Mary Kay, I frantically tried to turn the flash off on my phone so I could. But Im all thumbs!! My flash is not only bright but there is a definite "CLICK!" when it goes off. Mr. Buffet does not live too far from where I live, lives in a very modest house. The only "WOW" car that was in the parking lot when we left was a Cadillac which made us wonder if it was his? LOL

Coffee with celebrities. Wow~!!
I went to Bible study and got 1/2 my errands done. I stopped at the thrift store and found 6 audio books for only $1 each!! And a KU sweatshirt. The way they've been playing, those might get cheap. Oh, that's not nice is it? Good luck to K-State tonight. |

Susi, I swear I wouldn't know what Warren Buffet looked like if I tripped over him!
Rose is doing well. She likes her narcotics. She is walking well and purring so it was the right thing to do. Oh, Lord, our furbabies! |

How exciting to see Warren in person.. We saw Jeffrey Beszos (?) Amazon guy in Seattle at a breakfast meeting with all his head honchos. He is very animated..LOL.. So, glad little Rose is doing so well.. KSU is going to have to earn those points tonight.. |

Morning!
I really admire Warren Buffet, he is very wealthy because he has his head on straight, LOL. Got my errands ran yesterday, first stop to see the office where I got the last of my filler put in my face, I swear, my head must have been hollow. It took more filler than she first suggested for the results I wanted. It is just plain vanity but I just wanted to look more rested and less saggy in my face and eyes and this seems to have done the job, now hopefully it will just take some touchups every year or 18 months. Today my face is a little swollen and I have a few small brusies so can't tell the end result just yet. And, I continue with my new Obagi skin care system, which I have to say I don't like using because I love makeup and wearing makeup and while you are on this, you skin peels and flakes and makeup doesn't look very good, but they keep telling me I will end up with firmer, less wrinkly skin. And, no more age spots, that is as long as I keep slathering on the sunscreen. Ah, what price beauty, LOL. Than on to get hair cut/color and a fun visit with my hairdresser whom I adore. The major modeling agency in Dallas signed my 2 little grandbabies last week and yesterday my DD#2 took DGS 2 to get his "head shots" done. They are so cute, I can't see why anyone would not choose him for their ads, LOL. If he makes it into any ads, I will let you all know. He insisted that PupPup, his little stuffed dog that we gave him for his 1st birthday be in all the shots, so who knows, maybe PupPup will get some work as well, haha. Cindy, glad your kitty cat is doing well and I like those narcotics they give you for surgery as well, love that drifting off feeling, ahhhhhhh. Carolyn, you are certainly right about putting in a whole day working, I hate to think of having to do that anymore and feel bad when I see older retired people having to be on their feet all day working. Sandy, I just listened to "Girl in Transition" on my way to Omaha and back, about a chinese girl and her mother who came to the US and the hardships they endured, it was an excellent book. DD#2 has an account with an online audio place and I can dload any that she has purchaed. You got a fabulous deal for $1 a book. MK, another birthday to celebrate, yay! I have the big, huge ole 65 coming up next week! DD#3 said we had to celebrate big since it was a major one, I told her I celebrated big on Oct. 1st. when my medicare and supplement insurance kicked in and I finally got out of paying the almost $800 a month for health insurance that I had been paying and that was for a $5,000 deductible. I was in the TX high risk pool and being self employed sucks when it comes to insurance. Have a great day my dear friends..... ![]()

Carolyn, I've not heard of it but I'll ask DH. That's more his forte. Good luck to him. And how true about those cows. Just like the old days. I guess everything old is new again at some point.
MK, cute pic. Buffy, you're so brave! I don't want anything in me that didn't come in me, lol. I'm afraid of bad results. I've seen a few. And that's all it took to put the fear in me. But I've seen some very good ones too which I'm sure yours is. I just always think if it can happen, it'll happen to me! Question: When you all take a 2 layer cake to a bake sale, how do you wrap it? I've been begging the last few times at the bakery dept. for the cake takers but I think they're getting tired of seeing me, lol. I think the cake needs to be visible and I don't want the frosting to stick so????? Help. I'm going to ask on the PG too.

Since we were just talking about him~
Howard Buffett Foundation this morning announced the matching grant of $100,000 to the WSOY Community Food Drive. Donations from 11 am forward will be matched by the grant, the largest donation in the history of the nine-year event. The food drive runs until 6:30 pm at Kroger on U.S. 36. It'll be a great boost to our food drive!! |

I'm making that Paula Deen pumpkin pie with almond crust on the Recipe Bulletin Board..I found an extra can of pumpkin from last year and keep forgetting to get some when I shop. MK: Love that picture of you two..Plus you will have another senior night at Swim Team. Or he is not doing that this year? Sandy: I think Enercon is opening an office in OPark..in a corporate area. Their hqs are in Tulsa.. Brett's car has been in the shop all summer long..This is the second one.. There should be a show for cars Mystery Diagnosis.Buff: We would love to see a picture of your cute little face... Susie: Does Warren do his own grocery shopping? LOL.. How is Miss Rose today, Cindy? |

Carolyn, you asked if Warren does his own shopping? This I do not know but he has only had a body guard for a few years now, after someone knocked on his front door and tried to rob him! I also read somewhere that his daughter Susan asked him for a loan once and he told her no. LOL!?
Hello to everyone else, I read all the posts but just do not get around to commenting on all of them. We are an interesting bunch!! Happy Weekend gals! |

Pie was good..I left out the water..
On the 2 layered cake question..I would put some toothpicks in the top and gently wrap Saran around it. It's not the fanciest "look", but it keeps it from getting sneezed on. Peeps love a 2 layered cake.. Brett did okay at his interview..He was the 4th one there..He said there were alot of grey headed men there looking for work.. I guess they don't know about Lady Clairol..No kidding.Well, Warren is probably not a "high roller" by spending all his money. That's why he still has it, Susie..Have you started your HCG yet? Drive by hello. DH had a call from a high school friend, she has to come to Dallas for 3 days for a funeral of a friend and she is staying with us, so lots to be done by tomorrow night. I usually only have family who visit, but she is very nice, I am sure I will be ok,

Good morning, ladies.
Sandy: Okay..Hcg is a substance that peeps use to lose weight on a specialized diet. Google Simeon's Protocol. Some doctors inject their patients with it daily for a month, then give them a special diet to follow..Lowfat/lowcalorie for P1 and then you go through other phases. The thing about Hcg is that it will not mess up your metabolism when you go on a lowcalorie diet. But, there are also drops peeps can buy at netrition, etc. and use it that way. We will have to ask Susie what she is going to eat on her plan, cuz I don't think she is following the Simeon's plan.. Up and Adam.. I chatted with dd Beth last night..She has had some Chinese dignitaries at UMKC, Bloch School, who are going to set up a recruiting station in China for the University. There were 8 of them, so she planned the food for them, etc..She really enjoyed it, but was very tired. Now, she has her big fundraiser on Tuesday at the Hyatt..She asked for prayers for that one.. |
