WOW! I don't know. That may be a YMMV thing. I mean, you could lose the weight, but then what. I'm a big meat eater, especially for a girl (not a girl here but your average girl) and even I would get tired of that program but I'm a big preacher that everyone has to do what works for them. It would be so easy if one size fits all!

exactly. I think that when we talk about 'metabolism' what we really mean is 'the body's insulin reaction to food ingestion'. some of us have a stronger reaction than others.

Hello dear friends.
Lola, so good to see you and a big Congrats on losing 25 lbs. I tried the zero carb thing and lost several lbs really quickly but I didn't stick with it, typical of me I am afraid. I know many eat that way and seem to be very healthy and do well on it. Cindy, poor little Rose, her cone of shame, ahhhh. Poor kitty. I got home from DD's last night after midnight, they had an evening flight in from San Franciso. Had a great time keeping the 2 yo and the 9 month old but wow, I could not have done it without the nanny coming from 9-5 each day. Just getting them fed, put to bed, the house picked up and then the morning routine wore me out. Busy, busy, busy little creatures they are. The baby learned to crawl up the stairs while they were gone and I didn't have the gate, so had to watch her like a hawk. And, the 2 year old loves his little sister but really doesn't understand that he can't be rough with her and his idea of "playing" with her is pretty rough, so had to really watch out on that as well. But, we had a wonderful time and the baby bonded even more with Mema so that was great. Which board is covering the kinkins thing? I haven't kept up with that but am aware of what happened. Sounds like you all have been busy busy busy too. MK, will next year be your first year of empty nesting? My oldest DD will be that way as well, DGD went to college this year and DGS will be off next year. Did a little fall clothes shopping during the day while at DD's house, Chico's had a good sale going on, I love their things and if you are patient, they go on sale eventually. Got the most comfortable pair of flats I have ever had I think, I got them at Nordstroms, they are AGL brand, or Attilio Biusti Leombruni and the clerk talked me into trying them on, said she had sold 15 pairs the day before, well, I loved them as well so perhaps I was number 16 but talk about comfort. Wow. And, with some style, they didn't look like your typical comfort shoe. Should be home for a while, I hope so, I am about worn out from running around, and behind on things at home. Keep us updated on Kimkins. Oh Carolyn, I googled for large glass company in Dallas and there were several listed so not much help on that, but gee, you could come see me! Yay! Susie, how is the HCG going? Is 204 your new low? Fantastic!!!!! Hi Cndy dearest... BBL

Hi..
Off to my ticket selling today.. Well, recruiters call, but there have been no interviews set up..It is an extremely difficult job market for new grads..75 percent of new grads are now living back at home.. But we know God has a plan and we can still afford to feed the boy..LOLTotal gag order on the Kimkins thing until it is settled..It's hard to wait, but we don't want the waters mucked up. Buffy: You are the bestest mema ever.. Hugs all around..Check in later. |

Morning peeps.
Beautiful, chilly day here in TX. Had to turn the heat on in the house. My kind of weather though, I have to survive the heat to have these lovely falls and mild winters. You are right Carolyn, the job market for college grads is dim. MK, better be careful what you wish for when your nest is empty, it could soon be full again as they all get through school ![]() I know several grads that are still looking or working at just anything that isn't even near their field. DGD is adjusting to college life, good thing she went close to home, it was still a little rough on her and she is in a dorm room with 2 others, 3 girls in a tiny room is pretty hard to adjust to when you have always had your own room and just 1 sibling. Her little friend who went to Omaha to school is really having a rough time adjusting, I think she is going to move back to Kearney before the 2nd semester, she is shy so is really having a hard time meeting friends and her mom promised her she would get her financial aid papers filled out and sent in and DIDN'T, so she is working and just barely scraping by, having a rough time of it. Oldest of 4 kids and the parent's don't have any extra to help her out. Yesterday I nabbed DH and got him to go along with me to return some items, he wasn't busy and it makes it so handy when he just drops me off and picks me up. Then we ended up at our local place for a couple of drinks and dinner, so had a nice day. Today is pick up the house day, get organized and get laundry done. Will catch up in the office next week. And, tonight, DGS is having a baseball game so I plan on going to that. Well, the good news is that now my weight seems to stubbornly stay at 208 or so, can't get the scale to show me 207. But, for the longest time, it was determined to stick on 210 so I guess that is progress, although very slow progress. Next goal I guess is 207 peeping out at me one morning. |

Hi ladies..
Buffy, I forgot where your DGD is going to college..This is a very common story here for kids who move away to college, then move back to go to the local Jr. College...sorry for your dgd's little friend.. and no money is no fun.Great on the weight, too. 10:30 PT there should be a verdict from the Kimkins scandal. Yikes..November 1st is our next monthly challenge..I'm going to have to do some more aerobics for the Sunday weigh-in. |

Oh yes..she has that disease where hair doesn't grow. So, she wears a wig..except one time when the PI was looking up in her window, he say a person without any hair..so he knew she was bald..

Where is the Kimmers thread, I can't remember, CRS is getting worse and worse.
Carolyn, DGD is going to Kearney, NE, close to home and quite a few of her fellow classmates going there as well. Makes it easier. |

Morning gals. Down another 2#s since last week, happy with the drops but now we enter the season when snacks and junk are irresistible.
Heidi had to have been shocked at the verdict so what did she do when she went home yesterday? Hopped on her machine and started posting things so it doesn't sound so bad. As i said over there, shes a train wreck that just keeps going and going. |

Thanks for the link, interesting, very interesting.
Wow Susie, you are smoking that weight off girl... OK, where did you get the drops and how do you use them? Maybe I need to give them a whirl. Game was cancelled last night and rescheduled for tomorrow, which will be nice to have them during the day. Finally getting rested up from all my running around, I think. I need to go to the grocery store today and return a couple of more items, then caught up on that type of thing. Might sneak a movie in too. |

Just curious Susie, since these have worked so well, why are you going to try the other brand? I am going to get some, maybe they will help me move on down a little. Thanks much!!!

Hi ladies..
Wow..the Kimmer thing ended so wonderfully..I wish we could get this "story" on Fox or some news place..or 20/20 or something. Went to a huge parade this morning with lots of bands. They have a band competition in our park this afternoon..Had a bratwurst..I'm sure I will be UP for this month, but I'll take it and get back to normal eating tomorrow.. Susie: Wowowow..are you finding it hard to do on your low days???? Hugs all around.. |

I wanted to compare as one brand is cheaper. I want to use the least expensive (but most effective) brand.
