Morning!

Got my walk in - 54 out there - really nippy this morning! Brrrrrrr.

Lunch out today. I got another Brazilian blowout yesterday, so maybe my hair will survive the rest of the humidity.
I have some cleaning to do and another soccer game tonight.
At least this one is at home!

Hi ladies..

We must be on the same hair schedule..I'm cutting a regular cut today..

Did my kettlebell workout and some treadmilling. Weight was 148, so it was down after that real blueberry muffin I had Sunday morning in Manhattan at the great coffee shop.
They didn't have eggs..

but it was very good.

Hope everyone is doing okay today.

Yippee for your pound! I feel more diet empowered this month, maybe it is because the kids are back in school and I have a solid schedule? I foresee nice losses this month.

Went to my hormone doc today. Lowered my estrogen (Yeah!) and drew a D3 level. I've never had my D3 drawn so I'm excited to see what it is. I take 4000 mg a day but use a ton of sunscreen. He ordered a mammogram (said I need 1 every year but no personal /family history

) however, when you are on hormone replacement, you can't be too careful. And he ordered a bone density scan. This is my first so I'm excited. I'm tiny boned, fair skinned so I have to watch bone density. Boob smashing

and bone zapping will commence next Tuesday.......along with a hair appointment! We all have to be on the same hair schedule!!

Yep I just colored my hair last week and got a trim too. I've gotten yearly mammograms ever since I was 40 and already have it scheduled for this Dec. And my last bone scan was great. They said my bones were the bones of a woman in her early 20s. I'll take that!

My hostessing at the church dinner went well and everybody loved my chicken and dressing casserole I brought. I'm pooped tonight though. I had tons of help but still felt I was responsible for all the details and that made me nervous since I'd never done it before. I guess I passed, lol.

Buffy, hoping you're ok after the storms down there. Check in soon!

I take Maximum D3 once a week to make sure I'm getting enough - mine was pretty low.

Sandy - Do you have rain? We're supposed to get some tomorrow . . . sometime.

Morning gals! Sounds like everyone is keeping busy. I just heard on the news about people being swept away in cars, in Texas. Also lots without power. I lived in San Antonio and those flash floods are no fun. Sending positive thoughts Buffys way!

Morning peeps, thanks for the well wishes.
Yes, it was pretty stormy around here yesterday and way too much rain way too fast. We got water in one bedroom, the gutters could just not handle it. Tornado touched down near DD#3's house but no damage in her neighborhood. Closed a road about a mile from my house due to water damage. But, bright and sunny here today and I heard it is supposed to be hot and humid the next few days.
Cindy, my D3 was low and after I worked up to 4000 units a day, it finally checks normal. Good to have it checked though, helps with many things. Good luck on your boob and bone checks, LOL. We must endure all these things to stay healthy.

I got a little too tired over the weekend so was kind of out of commission the last couple of days, but back to normal today.

I have nail appt. at 2:00, then need to run by CVS and grocery store, bring that stuff home, then meet my friend at 5:30 at Neiman Marcus, their Sept. beauty event starts tomorrow and my sales gal presold a couple of things to me so that she could put back the free gifts for me and I am to go in tonight and pick them up. Then we will probably go to a favorite Italian place there to eat dinner.

Sandy, I would love to have your chicken and dressing casserole recipe, that is so nice to have to take to people and a favorite dish of mine, but I don't have a good recipe. Pretty please, when you have time.

Cindy, have you received your undereye stuff they talked about on the other board? Where did you find it with free shipping? I ordered it but had to pay shipping, it has shipped but I hven't received it yet. Can't wait to try it. Carolyn, did you order it?

I love that new board, of course, I am a makeup/skincare junkie, so it fits me perfectly.

Must get busy, later gals.

Yes, the 2B checkups are so much fun. The bone one is so easy and my last one last month was normal..

Oh..Buffy, glad you are okay..When water comes down so fast, it is hard for those gutters to do their jobs.

I ordered a sample of the eye coverup stuff..Still waiting, of course.

MK: I take a huge Vitamin D pill once a week, but I am so forgetful..that I am irregular on it..Gotta take it tonight..

Sandy: Chicken and dressing sounds wonderful..

We've had rains today..Went to CWClub and didn't overeat..

This is a good thing.

Let's hope the football games have dry days on Saturday..

I am loving my kettlebell..Honestly, 15 kettlebell swings and I am breathing hard..LOL.

I haven't weighed today yet, but it's been up and down all week.

I tried to make a pumpkin recipe yesterday, but the store was out! AND didn't know when they would get any!!

I'll try some other stores today.

I didn't sleep well last night, was up for 3 hours but I did work in the office, then back to bed at 6 am and slept until 9. So, now, trying to wake up again with my coffee.

MK, you just make me tired, LOL. Cleaning out the garage, wow!

Had a fun time last night with my salesgal at Neiman Marcus, she gave me some nice goodies in my event bag, so will have fun playing with those. Going back tomorrow for a "makeup" fashion show, which she says is a lot of fun. Of course, being a makeup geek, I will love it.

Had ham the last couple of days, I baked one Wed. and my weight is up 2-3 lbs, I know it is that darn ham, but it still is irritating.

Muggy and wam here today.

Ham is so darned salty, Buffy..Sorry you didn't sleep well. My hormone replacement really helps me sleep..It's a miracle.

dh and ds are going to the KSU game tomorrow..They got free tix to drive a couple of peeps..They are playing Missouri State. KU is playing Ga Tech..that should not be a pretty site as GT is ranked 16.

Out for dinner tonight..just a burger place.

Did 3 WW calls this morning..I am pooped.

Good Lord, I had 6 loads of laundry today, how did I get that far behind? Still have bedding to do tomorrow. That and lots of stuff done in the office.
Busy weekend but DS is coming home and will be here over Sat. night so I will get to see him for awhile on Sun., he is coming home for a friend's wedding reception. DGS 10 also spending the night Sat. night, will be fun.

Off to bed and hope I sleep great tonight, I have to get up early tomorrow.

Morning!

I need to get walking, then a trip to the library and a couple more things at the grocery store for the grandparent's day luncheon at my mom's place tomorrow.

Yesterday I ended up looking at a new house with a friend and then going out to lunch.
After finally getting home it was too rainy to pull things out of the garage.
Fingers crossed that today dries up quickly and I can get out there!

I'm not ready for Fall yet!

Ahhh, I am so relaxed!! I went to Neiman's this morning for a makeup fashion show, which was at 10:00 AM. Then downstairs to visit the different makeup booths and pick up some free samples, etc. While talking to one new brand, they said they were giving free facials today but were booked, but their 1:00 didn't show up. So, they took me and OMG, it was so awesome. Drank a little champagne and had the best facial, an hour long facial for free. I came home so relaxed. Or course I bought their eye cream, I am such a sucker for eye creams, LOL.

Another busy day here. We cleaned all the junk off the deck so our DGS can stain it for us Monday. He got laid off work and we're trying to find things for him to do around here rather than pay a stranger. He's probably hoping to get called back to work rather than be our Honey Do guy, lolol.

Yay!!!! KU did play a great game today. We only got to see parts of the game as we went in and out of the house and we did go get some lunch and watched it while we ate. They looked way better than last week for sure.
I hope K-State does well too.

So is the trip to Chicago for fun or work? I love that town and haven't been in a very long time. I'd love to go in the fall but I doubt we get to this year.

Buffy, the makeup event sounds like fun. I should check out my local dept. stores and see what they have coming up. I think I'd like that.

It was very warm here today but we were working hard too so.....Rain is coming Tuesday night and Wed I think. I hope he gets the deck done by then.

KU did play well..I watched most of it..and KSU won, too. Now, dh has to drive 200 miles home..

The trip to Chicago is for a Manufacturer's Trade Show..Gary thought B should go and meet some companies who might need an engineer. Gary does tradeshows all the time in his business, so he is going to help Brett out a bit. I'm staying home as they are flying and 2 tix were enough to buy..

Good for your dgs..I'm sure you will have tasty snacks for him all day long..

Still have bedding to do tomorrow. That and lots of stuff done in the office. Busy weekend but DS is coming home and will be here over Sat. night so I will get to see him for awhile on Sun., he is coming home for a friend's wedding reception. DGS 10 also spending the night Sat. night, will be fun. Off to bed and hope I sleep great tonight, I have to get up early tomorrow.

Start Date: July 2003	Morning! I need to get walking, then a trip to the library and a couple more things at the grocery store for the grandparent's day luncheon at my mom's place tomorrow. Yesterday I ended up looking at a new house with a friend and then going out to lunch. After finally getting home it was too rainy to pull things out of the garage. Fingers crossed that today dries up quickly and I can get out there! I'm not ready for Fall yet!

I went to Neiman's this morning for a makeup fashion show, which was at 10:00 AM. Then downstairs to visit the different makeup booths and pick up some free samples, etc. While talking to one new brand, they said they were giving free facials today but were booked, but their 1:00 didn't show up. So, they took me and OMG, it was so awesome. Drank a little champagne and had the best facial, an hour long facial for free. I came home so relaxed. Or course I bought their eye cream, I am such a sucker for eye creams, LOL.

We cleaned all the junk off the deck so our DGS can stain it for us Monday. He got laid off work and we're trying to find things for him to do around here rather than pay a stranger. He's probably hoping to get called back to work rather than be our Honey Do guy, lolol. Yay!!!! KU did play a great game today. We only got to see parts of the game as we went in and out of the house and we did go get some lunch and watched it while we ate. They looked way better than last week for sure. I hope K-State does well too. So is the trip to Chicago for fun or work? I love that town and haven't been in a very long time. I'd love to go in the fall but I doubt we get to this year. Buffy, the makeup event sounds like fun. I should check out my local dept. stores and see what they have coming up. I think I'd like that. It was very warm here today but we were working hard too so.....Rain is coming Tuesday night and Wed I think. I hope he gets the deck done by then.

Now, dh has to drive 200 miles home.. The trip to Chicago is for a Manufacturer's Trade Show..Gary thought B should go and meet some companies who might need an engineer. Gary does tradeshows all the time in his business, so he is going to help Brett out a bit. I'm staying home as they are flying and 2 tix were enough to buy.. Good for your dgs..I'm sure you will have tasty snacks for him all day long..
