I weighed early this week out of morbid curiosity. Lost another 2#. Then daughter took us out to Outback last night and a Bloomin onion jumped into my face. No weigh today for my 'official' once a week!

I need a Cone of Shame for this week of Neewollah..Starting Wednesday our downtown is full of food carts, Blooming Onions, etc..Hard to resist..

Rosemary may eat more quickly if she is hungry..but drinking is another problem..They drink when they feel like it..Yes, a cat sitter is in order, I'm sure.

Now, Monday is the day that our LCF ladies go to court in California in the infamous Kimkins Scandal..Check in the FWK thread on Sunday and lend your support if you
want..They would love it.

My weight was down another pound untill this weekend - I'll weight much later next week!

We went to Fleming's last night for dinner!
OMG - So amazing!!
The steak was like buttah!

But really expensive - not some thing we'd do every night, though i wish we could!
I had steak, asparagus, and a salad.
Plus a margatini - part margarita, part martini!
So good!

Went to the Milwaukee Public Museum today.
Fun!!!!
There's even a Butterfly Room where you can go in and play with them!
They land on your finger, shoulder, etc.
We took some pics,
You even have to be checked before you go out the door as some try to escape!

Dinner tonight at one of our favorite pizza places - Martys.
I had a burger (no pizza, of course!)

Then to TJ Maxx - I found Strivectin!
DSW - some great clogs!
A cute little shop downtown where I found 2 bracelets, and to Barnes and Noble!
Hopefully to the Elegant Farmer tomorrow and then home.

DS18 has been staying with DS21 so everyone's been having fun!

Yes, Heidi will go to court tomorrow..A group of gals are flying in..Gran to angels is always good to post results..Hopefully, we will get pictures of them outside the courthouse.

My friend's bday..I made the HCarb Paula Deen's Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake..I might have a tiny bit..I'm leaving the rest at her house, for sure.

I wish all of those gals well! Way back in the day I wanted to get involved but hubby advised me to stay out of it. I guess he couldnt understand the whole complexity of the fraud, etc. Im glad she is finally going to court tho and cant wait to hear the news!

Hi ladies..

Well, the ducks thing started a long time ago, when Heidi mentioned something about being afraid of ducks..I'll have to find it in the archives.

A recruiter called Brett for a job in Dallas..a very large glass manufacturer??? Buffy???
The recruiters never tell the name of the company because they want the commission, which is understandable, but we were curious.

OMgoodness..that gooey butter cake was sinful..and my big splurge for the weekend.
Honestly, it does need vanilla ice cream with it to cut the richness.

Suzy: I didn't bother explain it to my dh..Dh's sometimes don't get it, ya know???
I wish she would go to jail and not collect $200..

Trial starts 8:30 am..The court was too full today..So, the judge will be nice and fresh.
Heidi hadn't made it, but she will be there tomorrow..for sure.

Well, it is encouraging, but it will take a long time to find good openings for him..

I went to see Dad this a.m. Took him to get a few groceries and got all his "stuff" caught up. He's been gone for 3.5 weeks and now is going to tackle the garage. Ha!

Hello you lovely ladies! Just a quickie to share my news

Since the last time I popped up on the EFGT boards I've gone pretty hardcore and am now a fully fledged zero carber - lost 25lbs!!! I'm so happy - with the weightloss, the lack of hunger and cravings, the simplicity etc etc! I feel like a new person. I still have a way to go to goal but I'm sure I'll get there - this is kinda easy

Oh - and you may remember I became obsessed with kimkins - well I'm too excited right now to hear the verdict this week. Good luck to all the ducks! May HD get exactly what she deserves...

Yes, they entered the nursing home last Friday afternoon and hopefully are settling in. His dad is complaining about everything, but he's complained about everything for 84 years. I doubt he'll stop now. I warned DH beforehand to expect it and if he doesn't demand to leave he should just let it go and see how it ends up going. Thanks for asking.

I made a pumpkin gooey cake too and it was yummy!! I have a very high tolerance for rich food.

Not a good trait to have, obviously.

I have something to go to tonight..It's a Queen Neelah pageant..like a beauty contest for the Queen of Neewollah..High school seniors take part. Dd didn't do it, but ds was a stage escort a few years back. So....I'll be anxious to hear the Kimkins news when I get back.

Well, things went downhill fast and DH's cousin is the admin. of the n. home so I'm sure that helped. And the Dr. was totally on board. It's really waaayyyy past time so I'm sure that was very obvious to all concerned as well. I hope it does work out well for everybody. They sure could stand some peace as well as everybody else.

Well, I think this is often the case with older peeps..and from what you have shared about your dh's mom's condition, it was past due. It's nice that they have a family member there..That means attention to care for them, I would think.

Court went well today..the gals can't say much until it is over. It will resume tomorrow afternoon.

Carolyn (you skinny thing!) the only time I eat vegetables of any sort is if I'm eating out, and then it's usually salad, but at home I don't bother. I used to be a ten portions a day girl too!

I'd love to be a fly on the wall of that courtroom!
