When I lived in Europe (hub was military) I knew gals way back in the 1970s that lost gobs of weight on HCG shots. Since then they found that you can put homeopathic hcg drops under your tongue 3 times a day and get good appetite suppression and fat burning. I am doing it a little different than the original protocol as there are quite a few gals out there who are losing well even tho they were not following the super strict protocol rules. Also LCF admin will now allow us to now talk about brands of hhcg drops and what works for us. Not prices or where we get them tho.

Morning.
Susie, keep us updated on how the HCG drops work, I have read about the shots, my stepdaughter told me that her mom knew several people who lost a lot of weight using the shots but I haven't heard about the drops. There are some weight loss clinics that do the shots.

BF called me about a week ago and said she wanted to take me to dinner last night for my birthday, she and I usually either do lunch together or dinner for our birthdays. She picked me up and said we had to run by another one of my dinner club buds to sign up for some Excel and Word classes we want to take, so I gamely said fine since I want to get in on those classes when they take them. Well, it was a fabulous surprise party for ME!!! All but 2 of the dinner club buds were there plus one of my DD's and my stepdaughter. I was very surprised as they threw a surprise party on my 60th and even last year, made a big deal of my birthday. They are the best friends ever and we had so much fun, they made caramel apple martinis, yum, they were good, and all kinds of food, etc., really fun, cute gifts, cake, they did it up big. I felt so honored, they still call me Mama bunco since I started the group 15 years ago as a bunco group and I am the oldest member now of what has turned into the dinner club group. We all live in Denton County, TX so now we call ourselves the Real Housewives of DC.

Have to finish up getting ready for our guest who arrives later today. Have a great day everyone.

What some of the girls are doing and I decided to follow is basically Atkins (lc) with calorie switching. 1500 one day, 900 the next, you know, mix it up. They swear it keeps the body guessing and you do not get a lowered metabolism. Some of the gals "load" where you eat high fat the 1st two days you use the drops, something to do with helping to suppress hunger before the hcg drops kick in to suppress appetite and burn fat. I didnt do that. Just started right off at 1400 (yesterdays calories) and see if I can stick to all the switching. So far not really any hunger. time will tell! There are quite a few gals who really have done well! Here is another gal who started in July and has done wonderfully. Finally making progress with hhcg

Hi gals..

Raindrops were falling on my head when I was at WalMart loading my groceries into the car.. But, I'm nice and dry now and the boys carried in the groceries.. Thankful we have an attached garage.

Thanks, Susie for the information..I think your plan is very doable..Anxious to hear how you do.

My mom and my BFF did those shots back in the late 70s and they both lost a ton of weight. They also took diet pills IIRC. I know my mom was a house cleaning machine for the first couple of weeks on that diet, lol. Super charged!! I'll have to investigate further.

Happy Birthday Buffy!! What great friends you have. I'd love to have a dinner group like that. I guess I really already do but ours is a dinner/theater group and only has 6 gals. We do have a lot of fun when we get together. Nothing better than gal pals.

It's starting to sprinkle here now. We went to visit the in-laws today and I got filled up with pollen and dust! I sure hope it doesn't bring on a bad allergy attack. All I smell is dust and can't seem to get rid of it. I even rinsed my sinuses out. Sorry, TMI. But still feeling like I can only smell dust. It's so dry right now we could really use the rain. And a lot of peeps were harvesting on the way down to the country.

Tell Beth I'll be sure to add her to my prayers. I'm sure she'll do great.

You go, girl!

Saw Secretariat with my barn girls last night. Good movie but I think you have to be somewhat of a horse person to really get into it.

DC17 doing well if I can keep her out of her stitches. They had to glue the incision a bit on Sat as she was obsessing over them.

Hi and good morning everyone..

Buffy, you do need to celebrate.. It's a big "savings"..Now you can do more shopping and help the economy..LOL.

Susie: Is your dh still working? My dh probably won't retire for a couple of years..He's 64 this November.

AKKKK...I didn't step on the scales for about 4-5 days, then was totally shocked this morning at 151..EEEKKK..So, back on plan. That weight just grabs you and sticks
to ya like sticky spaghetti.

Yes it sure does Carolyn. I'm so tired of fighting this same 5# over and over and over. But I'm thankful at least that it rarely goes above the 5# cushion. I'm sure I'll be fighting it until the day I die.

My DH won't retire until he's 66 or 67 either. I bet he never really retires but he'll call it that, lol.

OK I think this is the plan I want. I've looked at atkins and hCG. Atkins I stall a lot on and the 500 cal limit on hcg was killing me.

I'm at 255 today. My goal is 140.

I still have hcg drops. I guess they'll just got to waste. You're not supposed to eat fat on hcg, right? Doesn't it make you gain if you do a high fat diet?

Carolyn, hubby retired 2003. We did the pro and cons of early SS retirement and so we decided that since he already receives his work pension that this was doable for us, even with the slightly reduced amount (due to chosing the age 62). We're having a ball!

I'm not sure about the Hcg/fat connection.. I know with Simeon's protocol you can't have any fat the first go round.

Welcome..Watch your protein on this plan..

that's the hard part is watching the protein. so many good meats with lots of fat and little protein and avocados are $$$$$. i'll just sit down and eat whipped cream all day. j/k blech

Good for you!

Exercised this morning - met the boys at the doc, ran errands with DS21 and then took him to lunch.

Now home and doing laundry.

Oh Cindy, what a sore little kitty! That is the one thing about cats and dogs, they fastidiously clean their stitches and undo them. We had to put a cone-collar on our dearly departed Lab when she wouldnt leave a wound alone. Youre a good momma!

I'm doing laundry too. Remember that song: This is the way you do the wash, do the wash, do the wash. This is the way you do the wash all on a Monday morning. Now that' sure showing my age, lol.

Carolyn, have you used the Hcg drops? I need to go read about them I guess.

Well, I bought 2 bottles of the Hcg drops..Used one and can't remember the results.
I think I'll just use up the ones I have in the other bottle for the fun of it and just eat the same..

Great minds think alike..I was thinking of doing the wash on Mondays, too..My minlaw always did, then she ironed on Tuesday. God Bless her soul.. She was a wonderful
ironer and when she would visit, she always ironed Gary's shirts..

If you are interested in Beth's big deal, you can goggle UMKC Bloch School Entrepreneurial Dinner..She has 500 peeps coming.

Hi ladies..

Well, down a pound...to 150.. I think it was that breaded stuff I had last week and no weighing in can get me in deep trouble..I need accountability, for sure..

After her "big" night tonight, they are leaving for a wedding in Florida on Thursday morning. This will be a nice relaxing time for Beth and Shawn..

Birthday luncheon for one of my exercise gals..Chinese, of course..I will eat lightly.
