to want to dive but I've always been too nervous about doing it. I love the water and the beach but I am afraid in open water. But I know people who love it! So I'll enjoy it vicariously through you if that's ok. Lol.

I've been so busy today. This is the first time I've been online all day long! I have a pretty much nothing day tomorrow and I'm looking very forward to it.

Hello Donna, good to have a name for you. Sounds like you are doing well and congrats on the new low.
Carolyn, I got a speeding ticket in NE when I drove up to Omaha. And, I may be coming again soon, my brother is back in yet another hospital, blood sugar swinging from dangerous lows to dangerous highs, blood pressure sky high. And, he is on a manic high, so he is really messed up right now. I can't get him on the phone, before he went to the hospital, he was never in his room at the assisted living, or one night, he did pick up the phone, then went to find a comfortable chair and never came back to the phone. Seems like he is going downhill quickly, when I called night before last, his blood sugar had gotten so low he couldn't even talk on the phone, I talked to an aide. Sigh...
Will be home today, got hair and nails done yesterday, today laundry and office and get ready to go to Austin for the weekend for the baby shower of my grandbaby due in December.

MK, are you into the candy corn too???? I don't know why I did it, but TJ Maxx had their jelly belly brand of autumn mix marked down and I never even liked candy corn until I found that brand of it, I can't keep my fingers from wandering over to it and I shouldn't even be eating it. I took the other bag to my hairdresser yeserday.

Dinner was good..I had steak and chicken kabobs with veggies. I had a garlic roll, so we are even..

Dh is looking at a bigger tv..He can't see the numbers on the KSU players..LOL..We have an oldfashioned one downstairs..Of course, that means a new tv cabinet, too..We are well overdo on that, but trying to find one that is not more than the tv is a problem..LOL

Update on DB, he is back at the assisted living center but talking out of his head, I have never ever heard him talk like he was tonight, he was buying and selling real estate, cars, antiques and told me he had 2 lawyers who were getting him out of that place. I am calling my niece this morning to see if he mental Dr. is aware of what is going on, surely there is something they could give him to bring him down. I am afraid he is worse off than I had thought, my SIL had him way overdosed but I am beginning to think that this is the reason why, I feel so bad for him.
Off to Austin today to spend the evening with DS and DDIL. DD#2 and I are driving down together with the baby and DD#3, DSIL and DGS10 are already there. We will have a good time.

Oh yes Carolyn, get a flat screen and hang it, they are awesome.

Oh dear..your poor db. He does need a good doctor with a good diagnosis with
correct meds. Will the assisted living take him to the doctors? I hope he can still
stay there, sometimes AL places aren't as tolerate as nursing homes..(been there, done that).

Dh is looking at a bigger tv..He can't see the numbers on the KSU players..LOL..We have an oldfashioned one downstairs..Of course, that means a new tv cabinet, too..We are well overdo on that, but trying to find one that is not more than the tv is a problem..LOL

Update on DB, he is back at the assisted living center but talking out of his head, I have never ever heard him talk like he was tonight, he was buying and selling real estate, cars, antiques and told me he had 2 lawyers who were getting him out of that place. I am calling my niece this morning to see if he mental Dr. is aware of what is going on, surely there is something they could give him to bring him down. I am afraid he is worse off than I had thought, my SIL had him way overdosed but I am beginning to think that this is the reason why, I feel so bad for him. Off to Austin today to spend the evening with DS and DDIL. DD#2 and I are driving down together with the baby and DD#3, DSIL and DGS10 are already there. We will have a good time. Have a great weekend everyone. Oh yes Carolyn, get a flat screen and hang it, they are awesome.

I'm sure we will get a flatscreen, but need a cabinet for my Wii..LOL.. Oh dear..your poor db. He does need a good doctor with a good diagnosis with correct meds. Will the assisted living take him to the doctors? I hope he can still stay there, sometimes AL places aren't as tolerate as nursing homes..(been there, done that). Hugs all around.
