Susie, your house will begin to look like those on that tv show, but yours will be all cans of pumpkin, and then they will fall on you and we will see you trying to crawl out from under the pumpkin, LOL!!!

I haven't looked at my stores, guess I had better go pumpkin hunting. I love to bake with pumpkin in the fall too. That crustless LC pumpkin pie is great. In fact, might make some of that today, DH likes it too.

MK and Carolyn, where do you get the once a week Vit. D? That would be handy, I am trying to cut back on the number of pills I take, with all the supplements, it is a handfull. Also, do any of you have that feeling that they stick in your throat? I have been getting that lately and it burns kind of and is very uncomfortable.

I will have to go on a pumpkin search, too..Our closest Aldi's is 45 minutes away, but I'll look locally first.

Oh...Buffy..I hope you took pictures of yourself..We like peeps who experiment with this stuff and share the results.

Went to exercise..did my kettlebell routine..I am such a weakling with my arm strength.

My doctor gave me the once a weeker..I'll have to look at how much of it I take..

Anyone watch America's Got Talent? I like Michael alot..but I think that little opera gal, Jackie might beat him..

Carolyn, they took pictures at the office, I didn't look at them but my friend said they looked like mug shots, so anything should be an improvement.

Haven't watched America's Got Talent.

Boys are on the way home from their "job crusade"..They even stopped in at KU for
their Engineering Job Fair.. I am making meatloaf tonight...I thought I was eating alone, but I guess I'll have company.

Yeah, the mug shots..But when you get some major results, you can share..

Aldi opened at 9:00 and by 9:15 it was gone!

They might have more today, but it's too far away for me to keep going out there.

I'll look in Springfield and St Louis on Friday.

Buffy - let me know what you think of your new miracle process!

Hi..

After my teeth cleaning, I'm heading to the grocery store..Luckily, it wasn't on the news there was a pumpkin shortage here..Hmmm..maybe there is a Pumpkin Conspiracy?

Cindy, good luck at the chiro..It might take several trips to undo what happened.

I was 147.0 this morning.. I think those kettle bell throws really help get my heart going..

No pumpkin..Word on the Main Lobby is that Libby's is holding off distributing the pumpkin until the last part of October so there will be enough for Tday and Christmas..

I did cook a pumpkin last year when I was desperate..It was easy and pretty good.

How's your back doing Cindy. Much better I hope. Take care of yourself.

The Aldi right off I-435 has plenty of pumpkin. Or they did yesterday anyway.

Sigh.
So I was screwed by the newscaster!

I love Trader Joes!
You all are so lucky!
The closest here is St Louis, Indy or Chicago.
So 2-3 hours!!

Even when we get to KC, my in-laws live on the NW side, so still a bit of a drive., but not too far!

There was a problem with pumpkin 2 years ago and they only can once a year. So last year was the official shortage, but this year there's nothing left over.
I'm sure there must be some out there somewhere!

Today is circuit class, then a visit to Mom, then off to St Louis with DD26.
Maybe they have pumpkin down there!

Morning gals, cool in Omaha so guess who will be baking?

I saw on the nightly news about another pumpkin shortage due to damp conditions making them rot in the fields? Glad I snagged my 10 cans!

Trader Joes is opening up in Omaha this month too! Love them!

Hi gals..

I'm going to a dinky little grocery store today to see if there is pumpkin..It won't be cheap, if they have it.

My dd posted the TJoe thing on her facebook..She loves TJ..and so do I..Another reason to come to KC..

Was still at 147 this morning..Today is set up of our Neewollah store..One month of
selling tickets, etc..But I only work all day on Thursdays starting in October.

Brett is going to the KSU game at Arrowhead..

Morning.
I love TJ's too and none in our area. I go sometimes when I am either in Las Vegas or the Phoenix area.
Another busy grandkids day. DD#2 is bringing the little ones out this afternoon and then DGS 2 is going to spend the night. So, I will be very busy tonight and tomorrow until she picks him up again. You can't leave that age alone for a moment.
Pretty sunny day here, will be warm but not horrible so pretty good day.

Don't have much planned for the weekend which is good, I feel like I have run all week.

I went for a massage this a.m. and then browsed through the used book store. No finds today though. Now I'm making a cake that my m. therapist told me about. I have to take a dessert to a picnic tomorrow so hopefully this will be good.

All it is is a dry spice cake mix and a can of pumpkin!!! She said it's delicious and requested by her family all the time. I'm going to ice it with CC frosting. I'll let you know how it comes out. I might have to stop at the bakery tomorrow on the way, lol.

Oh..I think I have had that cake..It is very good. No fat in it, either..It sounds like a WW recipe.

Oh..Brett called a few companies and he has a Thursday afternoon appointment with a KC engineering firm called Genesys or something like that. Dh has met with them several times for other business and he thinks it would be a great company to work for..

I'm exhausted after lifting boxes and helping set up on our little store for Neewollah stuff..I don't think I could ever work a full-time job anymore..

Carolyn, I know exactly what you mean. I always tell my DH and friends I can't work at a job anymore b/c I just don't have the time. I guess that's good and bad??? Good luck to Brett. I'll ask DH if he knows of that company.

Cindy, I love the color of the sheer miracle stuff, but it did crease worse than my cle de peau does, so I will try mixing the 2 together and see what happens. I do use eye cream first under any concealer. Cle de peau does make one of the best but pricey but a tube of that stuff will last forever.
Hopefully, when I get done with my filler treatment, it will help my dark circles some.
Not sure if the Obagi is supposed to help with dark undereye circles or not, but I will keep on trying, LOL.
DD #'s 2 & 3 were here tonight, they went out for sushi while I put DGS 2 down to bed, then when they returned I gave them both facials, they loved them and we had a fun time.

I have use it for 6 years, the bleaching hydroquinone, and it has done nothing for my circles. My circles are red which is a vascular issue. If they made a formula with a carrier that would actually get it below the surface of the the skin. See , thats the issue. Many contain Vit K but you have to have a formula that actually gets to where you want it and thats expensive. Now, I think the hydroquinone will help dark circles if they are dark, surface discolorations. Blender #5 by Obagi is what is the bleaching formula.

I took pumpkin inventory and I am good. I don't like pumpkin pie so I make pumpkin bars and really good protein shakes with frozen pumpkin. Ya know, Netrition is selling cans of organic pumpkin......

While we're on the Pumpkin thing, this is what I just made for hubby and me.

A Pumpkin Spice Latte for two:
Ingredients
-1/2 cup heavy whipping cream mixed into 1/2 c. water
-1+ cup of STRONG HOT coffee
-5 T pumpkin puree (about 1/3 cup)
-1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
-1 teaspoon cinnamon
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-1-2 teaspoon Splenda or whatever.
Pour this all in a blender and blend til frothy. Incorporates the spices better that stirring in a pan.
EDIT* I forgot to say i use a blendtec which actually will heat the mixture if it is blended long enough. You might want to do this in a sauce pan.

Hmm..me too..I didn't see a huge difference, but maybe I didn't put enough on..

Duh..went to Wallie without a list and forgot to look for pumpkin..The latte sounds very good to me..

Go Wildcats... They won 27-20 at Arrowhead. Brett was there, but didn't see him in the purple crowd.

Poor KU didn't do so well...;(
