Now I'm stuck at 150. I was so hoping for a few tenths down this a.m. We have an event to attend at Arrowhead tonight with appetizers and cocktails and I really needed the added motivation a little loss gives. I'll do my very best. We have another "social" event (read drinking) tomorrow night too so 2 nights of good behavior. Yikes!!

Morning.
I am up a little this morning too, bleh! Getting ready for DD#2 and the 2 little ones to come out later today, getting toys out, the house picked up and if I have time to run to the store for milk, will make some banana cream pie for the 2 year old who LOVES Mema's Nana pie. Beautiful day here, supposed to only get to 90, it is 82 right now, love, love, love it. Yes, MK, you are the official master at moving kids in and out of college. Be strong Sandy, or like Carolyn says, be perfect during the day and enjoy letting go a little at your social events, after all, isn't that life????

If I do an oopsie it'll be tomorrow night. Since tonight is more "business" related I can be on my best behavior, lol. Plus I just had 2 chili peppers with Mozz cheese inside and wow! they were so HOT I ended up eating about a T of sour cream straight and then .5 serving of my homemade fatty yogurt.

Buffy: It is 82 here..that is a true gift from God.
Sandy: Some of those darned chilies are hotter than other ones..I don't know how to tell the difference. But I learned to wear rubber gloves when de-seeding them.. |

Yum! And what time is dinner?
I ended up having 2 small glasses of chardonnay last night at the event but then just had a cheeseburger-no bun for dinner. And stayed the same again today. I'm ready for some downward movement now. Grrrr. I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep so I jumped up and went to early mass. Now I really need to do some cleaning. But here I am posting away at my 'puter, lol. |

Morning....
Well, DD #2 and the little ones and DD#3 came over yesterday evening and after we played with the kids awhile, the DD's went out for Sushi and I fed the little ones here. Was a very busy 3 hours but lots of fun, the baby took a little nap during that time too so I was able to keep up with the 2 yo. He is a little whirlwind of activity. Dh doesn't get too involved with the grandkids but DGS 2 has decided that he really loves his Papa and wants to hang out with him, so DH spent some time with him, much to DGS's delight. Needless to say, I slept well, LOL. Tomorrow night our dinner club is getting together for this month. We missed out usual night out as it was the week the younger mothers were all getting their kids ready to go back to school and or college. So, tomorrow night, we are going to one of the gals homes and she is cooking Italian and we are going to have a quiet evening at her house where we can all really visit and catch up, we haven't seen much of each other over the busy summer. It will be fun but not low cal at all, or low carb. Hopefully, she will have a big salad to start the meal off with and that will fill me up so I can go easy on the rest of the meal. The good thing about my byetta shot is that I simply cannot overeat, it just won't let me. I can eat a little past comfort but then I just feel sick and I just can't make myself eat anymore, which is wonderful, for the first time in my life. If I eat past comfort, it really isn't worth it, I don't just feel uncomfortable, I really feel sick. Only 70 out right now, not sure what our high is supposed to be today but this cooler weather is so awesome. |

Hi ladies..
AKKK..I went up to 150..too much salt..and a small 1/2 ear of corn..Doesn't take much for me to gain..I don't think I drank much water yesterday which can make a big difference, so I am glugging today.. At exercise, my owner bought a 10 pound kettlebell with a DVD. I will try that tomorrow. It's supposed to be great all around exercise. Buffy: I'm so glad that Byetta works for your appetite suppression. I think that is a huge key for me..eating too much.. Oh..Brett should get his call from Garmin in a little while..Light the candles.. |

Yes, I was afraid of that, that's why I glugged down the cooling sour cream and yogurt hoping they'd all stay close to each other.
No bad effects yet except a little rumblin'. I'm a little afraid. Did you get the multiple quotes to work now? Quote:
Buffy, I think I could stand to use Byetta then just for that purpose! I've always needed an "off" switch.

Hi...
Sandy: Thanks for your prayers...I "listened" in the other room when he had his interview and I think he did fine. He is pretty articulate, so that is helpful. They will let him know next week if they want to come in for a face to face interview.. Nothing has a cleansing effect on me except magnesium..LOL.. Hmmm..on the kettlebells, I think there is a special way to hold them with your whole body, not just your arms..I think I might try the DVD tomorrow..It's short.. |

We're off to the lake today with the kids. I hope the boat does well.
I was down another 2# this a.m. I'm doing the happy dance!!!! That puts me at 148.4 so I finally got back below 150 and I'm going to stay there! |

Morning
Congrats on your loss Sandy, you have done really well!!! Prayers for Brett and his call backs. Lazy day planned and then to my friends hourse for girls night tonight. Probably a movie tomorrow so I guess a lazy weekend all around. DH had his 7 month checkup at the VA yesterday, his Dr. said she didn't know how he does it but his blood work just gets better each time??? He has very good family genes is all I can say and he is very lucky. It hasn't been that he has been good at taking care of himself. He sure gets good, complete care through the VA, wish I qualified as well. |

Yikes..on the "snowbank" effect of hot peppers, Susie..One bite is all it takes for me to stop..
Have fun at the lake, Sandy and happy dancing with you for your weight loss...Gosh our weighin is this Tuesday... Mg is great for sleep and bathroom issues, too. I take 500 mg in the middle of the evening and it helps for both things. Buff: Thanks for call back prayer. The VA is a blessing for many peeps..Well, we know that your dh has a great wife who takes good care of him and that's why he is so healthy.. Brett is doing some manual labor in our yard..It's a good thing. |

Sandy, I have a whole bunch of LC stuff if you would like. Carbquick (3 boxes, I think), coconut flour, almond flour, resistant wheat stuff, all kinds of stuff if you would like it. I am cleaning the pantry.

Sure Cindy! Thanks! I can meet you at the hospital if that's convenient or we can meet for coffee or lunch. Your call. Whatever is convenient. I'm pretty flexible most of the time. I think you have my email so you can reach me through that.

Good morning. Good to see you back MK.
Darn!!! I bounced right back up those 2 pounds I dropped. I need to be especially vigilant today. It's my oldest DGS's birthday today and he's ordered BLTs for his BD dinner. I already told my DD I'm bring lettuce salad so I have just have a BLT salad. But she's also making him peach crisp!! Peach anything is my very favorite so that will be a hard one to totally pass up. I might have a very small piece. I'll see how I feel at the time. |

AKK..I was 151 this morning..and I had made a blueberry/peach crisp with a LC topping, but those darned little blueberries combined with the peach are deadly..
We are going to our small group for church today and one lady has a birthday so the hostess made spice cake. I have already decided, I'm not eating it.. Hoping Brett will get an email this week for a face to face with Garmin.. Mary Kay: Oh...that German food is mighty tasty in Milwaukee..but that is a hard city to get around in if you don't know where you are going. |

Carolyn - we used our new Garmin and it was easy - though lots of construction, so it had to "recalculate" a lot!!

Good afternoon gals! Ive not had the time to chat much but i do try to read all the newsy news every day. Carolyn, is it hot down there today? Omaha is in the 90s and WINDY. This is the 1st time in years that we skipped the Offutt Air force Air show. Just is too hot out on that tarmac for me.
DS turned 15 today so we had homemade ice cream and brownies. NONE for me, have not gotten around to doing the SF ice cream yet. Then we went to our local Western Heritage museum to see the new exhibits. Have redoubled my efforts to do better at my dieting. So far 3 days and doing better. I wish my resolve didnt dissolve from time to time. Have a super happy week gals! Hard to believe Wednesday is September!

I was pretty good at the birthday dinner. I had the BLT salad and a teensy, tiny piece of the peach crisp, no ice cream. So hopefully it won't hurt me too much.
Carolyn, you'll have to help guide me to the good recipes to use up my flours that Cindy is giving me. That was so nice of her. Thank you Cindy! |

Carolyn, thank you so much for the ice cream freezer tips. I used Pam and the glycerine and it was much, much better. I guess I'll keep it now. I just hope I don't become an ice cream freak now, lol. If I'm only making about 10 oz at a time how much glycerine do you think I should use?
