Susie, sounds yummy!
Wow, Heidi finally going to a jury trial, I would be scared if I were her. What a mess that turned into.
DD just picked up DGS 2, we had a great time but this Mema is really tired out, much different from having the 10 year old around, but also very fun and he loved it.

Let's hope Heidi gets everything she deserves.....doubled!! I'll be interested to see how that turns out.

My cake turned out good but hardly anybody even tried it. Maybe I should've put a sign on it telling what it was? There was tons of desserts plus everybody was pretty full from the BBQ meal. I left it there for whoever to have or to trash. I sure didn't need the extra temptation around here.

Morning.
Laughing because at our Elk's lodge gatherings, there was always this one gal who helped with everything and she did do a lot of work but she took ALL the leftovers home, I don't know if the family ate all of them or not, but we used to kind of make fun of her because she would be the first one up to clean up and she was packing things up like crazy to take home. And, even if you had planned to take the remainder of what you brought home, she would get a container and help herself to a large serving or 2 or it to take home. Just funny, no harm.
I have a sore ankle, I don't know what is wrong with it. It is my left ankle and it happened when I restarted wallking a few weeks back, it got so sore I had to let up on the walking. Well, it healed up and I hadn't gotten back to my walking as yet, and the darn thing started getting sore again on Thurs. By yesterday it was bad but this morning it is so painful I can barely walk, had DH get a cane out that he had purchased once when he had a sore foot. Hopefully, if I keep the weight off it, it will heal up again and I won't have to go to the Dr. until after my new insurance kicks in, which will pay so much better.
Will go searching the net to try to determine what it is. Probably another old lady thingy.

Hi!

I need to walk this morning, get back to the art fair and get the ring fixed that I bought last year, and do laundry and clean the remaining bathrooms!

Oh - and a parents meeting for the swim team at 4:00.

Joy.

We went to church last night so this a.m. we're just being lazy and not doing much. We might see a movie later this afternoon. I don't have much ambition so far.

Buffy, I get a horrible "catch" in my ankle about where my Achille's tendon is when I walk anymore. It helps if I do major foot stretches first but of course I always try to skimp on the stretching. I need to get back on my walking schedule too. And my gym schedule. And my WOE. I'm just "off" of everything lately.

Hope you feel better soon! I got a stress fracture years ago that sounds like your ankle. My ankle only hurt when walking and went away if I elevated it. Foot Dr did an xray and found out the problem. Wore a "boot" for 6 weeks.

Made a pot of chili today. It's only 52 degrees (and drizzle) in Omaha today! Football weather for sure!

Susan that sounds good! I'm filing that away for cold weather. Speaking of pumpkin there was a bunch here at Price Chopper.

Buffy you may have to do antiinflammatories every time you walk for a long time and see if that helps.

Sandy I always label my cakes 'cause sometimes they taste better than they look!!

Hi ladies...

Oh..Buffy..Have you tried putting some ice on it off and on? If it hurts, stay off of it and always put the cane on the side of the injury..(Minlaw trick). I hope you are better..
Does it feel better wrapped???

LOL..on the person taking home food..There is one in every crowd, right?

We rented Evictus last night..It was very good..We are backed up in the movie department..

We went to see The Town today. I think Ben Affleck has finally validated his career again. He sure went through a down slump for a long time. But his last few endeavors have worked out well and this movie was very good and his next looks even better.

Yes, I think I'll label my food from now on if it's not readily identifiable. Lol.

I can't believe the Chiefs are actually doing well this season. I sure hope they can keep it up.

Then circuit class, PEO meeting, grocery store, make dinner and the swim team meeting.

Susie, how sweet!

Still hobbling around with my cane, it is a little less sore since I started using the cane, so I will continue to baby it.

Hi ladies..

Love that kitteh.. I would have tons of kittehs if I could..

Buffy: Are you going to the doctor??? You might need x-rays..When I messed up my ankle, my podiatrist did all that, then he taped it really well, which helped alot..Prayers for healing for you.

Well, Brett's car is still not fixed.. We had it at the local Ford place for a month..So, now Brett is driving with our regular mechanic to see if he can find out what's wrong with it. It jerks at 65 miles an hour and up..Not good when you are driving in KCity..

I was 147 this morning..and I even had a tiny slice of real cheesecake last night at a birthday thing..

Cindy: They love to squeeze their little fannies in anywhere..no matter what the circumstances..

Well, Brett's car is being towed to the fix it shop as we speak. I mentioned that he should take it for a spin on the local highway before he heads to Manhattan tomorrow..(200 miles away). Mother knows best and it broke down..in the John Deere parking lot..He managed to get it off the 2 lane highway..So..I told him to stay there and called for a tow..Of course the tow guy went to the John Deere store..instead of the factory. I think it's the fuel pump..So, it's heading to our friendly mechanics place.
He will take my car to Manhattan/KCity..

Buffy, I just caught that you have a cane now! I hate "old thinys".

Susan, your pic was cute! I can imagine that kitty thinking, "My new friend is soft but he doesn't talk much."

And your kitty is cute too and has good shopping taste!! My 20# kitty (photos in my album) will lie sideways and try to squeeze into a flat type box (like a cereal box). Looks just ridiculous seeing her try this way, then that way. I do not think she is too smart.

Ah, all kitty pictures are cute.

Wow, Brett will have a new car when he gets done...

Foot is much better after keeping weight off it for 2 days, much less sore and swelling almost gone. Unless it gets worse again, will not go to the Dr. now. Waiting for new insurance to kick in Oct. 1st to get anythng done.

insurance..

Yesterday was horribly busy! I barely took a breath before 7:00pm!
I was going to go see my mom today, but really need a day at home!

Mom is just going to have to wait!

Buffy - I'm glad you're better! Take it easy!

Carolyn - I'm glad Brett pulled over safely! AND will have a safe car to drive today!!
But does this mean you have to stay home all day?

Morning.
I am really a beauty today. Had my filler injected yesterday and today I have 2 black eyes and a swollen lip, but I just know I will be beautiful when it gets all back to where it is supposed to be, LOL. Thank heavens they warned me about the swelling or I would have thought they put wayyyy too much in my lip area.
Laundry, office and then take DGS to the allergist for his shot after school. Foot continues to get better, thank heavens.
MK, your days really make me tired!!!

Hi ladies..

Gary left me the old farm pickup to drive..Just around town. He dropped the keys on the way out to it and so he took his car. I'll get his car tomorrow..for sure. At least I know the pickup has a new fuel filter..

Oh..I hope the swelling will go down on your lips..or maybe not..Maybe your dh will
be enticed

Off to BStudy in a few minutes..Our group has been together for many years, which is very nice..This year we have some new gals..so that is fun, too..All different ages from
38-70ish.

Hope everyone is doing fine today.

They make me tired too!

I did get some things accomplished around here today.

4 loads of laundry, my bed changed, the suitcases up to the attic, 2 sets of presents wrapped and ready to mail, my bathroom is finally cleaned, tried some new sesame noodles for lunch, and now have the roast in the oven for dinner!

Carolyn - that's great! I didn't want you to be stranded?

Filler always looks too much at first but then the swelling goes down. Where did they inject around your eyes? I get the "parenthesis" that go from the edge of the nose to the mouth filled. Mother, it smarts!!
