Long day today!
Thought I had a flat. Had to get a GF to drive me to my hair cut and color and then to my PEO meeting. Then had to get someone from there to drive me to Talbot's to shop with DD23. Soccer team lost and DD23 is watching a movie with DBF instead of coming home to walk. Taking DD23 to the airport tomorrow . . . . ![]() Quote:

Hi all.
Got back late last night from Omaha and just skimmed everyone's posts. Glad to be back but a very good trip, DB is doing quite well but kind of a hornets nest exploding around him right now, SIL talking trash about him to doctors, so I got involved to try to show other side of things, one sister thinks it is none of my business, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, DB was sooo happy to see me and have me there with him most of the weekend. Also got to see DD#1 and my cousin and spend some time with them. Not sure when I will be going back up. Hope everyone is well, Cindy, best to DC. Carolyn, sorry to hear about Brett's last job thing but the right one will come along. MK, glad you got to have DD home for a short visit. Hi Sandy and Susie. Susie, my cousin and I ate lunch out at a place called Fire something, a grill, by the new shops on on W center I think is where we were. There was a Coldwater Creek, a Pandora jewelry and lots of nice shops there. The food there was very very good. My cousin and I both stopped in just to browse at the Pandora shop and ended up both getting starter bracelets, geez, I am so easily swayed, I don't need that but they are lovely. I got the bracelet and 1 bead, LOL. Figured that will give DH and family something to give me for gifts. Talked to DS last night, their baby is due in 2 months and they think they have a name picked out, Oliver???? Will take a little getting used to but I also know that the minute you hold a baby in your arms, the name becomes right and you love it so if that is what they decide on, I know Mema will cherish her little Oliver as I do all my others. ![]() ![]() Better get busy, so much to do after being gone. ![]() ![]() everyone

![]() DD23 is in Denver. Her flights are going well so far! After I took DD to the airport and spent way too long talking to her there ![]() I took my mom to the doc and then to the lab for blood tests. Finally home. I bought the store out at Talbot's yesterday!! After trying on 13 pairs of pants yesterday for my meeting and only getting one pair to work because I put on 2 shirts and tucked them in . . . . I knew I needed new clothes! I'm officially a size 4! At least on the bottom. The "ladies" mean I'm a 6 on top! So - I have new dress clothes! Now I need new jeans - but that will be a trip back to the mall. you all.I need to walk the dog and then to another soccer game! BBL!

Buffy, Im so glad you got to see your brother! Family drama is the hardest stuff to deal with!! Did you eat at Village Point? LOVE that outdoor mall!!
MAry Kay, I dont think I have ever been under a size 8 in my life! I think I was born a size 8! I would give my right leg to be a 4!! Carolyn, the torte was good. I had one piece and then made the family eat the rest. Too addictive! Last edited by susique333; 10-05-2010 at 03:16 PM.. |

Don't worry, it's confusing as my 28 year old horse has been sick and now 17 year old cat. Rosemary (DC17) is at the vets this morning having her tumor removed. He is optimistic as it is small but can recur and can be quite aggressive. Poor baby, she has been to the vet a lot here recently for UTI's. She is old, God bless her, and was not happy about being at the vet again this morning. I cried. I'm a big baby when it comes to the pets. Should be able to bring her home this afternoon.

Morning eveyrone.
Welcome Angie, jump in and join us gabbing away. Went to block party last night, it was a lot of fun and a good chance to visit with our neighbors whom we see way too little of. About half the people on the block turned out. Finishing income tax today, wanted to have it done before I went to NE but didn't make it. Beautiful fall weather here today. |

Hi ladies..
Oh, Cindy..You will just have to give her extra kitty treats.. food for her UTIs? Block parties are fun. We had a going away party for the neighbors who are moving to Florida. It was fun to see the neighbors. I don't have a problem overeating cakes, etc. If I have a piece for breakie, I feel "spoiled".. |

![]() This is my first chance to get on the computer. Our power was out last night. ![]() We did win the soccer game though! ![]() Carolyn - We have an airport in town, but DD23 flew out of the one in the town where my mom is. So it's about 45 minutes away. Better than going all the way to St Louis! *insert more indies here since the dog needs to be walked again!* |

Yeah..for the soccer team..Going to St. Louis is a little bit of a hassle..We prefer to fly out of Tulsa (90 minutes) as opposed to KCity..(3.5 hours)..

No, Rose is way too picky. She gets the cat version of the "pizza and beer" diet. Basically, anything she'll eat. She is out of surgery . They had to remove 2/3 of her ilium which is the huge bone that makes up our hips width. He had to do that to get all of the tumor that was attached to it. He said she'll walk fine and hopefully this will get it. Poor baby. This was a big surgery. I bring her home in a couple of hours.

Wow Mary Kay that's beautiful!! And happy anniversary to you both.
Cindy, I'm glad they got it all and that she gets to come home today. I hate it when they have to stay overnight all scared and alone. I stopped and picked up one of the granddogs for a play date today. I let them out in the yard to play awhile and when I went to check on them, they were gone!! We had a tree svc. here yesterday to give us a bid and they left the side gate open! I went out front and there was my Bailey just standing there on the driveway but no sign of the grandpup. She's always been a runner from the day they adoped her 11 years ago and I was about to die thinking that she might've tried to run home and would really be lost or ran over. So I called and called.....nothing. I jumped in my car and drove around the block and all of a sudden there she was right by my car! I think she saw my car and started chasing it b/c I never did see her. Thank God I found her!!! And that Bailey didn't follow her. Because the granddog was a runner the very first thing I taught Bailey was "come" and I guess having her in the front yard with us a lot as we do things out there got through her head that she wasn't to leave it w/o one of us. That was all the excitement I needed for the day!

Hi..
Oh my goodness...kitteh and goggie stories all over the place. Prayers for little Rose..I'm sure she will be fine, but sore. Now, you might have to get her kitty stairs to get up on your bed..LOL.. Alex sleeps at our feet, after his early morning feed/meds. I appreciate it that he doesn't hog the bed. Sandy...what a big scare..Bailey "knows" where her bread and butter are.. |

Oh my, what pet stories today. Cindy, hope your dear kitty is home soon and Sandy, thank heavens you found your grandpup!
MK, that is lovely! A gift from Tiffany's is so special. My SIL purchased DD#3's engagement ring at Tiffany's in NY. He had a framed print that was the original of an old ad that Tiffany's once ran, it was a lady in an evening gown, gazing into the window of Tiffany's at night. So, for a surprise wedding gift for SIL, DD went to New York with her photographer and arranged with them to recreate that picture but of her in her wedding gown, gazing into the same window at Tiffany's one night. Had it framed to match the print and gave it to DSIL at their reception dinner, it really is beautiful and so special to him. Their wedding colors were ivory and Tiffany blue. Tiffany's is special to them. |

Wow Buffy!! How cool is that? What a thoughtful person your DD is. And your DSIL too for that matter. That's like out of a movie!
I'm glad you're back safe and sound from your trip. Did you run into any construction traffic? |

Oh holy cannoli, hubby and I were having coffee and reading at Barnes and Nobles when who should walk in, in pressed jeans no less? Warren Buffet! He was meeting some colleagues there, one table away from us. I tried to be discrete without too much rubber necking! Didnt understand a single thing they were saying either, sounded pretty technical.
