Hello dear friends!
Well, our guest arrived Sunday eve, an old classmate of DH's and she is a wonderful houseguest, very very comfortable to have as a guest. Yesterday we took her to the 6th floor museum in honor of President Kennedy, which she truly enjoyed, it is good, they give an audio tour of it. We spent about 4 hours there, then took her to the local Elk's lodge for happy hour and then out for TX ribs. Visited over coffee this morning and she just left to go visit the friend she actually came to TX to see. She will be here again tonight and then leaves tomorrow. Then, I get ready for my 2 cousins and a friend of theirs who will arrive next Sunday night, they will be here almost a week and during that time, we are going on a road trip to Corpus Christi, TX. When we return from that, I go to DD#2's to babysit for 5 days, so whew, there went October.
They were supposed to move DB into an assisted living center yesterday, I am waiting on a phone call to hear how the move went and to get a new phone number for him. He was upset about not having any say in where he was going so I am anxious about how the move went.
Cindy, DC looks lovingly cared for as I know she is, you are a good mommy.
Wow, I don't know how Beth did that???? 500 people...
On the SS, I decided to wait until full age, 66 to collect, probably the wrong decision but we still work part time so I opted to wait and get a little bigger check, so I won't draw that until next year.

I was down to 253 this morning. The protein is hard to balance because so many good fats have protein in them. Maybe I should just invest in some virgin coconut oil when i get paid and make some yummy dark chocolate coconut bark if I can figure it out.

We just got home from DGD's 12th birthday party. It was very nice. Plus I got new pics from her and DGS for this year. DGS is getting his senior pics taken this week as well. He hates to smile in pics so we'll see how those turn out. I hope they trick him into a smile.

Buffy, how do I get a reservation at this wonderful B & B you're running. You sound like a delightful hostess! And your life always sounds so full and fun too. I don't think I could keep up with you girl!

I had a very full day today but don't really feel like I got much done in the end. I did go to the gym yesterday and am planning on hitting it again tomorrow too. Baby steps.

FYI: On the national news channel theyre showing those 33 miners being rescued in Chile. What an ordeal and I pray all goes perfectly!

Yes, we were watching this..Those guys are amazing..People are going to clamor for interviews with them, etc. I don't think they will know what hit them..Hope they adjust quickly and get out safely.

Morning gals! Up to 9 miners out, God bless them!

Am down 3#s since Sat, in my little HHCG experiment. Since I was already under 20 carbs Im thinking this has got to represent fat losses and not water. My initial feelings are I have greatly reduced hunger and cravings due to the HHCG which may be how it works? All I know is being on 2 types of insulin, releasing fat had become a tad difficult.

resumes in hand...They have booths of companies and this is a good way to meet

Have not changed my eating habits. I was UP to 151 on Monday, but down to 149 this morning, but that can be from being "good", too. If I go below my Iron Curtain of 147, It will be a miracle..

Exercise, then reading, then WWagon calls..(and maybe catch a salad with Dianne)..

I'm going to the gym again and walking the dog and then I really need to pay some attention to my house. And after the bd party last night my weight is up too. Yuck.

Yes, paying attention to the house/laundry makes me feel better..LOl..

Made some stew for tomorrow night..have to work selling tix all day, so I'll have something all ready..I put turnips in there instead of the taters..I wonder if anyone will notice. I'm hoping the stew juice will absorb into the turnips.

Hmmm...pumpkin pancakes..I have made some LC ones years back..They are very good..

Brett got back from Wichita..didn't see any deer on the road..400 is famous for deer hopping in front of you. There was a possible job in Colwich, KS..We'll see..

My house ended up not getting any attention. But I did get a load of laundry done and I did make it to the gym and for my walk. I was sidetracked for about an hour with a phone call from my BFF. She leaves tomorrow for 13 days in Spain with her family. Her youngest grandson is getting baptized there. His daddy is Spanish.

I love turnips. I bet nobody notices.

I have a dinner meeting tonight. It's always something isn't it?
