LOL Mary Kay, love that little vacuuming smiley!
Im looking forward for this 3 day weekend. This is my weekend to sit for my 8 yr old grandaughter, shes my pal. We're having the whole family over for a BBQ Monday, I am soooo excited. I love big parties. DD23 and I went to Walmart last night to start getting items, got home and realized I forgot so much. This is what happens when you try to shop at 8pm and youve mentally run out of gas! Will go back again today, thankfully Walmart is near my house. Happy weekend girly girls!

We're going to the lake tomorrow with my DD and her clan, lol. Then Sun. we're supposed to meet up with some friends at the Irish Fest. That will depend on DH's back. He's still having issues off and on and standing for long periods is hard on him.
I was down to 148.2 this a.m.!!! Just in time for the big weekend. |

I need to play on the stairs with my vaccuum, too, MK..I really hate the stairs. We are going to the KSU game tomorrow..Brett will catch up with his old buddies, so it should be fun for everyone. . |

You all were busy little beavers posting away yesterday.
I see someone answered the yocheese question, I love to make and eat yocheese. Will check out the makeup/skin care section, I am a makeup geek too. I need to help one of my bff's find an inexpensive foundation, they are having tough times right now and she can't afford the $60 Dior one she loves. Any suggestions on inexpensive ones that you like? I am going to go through my stash today to see if I have any samples or anything to give her but she has such a different skin tone than I do that I doubt I have anything. I do love my grandbabies and love being a Mema, it has added so much to my life. I have my 2 oldest ones in NE that I have a great relationship with but I didn't get to spend time with them as they were growing up like I do the ones here near home. I am already stressing about my son's new baby which is due in Dec. and they live about 4 hours away, I want to make sure I form that close bond with him like I have the ones here, particularly because my son and I are very close. I am just going to have to make road trips often enough to stay with the baby as often as I can. Sandy, I know what you mean about having a baby around at our age, it is harder, they wear me out much quicker but it is when you really make those bonds. DGS 10 is the perfect age now, super easy to have around, no work but we have that bond. DD#2's little ones, 2 yo and 7 month old are harder, an hour or two and I am pooped but I try to do it as often as I can and they already love their Mema. MK, you have found the cutest smileys, I love them. Oh, I used to hate to vacuum the stairs, thank heavens I don't have any stairs now. Back then I had 2 vacuums, but that still didn't solve the stairs part. Susie, sounds like a fun weekend at your house. Carolyn, frogs hopping, bet that was quite a sight. I have never seen that before, well, except for around a pond. DH went 4 wheeling with some friends, so I can just goof off for the weekend. Going to DD's tomorrow to see my 2 little ones. Probably will catch a movie. Not sure what else.

I go back and forth between Bare Escentuals and Revlon Age Defying. In the summer, sometimes just moisturizer and blush plus eye makeup and a little lipstick.
Have fun at the game tomorrow Carolyn. It should be a perfect day. It might be a bit cool for the lake but perfect for football. |

Morning!
Cleaning lady is coming at 8 this morning so I have to get ready and out of here pretty soon, going to see the 2 little ones. Baby is starting to crawl, what fun. Carolyn, I have used Merle Norman for years and years, they really have great products. Just this past year I have ventured out to try some other brands, just for the fun of it and although I am using some other brands I really like I can't say as they are any better than MN. Since I love makeup, I am loving the new board. So, I think my friend and I are going drugstore shopping today to see if we can find her a foundation. |

Try L'Oreal's line Buffy. I think they're owned by an expensive line. Lancombe maybe?? Anyway, L'Oreal is supposed to be the drugstore brand of the expensive dept. store line. You might look it up to see which one it is. Good luck. It sounds like a fun day. I wonder how many goodies you'll come home with, lol. I know I would!!

Hi gals..
Have fun MK..We are off to Manhattan for the game and an overnight.. For me, finding the right color is really hard in makeup..So, I like being able to try it on..LOL..I liked Color Match, too. The local team won last night..Brett played on IHS's team for 4 years in highschool and 2 in jr. high, so we had many years of football..The highschool team NEVER won a game..and the scores were horrible, so this was a good night for Brett to watch the team win. |

It is 53 degrees here this morning!! Yeah!! I am on back-up call all weekend so we are working around here. What a great weekend!! I am taking my BFF's daughter and her friend to a trail riding place in Missouri where you can rent little cabins next weekend. We are taking the horses so hopefully this weather will persist!

Hi, all! Have a pot of spaghetti sauce with home made meatballs on the stove simmering. BF will get atop noodles while mine will be over roasted eggplant. I LOVE roasted eggplant but he doesn't. Yard work today as I am on back up call ALL weekend.
DHOR 28 got sick yesterday. She tried to colic which is the horse version of a tummy ache except in horses, it has to be treated. She is an hour away at my friends house and I had to have an emergency vet visit AND have someone else available as I was on call. I called the barn today where DHOR10 (her son) is at and told them to let me know when there is availability as I want her closer and more carefully supervised. God love her, she is old and needs to go from assisted living to the nursing home! They said there will be an opening in December so I will move her then. MK, we are going to a place called Eagle Ranch in Collins, Missouri. I have been many times. I will take my camera so I can post some pics!

That trail ride sounds so fun! I hope your horse is ok. That is so scary when one of our pets gets sick. I'm glad she'll be closer to you soon.
We had fun at the lake Sat. but it about wore us out, lol. And then yesterday we cleaned the hot tub and had to change our car battery. And somehow still found enough energy to make it to the Irish Fest downtown. We met up with our Iowa friends who come down for it every year now since we took them 3 or 4 years ago. It was fun but now we're doubly pooped, lol. I'd like to do NOTHING today. If it gets warm I might go to the pool for a while but that's it. I hope. I have a very busy week ahead so I need to conserve my strength, lolol.

Hi ladies..
Back from Manhattan..Very fun game.. What happened to KU, Sandy? Sad for them. Oh, Cindy..your sweet little old lady horse... ![]() I'm so glad she will be with her son in December..I'm sure she will perk up then..MK: I'm tired too..I think the change of weather gets to us sometimes.. Buffy: Belk is a fun store..We have one 90 minutes from us. Got Brett a nice navy blue blazer and slacks at Dillard's yesterday. He doesn't like clothes shopping, so I wanted to make it quick and painless. The little guy helped us with blazer, pants and a tie..Then rang us up.. $500..

Still on the road to recovery here, lol. Not really, I'm fine but I am still tired. This old gray mare just ain't what she used to be, haha. Tonight is dinner theater, tomorrow night is church meeting/dinner, Thursday Bible study starts and Friday I have a Dr. appt!! Right now I can't wait until next week when hopefully things will slow down a little bit.
My grandson's girlfriend is having some problems with her pregnancy. Please add her to your prayer lists. And him too. They're both so scared as are all of us. the sonogram still shows the baby as ok; we just need her and the baby to get past this hurdle safe and sound. |

Hello gals. Yes Carolyn, had a great weekend. Had the family over for a BBQ last night and we ran thru 48 brats. Delicious!! Had so much fun with the 5 grandkids. I bought myself heavy cream and drank coffee with heavy cream throughout the dinner preparation, salad making etc and didnt snitch a bite! That fat sure does make one feel full AND satisfied. So today DS25 and wife took us out to Olive garden where I had a Caesar Salad with no croutons. Feeling much more in control this week! We went from 92 degrees to 68 within 3 hours yesterday afternoon. Happy week ladies!
