Is it DivaHerself? They are great!! I follow their escapades quite a bit. I'll be at the Royal again this year so I'll look for them for sure.

No I see, they're going to the other big one, Jack Daniels Invitational. I'm rooting for them. I wish they'd do the royal so I could meet her.

I don't know how the Jack does it. At the royal you usually have to "know" someone which we never have a problem with. They used to hand out samples but the health dept. stepped in and stopped that. Bummer!

Yes I think so too but it only takes "one" to ruin it for all, you know? And nobody needs a law suit over food poisoning, etc. People are just crazy anymore.

Morning peeps.
Overcast day here, looks like rain but I haven't seen the forecast.
No plans except a little office work, fix a roast for dinner and DGS 10 is coming over to spend the night with us after his baseball games. The grandkitty is also coming with him to spend the night and play with Mema's kitties.
Pretty sure I will get a movie in tomorrow, there are several out now that I want to see.
Lots of new tv shows this fall, I am watching and taping so that hopefully, I will find a few new favorites to watch this season.
Got a call yesterday from SIL, not DSIL by any means, that she had taken my brother to the hospital on Tuesday and was just now letting us know. I talked to my niece last night and she is going to find out when I can get in to see him so I may be driving or flying to Omaha next week.
Sandy, sorry to hear about your friend's sad news.

Cindy, will send positive thoughts your direction. I always dread fall because I know winter is coming. That is when it seems sickness and aches start with a vengence. 2 of my kids DS25 and DD31 have both had disk surgeries for bad backs so they really feel the cold.

Sandy that is so, so sad. When I lost my brother he was given 3 months to live and passed away 4 days later. No one was even remotely prepared. Sending them prayers, too.

Well, I think I must have eaten 8 eggs yesterday and it was my 'go to' protein beside my morning whey shake and I lost another #. Keepin on keeping on.

Hi ladies..

Many prayers for your friend's family, Sandy..What a shocker for everyone..

Any good new tv shows? I watched The Whole Truth..Not sure if its a keeper for me.
The two main characters are too self-indulgent for me..LOL.

Have fun with all your family, Buffy..How is your ankle?

Went exercising..walked a mile and did some eliptical.

I started knitting hats for the men in the military..Its' called Ship's Project. They are easy to do and much appreciated..

Eggs are great..You know, I should do an all egg day once a week..and see what happens..

Brett's car will be "ready" on Tuesday..They put in a fuel pump, and it made a funny noise, so they ordered another one..Welcome to small town mechanics..

KSU is playing at 11:30..Brett went up to the game.

So sorry Sandy!!

Carolyn - I'm trying out a few of the new shows.
Not sure which ones i like - just the ones I don't like!
Raising Hope, for instance, is off my list!

Great loss Susie!

Buffy - so sorry about your brother!! I hope everything is OK!!

The wedding was fun, but we had to leave by 11:00 because I had to make a casserole for the brunch that I didn't get go to because we had a soccer game that I had to watch them lose instead of watching the bride open her gifts!

Follow?

Oh, Sandy, I am so sorry. What a long road for her. Was it unexpected?

Buffy, I would be furious with any family member who did that. I don't understand what makes people do stuff like that. I hope you get news soon.

Yes, Cindy, it was unexpected. He's had some health issues lately but had been doing better. They went out with friends for dinner last night with friends and all seemed well. This all happened in the middle of the night. It's very sad. Another friend and I took over some food and visited with her and she's just lost, of course. I can't even imagine. She's the first of my friends to go through this. That's the hard part of getting older, losing the people around you. I'd like to just that part but I know it's all part of the circle of life.

Hey Carolyn, did Brett get soaked today? I'm glad they pulled out the win.

Hey, Brett was on tv for about 2 seconds at the beginning of the game..They never show peeps high up, but there he was. Yes, he got soaked..They didn't leave the stadium and he said the lightening was far away. They pulled it off..finally.

What a shock..I'm sure your dear friend will be in shock for a while. So sad..Yes, it is hard when your friends start dying..

Morning!
Still don't know much about DB, DSIL is such a liar that I can't depend on anything she says, and I can't get through to him, long story I can't go into on here but it is a mess. I won't know until I can talk to him if I am coming up soon to Omaha. He is bi-polar and had a bad episode if that tells you anything. So, right now they are telling me I can't see him.
Sandy, one of my friends lost her husband a year and a half ago, it is very hard and she tells us all the time she could not have gotten through this without all her friends and family, and, hers wasn't sudden, he had been sick for quite a long time.
Will kind of get things around here today in case I need to go to Omaha soon.

Hi ladies..

This is our last week of September....warning...warning..

Buffy: How difficult this is for you..You are at the mercy for your not so darling sister in law..

KSU played Central Florida (who beat GA Tech), so they are a pretty good team..In 2 weeks, they play Nebraska..(scarey game).

I chopped off my plants in the flower bed..They look better..LOL.

Shoot, why does the end of the month always come after a bad weekend. Oh I know, because too many of my weekends have been bad lately. Although we do have until the first, right? And of course tomorrow is Monday and a whole new week. Again.......

I have my friend's DHs service tomorrow. It's quite a long way from me and I'm going alone. I'm a bit nervous but I'm sure I'll be fine.

We went to see Wall Street today. We really liked it.

AFter many phone calls after finally finding out DB was in the hospital, my Not Dear SIL told me that oh, she did happen to have the "code" I needed to get to talk to my brother on the phone and come to find out, he could have been visited all along. Oh, I was so mad. I called him right away and he said that he had kind of wondered why none of us (his 3 sisters) had tried to call or anything. What a piece of work she is. I told him I would call again tomorrow and we will decide when it will be best for me to drive up to NE. I do have one sister who is fairly close, I hope she will go see him soon.
